Vern has never had anything to do with the albums, so it doesn't matter in terms of what the CD sounds like. Deron plays all the bass except on 2 or 3 songs where Chad did it. There is no word on who their next live bass player will be, but they say they are looking for someone who can play better than Vern. They've been recording for the last several months. Release was originally said to be late summer, but was then pushed back to late fall, now they say maybe the end of this year, or at the latest early next year. Deron has said that as of last week they had 7 tracks done musically and have 3 more to do. With the 7 songs the album comes in at 30 minutes which means it will be longer than IDR since the average track so far is over 4 minutes. Lyrics have been written for a few songs and only a few have been recorded. They are what comes last in the recording after they know for sure where the song is going. They have been expirementing with all kinds of new and different amps and effects as well to keep the CKY sound moving forward. Announced/Rumored song titles are these. The band has mentioned all of them at one time or another.: All Power to Slaves Dropped and Doublecrossed(Left over from IDR) Woe is Me(Left over from IDR) First Things First 5 Years Later The Butchers Hand When the Tables Turn Beyond Repair Hold Your Breath Tripled Manic State(a continuation to the idea of Inhuman Creation Station) Apparently some of the titles have changed since they've been mentioned and it is unknown if they are doing anything with Woe is Me or Dropped and Doublecrossed. One song on the album is supposed to use the acoustic jam that Deron does at the end of the Haggard Behind the Scenes, I don't know if it's one of those or a different song completely. There will be 10 tracks though. One thing that has had me very interested is that Chad is very excited about soloing on this album. He has said that he and Deron will both be doing the solos. I don't know what to expect from Deron, but I know Chad is a long time shred fan and have heard him do some great stuff. He loves all the old stuff from Shrapnel records and one of his big influences is Paul Gilbert's work with Racer X. I don't know if he'll be trying anything like that on the albums, but it could work.

I won $50 from a stupid friend who made the bet with me when the US was trailing by 7 in the first quarter. He gave me odds and everything. I still think the US has a very good shot at winning gold in the olympics.

I don't know, didn't he get his ass kicked by his ex-wife a while back?

If you saw the fight you could see his knee go. He wasn't really moving the same after it. I don't know that it would limit him so much that there's no way he could have won though.

You're forgetting the obvious here. Tyson had just recently come out of jail after serving 3 years and hadn't really fought anyone since. Frank Bruno and Bruce Seldon were lucky to even have title fights, both of them winning was pretty weird. His prime was long gone, age has nothing to do with it. You also add to that Holyfield gameplanned it perfectly. He played up all of Tyson's weaknesses which had rarely been seen to that point.

The heavyweight division is basically over for the time being. Like him or not, Tyson was the only one drawing any interest and even that had already dropped significantly. There are 3 different heavyweight champions right now and none of them draw at all. The contenders don't look very interesting either. I don't know what it will take to restore some interest in it.

Tyson looked alright in round one, but he had nothing after that. 17 months out of the ring doesn't help him at all and he probably didn't do much conditioning for that fight. The fight was over before round four started. Williams was fighting dirty early on, but it didn't really change the outcome of the fight.

ESPN Radio in Pittsburgh says the deal is official. Benson and 2 minor leaguers to the Mets for 3B Ty Wiggington and a AA pitching prospect.

The rumored deal of Benson from the Pirates to the Twins for Doug Mientkiewicz and a prospect is being denied by many sources now. Word is the Pirates just aren't interested in him because he makes too much money and isn't having a good season at all coming off injury. It's still possible that Benson will go to the Twins though, but it would have to be for a top prospect and another younger player. And here is the latest rumor http://msn.foxsports.com/story/2611108

HBO is definitely not carrying it. Mike is a Showtime fighter still. I will most likely be seeing it at a friend's house who will be getting it for free.

I just finished my first season in franchise last night. For some reason Duce Staley retired, he was pretty young and had a big season. One thing that I thought was cool was that Plaxico Burress had been injured 3 times during the year and never really got to recover fully from any of them and he ended up having his rating drop big time. I think he started at a 90 and ended up at a 74 because of the injuries he suffered. One thing I thought was strange, though was that I got the best player in the draft, an 81 rated corner, with the 27th pick.

On Pro difficulty I was breaking off 50 yard runs every series. Now I put it up to all pro and can't gain 50 yards a game. I'm still passing for about 400 though.

It just broke on Sportscenter, I don't think it's hit the major websites yet.
-
That's crazy. I just saw them talking about this on Sportscenter a few seconds ago. It's always the running backs leaving in their prime.

I've been having trouble with this glitch where everytime there's a challenge I end up getting called for delay of game after. I just had one where they challenged whether I crossed the plane of the endzone and they ruled against me and instead of 3rd and goal from the goal line I got 3rd and goal from the 6.

The latest Steelers news is that they have resigned LB James Farrior for 5 years, $16 million with a $4 million bonus. Also, LB Clark Haggans has broken his hand and will miss all of the preseason and possibly some of the regular season. This hurts them because he was scheduled to take over Jason Gildon's position and will now not get a preseason to prepare.

I totally forgot the Yahoo Draft and ended up having the number one pick. Good thing I remembered to do my prerankings on Saturday just in case. My team turned out pretty good, actually the best in the league based on those numbers, but it probably won't turn out as good. Because I didn't show up I ended up with 3 of the top 15 tight ends, though which is weird. My roster is: QB-Aaron Brooks WR-Chad Johnson WR-Joey Galloway RB-Priest Holmes RB-Eddie George TE-Tony Gonzalez WR/TE-Jeremy Shockey K-Matt Stover DEF-Kansas City BENCH Drew Bennett(WR) Willis McGahee(RB) Marcus Pollard(TE) New Orleans(DEF) The problems are Running back where Priest Holmes will get big points every week, but Eddie George is totally up in the air as to how much he will play this year. There's a chance McGahee will see some carries this year, but that isnt for sure either. I'd like to get a back up QB too. Being last in waiver priority doesn't help too much either. If anyone is looking for a tight end put in an offer. Team name-Foreign Objects

The guys at my EB said they have been told to expect to have the game in on the 21st.
-
Wow, 42 votes and it's still that close. Other than Don't Cry nothing has less than 4 votes or more than 6. That's crazy.

I bet the $250,000 cell phone bills come from him getting phones for everyone he associates with and then paying everything for them, then falling behind on the payments, getting late fees on all the phones, and so on like that.

The IGN review makes it seem like everything they've implemented was done extremely well for a first try. I look forward to this game more and more every time I read something about it. I just saw the Game Informer preview yesterday, now this review.

Cool. I like these leagues. You messed up your link though. The correct link is http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/su...oinprivategroup I called my team Foreign Objects.

I think you misread. That's the statement he made on Tuesday, but then changed it on Wednesday.

I've heard the new DEP, it's pretty good. Seems to have the ability to have more of a broad appeal than their earlier works too. Problem is while it is good, there are a lot of flaws to it that I've picked up on in the first few listens. I don't know if anyone else here has heard it, but my favorite album this year was AMEN-Death Before Musick. It's so angry, I love it. I don't usually like these modern day punk bands, but this CD is awesome. Apparently this album was supposed to get a major label push, but the label gave them $250,000 to record the CD, then decided to drop them during the recording and made them pay back the $250,000 that they already spent most of on the album. Then the whole band quit to go nu-metal which left Casey Chaos to have to turn down the one time only offer to open for the reunited Sex Pistols. Casey plays all the instruments, though, so the band leaving doesn't take anything away from the album. They put on an amazing live show too. My other favorites from this year so far are Clutch's Blast Tyrant which is probably their best work since the self titled and Brides of Destruction which isn't great, but it's a cool album. I downloaded the new Megadeth yesterday, I have only listened to it once so far, though, so I can't say anything about that yet.
