If Bryant really wants to play then becoming a free agent wouldn't be a bad idea. There's some demand for a wide reciever from a few teams and his rookie year proved he can be a very good number 3 and possibly a number 2 some where. I think all he really wants to do is compete for the starting spot. I also like seeing that at least there's someone who isn't afraid of Bill Parcells.

Metallica doing it for the fans.
jimmy no nose replied to Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye's topic in Music
I really want to hear this. There's always someone recording at those festivals. I know for a fact that there were overseas radio broadcasts of the show, and a lot of the festivals have TV broadcasts too. Metallica have also been recording a lot of their shows for livemetallica.com, so this has to turn up somewhere eventually. -
I can think of some really weird stories but I'll just tell my favorite one. Once in high school, 11th grade, I got called down to the office. The whole way there I was trying to think of what I could have done because it had been weeks since I'd broken any rules that I remembered. I get there and the principal says to me "Were you in the vending machine room this morning?" and I say no thinking maybe someone stole some money from the machines or whatever. He then says "Did you drink milk this morning?" and I say "No, I don't drink milk." At this point he just freaks out and goes "YES YOU DID I KNOW YOU DID, I'M GOING TO CHECK THE TAPE OF THE VENDING MACHINE ROOM AND WHEN I SEE YOU THERE WILL BE SEVERE CONSEQUENCES!" At this point he leaves and the assistant principal comes in. He was much more calm and says "I don't know what exactly the principal has informed you of, but I'd just like to explain the whole situation for you. Well this morning in your seat in home room we found a bottle half full of milk and half full of urine. We are now 100% sure that you left it there." I crack up for a good minute and he got pretty angry. He says "Alright, this is your chance to admit to doing it" and I say "I didn't do it." He says "Well then explain to me what happened?" I just tell him I have no idea. He then says something like "Well you were in there in homeroom and the room was empty periods 1 through 3, who else could it have been?" I of course respond with "Um...Couldn't it have been anyone in the whole school since the room was empty for 3 periods?" They still decided it had to be me and told me I was not allowed to use the hall pass at all until further notice and if I really had to go to the bathroom I would have to have the teacher call the office and ask for someone to supervise my bathroom visit. They also searched my backpack, mixed up all my papers, then confiscated an empty Best Buy bag from my locker. I don't actually use the bathrooms often, usually if I have to I waited for in between periods, so it didn't really matter to me. Every time there was a substitute teacher, though, I would make sure to make them call the office and get someone to follow me to the bathroom. Every time I'd just end up saying something like "I can't go with you staring at me" and just leave. About a week later there had been several times where someone would piss in the middle of the hallway. Suspicion started to move away from me because I was stuck in class at all times. Then a few days after that THE PHANTOM POOPER began to strike. What would happen was some crazy kid would take a crap in the bathroom, then smear it all over the walls and mirrors, sometimes in the hallways too. At this point they began letting me use the hall pass again. In the end, I never found out who pissed in the bottle the first time, I found out my friend had been pissing in the hallway to make them think it wasn't me, the Phantom Pooper was caught brown handed and expelled. We all lived happily ever after.

He didn't win any contests at all. He used to have a cable access show called Monkey BUTT Sex where he and his friends made fun of a bunch of lame bands and stuff like that. There was a guy working for MTV who loved the show and that guy eventually got promoted to being one of the higher ranking guys for MTV News and got into contact with Iann and asked him to audition. They didn't hire him until 2 years after the audition.

I play the drums, I've played in a couple OK metal bands. I play pretty loud and I'm always breaking sticks and cymbals. I can barely afford to keep up with the rate my cymbals get destroyed.

Since this topic popped up, I'd like to give everyone the chance to watch my new favorite video of all time. Gene Simmons-"Fire Starter": http://play.rbn.com/?url=realguide/music/s...i.rm&proto=rtsp You will all be amazed at how good this is.

Me and some of my friends like to play dodgeball every now and then. We bought some of those rubber balls and we usually play every other weekend. It's real fun, I can't imagine it continuing on for many more years or anything, though. It's still as funny now as it was in elementary school when someone gets nailed in the balls.

AMEN-"Death Before Musick", I'm liking it so far.

Is that really true? All the media outlets here in Pittsburgh say that the 1.75 million is more than he was making in Pittsburgh. I just found this article that says he was making 1.15 million as a Pirate: http://pittsburgh.pirates.mlb.com/NASApp/m...s_pit&fext=.jsp The Pirates, who are no longer obligated to play Mondesi, placed the veteran outfielder on waivers Wednesday, meaning he can be claimed by any team during the following 48 hours. A club claiming Mondesi will be responsible for picking up the remainder of his $1.15 million contract for this season as well as a $500,000 buyout for 2005. If Mondesi goes unclaimed, he will become a free agent. I don't think I heard that one, but I heard a Mondesi interview on there one day this week and it was actually the Disco Inferno talking with an accent, it was probably the same that time, he's on the show pretty often as a sports prognosticator and he was even making picks for the Stanley Cup game while pretending to be Mondesi. It was just a comedy segment I'm pretty sure.
-
The worst part of the whole thing is that Mondesi will be making more money to play the remainder of the season in Anaheim than he was going to for a full year in Pittsburgh. He should've just said he was unhappy in Pittsburgh, he would've been traded for some mediocre prospects with in a couple weeks.

So this game Payton and Malone decide to be the main offense for the Lakers? Payton+Malone=20 points, Kobe+Shaq=4 points. I keep thinking one of these days they're going to spread it around.

Mike Vick for the Falcons last year. I don't know if they were going anywhere anyway, but that pretty much ended the speculation that they would be.

My school had some pretty funny incidents with guest speakers. They didn't have anything to do with alcohol abuse. First they had some guy called Patch Adams who was some kind of crazy doctor/clown who I think there was a movie about. He ended up getting speakers banned from the school district for trying to spread his communist beliefs. Eventually they decided to bring guest speakers back and had Rocky Blier from the Steelers in the 70s. He was real boring and overly patriotic and talked about how you should stay in school. Eventually he goes "In conclusion..." and everyone cheers and gets up and leaves without him finishing. They never brought in another speaker.

I never look at posts like this, but for what ever reason I decide to click on this one and find a Turbonegro picture. Maybe I should look at these post milestone things more often.

I mentioned Trapped Under Ice because I have an MP3 of it that I got while downloading some other stuff they played recently. I checked and it turns out it was from 2000. I wouldn't be surprised if they break it out eventually during the tour, though.

I have the Game Informer and the article has one of the guys who is in charge of the game talking. He says that there will definitely be some rap music, most likely the early 90s west coast stuff, but he also said they're not focusing on rap. He said there will still be a variety of radio stations with different types of music. It'll be interesting to see what they bring out as representative of the early 90s after they did a pretty good job with the 80s in Vice City. I'm also interested in seeing what kind of voice cast they put together this time. In the Game Informer article the guy seems kind of against how games now rely on big name actors doing voice work to sell their games.

I think the official release date is October 16 or something close to that. Reading what people say about the character being black on Gamefaqs is pretty funny because I can never tell which ones of them are being making fun of the others and which ones are just stupid.

They've played some awesome stuff this tour and have been amazing sounding together. They've played Dyer's Eve, Metal Militia, Trapped Under Ice, and a few other rare songs recently. They haven't played much Load/Reload stuff and have added solos into a couple songs from St. Anger. It's definitely worth your money.

If you listen to reporters who went to Steeler's camp it's almost scary to watch the Steeler's offense without Burress. They have Randle El as their #2 reciever and Lee Mays as #3. Not a good situation for a rookie QB. I guess Burress said he plans on being in camp soon though regardless of contract, wouldn't be a bad idea on his part to just not show up until they talk contracts with him though.

Does anyone know how much Spiderman 2 paid for this advertising? I'm sure it was ridiculously high for a movie that's already going to make a lot of money with out it. It'll just be stupid this one time, but I'm going to get pissed if it ends up happening more frequently.

Is it true that Europeans hate Americans?
jimmy no nose replied to Nighthawk's topic in General Chat
I don't know about the rest of about all of Europe, but I didn't have any problems in Norway or Berlin. People were all pretty cool. Most places they'll be kind of angry if you don't make any attempt to speak in their language and just expect them to understand everything. In Scandanavia, though, almost everyone speaks good English. A few people told me it's because their TV shows and movies are subtitled rather than dubbed so they pick it up after a while during their childhoods. -
I've lived on mostly just Hot Pockets for the last 3 days. It's awesome.

I first heard that Are You Gonna Be My Girl song in the car a few times and would think it was Lust For Life every time it came on then the vocals would start. I heard some more of their albums and it turns out they copy a ton of riffs on there, some aren't quite as noticable as Are You Gonna Be My Girl, but it's still annoying to me. A funny thing I saw one time was MTV2 had a list of top 100 guitar riffs and had that Jet song at 72 then Lust For Life right above it at 71. How did they decide which one was better?

Ali Boulala pro model shoes from Osiris. They're awesome.
