Favourite Monty Python skits? Man, there are almost too many to mention, but here are a few: The Spanish Inquisition The Science Fiction skit Crunchy Frog (You don't even take the bones out? Well if we took the bones out it wouldn't be crunchy) The one with the old men discussing the hardships of their childhoods (I had to get up half an hour before I went to bed and eat a cold lump of poison for breakfast...)

Look at position #21 on the list.

I was shocked to see Ry Cooder make the list, let alone at number eight. A pleasant surprise indeed. I'm also glad that Richard Thompson, Mike Bloomfield, Verlaine, Fripp, Cipollina and some others made the list. But ranking Pete Townshend at #50, below Kurt Cobain? What in the good name of fuck?!

Chiun is god. "The seasons move faster than you". "The trained mind does not need a watch. Watches are a confidence trick invented by the Swiss". I can watch that movie countless times just for him. I don't think it's nearly as much fun as BTILC, but Chiun alone makes it a closer match than it should be.

Sellers played three roles in it. President Muffley, captain Mandrake and Dr Strangelove. He was supposed to play major Kong as well, but (I think) he broke his ankle as he was supposed to shoot those scenes, and he supposedly couldn't get the Texas accent right. Personally my favourite bit in the movie is Sellers' first conversation with the Russian PM. "Well now, what happened is... ah... one of our base commanders, he had a sort of... well, he went a little funny in the head... you know... just a little... funny. And, ah ... he went and did a silly thing...".

Actually it was Peter Sellers who had that line, as Scott was fighting with Russian ambassador. Great line though.
