Whether or not I work on it further depends on how many words over the limit you find acceptable, though it's probably best I do so anyway.

TNA Impact Spoilers for July 19th and 26th
Golgo 13 replied to DangerousDamon's topic in TNA Wrestling
I can only assume they're rushing Angle/Joe because if Joe leaving is a lock, they want to get something out of it as soon as they can or they want to give him the title before then to entice him to stay. -
I'll get 2007 on the cheap at some point. For Perfect if nothing else. Unless he's one of the legends this year, then fuck it.
-
Everytime Cena cuts promos like tonight Lashley looks better and better. When Lashley outshines you something is wrong.
-
I usually skip a year, so I bypassed 2007 and will be getting a copy this time. Burke, Sandman, Punk, Thorn, Cor Von, are all gonna be fun. I've never known somebody who actually uses divas in matches. I wish they were kept to something like Revenge where they come out with your wrestler as a non-playable character. Indeed voice overs are worthless and do nothing but consume space especially when three-fourths of everyone contributing obviously don't care. My biggest CAW peeves are on the appearance side. Suitable pre-made patterns for tights, etc., are nil, although this wouldn't be an issue if they got rid of the retarded crotch/ass blur and introduced a more freeform design system.

I could go for a Noble/Chavo feud. I'm digging Indian Bischoff too.
-
Raynor is one thing, but Doom on the other hand.

Teddy's problem is his reputation working completely against him. Though he's seemed mellow lately I don't think he can be trusted to not do something stupid and even for something relatively minor he'll be branded and thrown out on his ass. By giving him a makeover, namely getting that shit he wears off him and making him look like a real wrestler the other issues can be worked around. I just don't know if he would take to that and it's likely he won't even last that long.

I won't deny that Gurren Lagann is overrated but it's still not without its merits. But Yoko is the main reason most of anonymous rushes to defend it anyway, so who cares. And yes, although I've enjoyed some things they've done since, Gainax has coasted ever since the 90s. At any rate I do need to catch up on all the mecha lately. Reideen, Dancouga Nova, Kotetsushin Jeeg, etc., I still need to watch all the way through. I've read some but stopped when I found that one of the chapters out of what I downloaded was missing and I haven't bothered with re-downloading it yet. They could easily make a sequel since they left a lot out. The style brings it together. The heavy lines and shadows, etc., is a carryover from the juvenile delinquent manga it parodies and basically replicating the manga (minimal movement, the dramatic pauses) is the best thing they could've done with it. I still need to get around to watching the Cromartie movie while I'm at it. Even if their casting choice for Freddie was really odd.
-
Make Santino into a complete Jersey guido scumbag and he may be worth saving.
-
Yeah, it's up to episode four in Japan but only the first two have been subbed, while some of those other titles haven't even started yet. Good job on Cromartie High School.

I put soap on my toothbrush yesterday. More than once I've done the cereal in the fridge/milk in the cupboard thing. A few times when making Kool-Aid I've thrown the contents of the package or the sugar on the counter/in the sink.

So Haruhi S2 has been confirmed. No air date has been announced but the speculation is that Clannad will be pushed back and Haruhi will take the fall/winter position. Relevant images are here and the teaser vid is here. From the looks of things Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody and the Disappearance novel will be covered. Assuming there are another 14 episodes and BLR/Disappearance take up six, I figure the student movie/Sighs of Suzumiya will get one to fill in the holes there. Endless Eight will get one. Charmed at First Sight will get one. Snow Mountain Syndrome/Where Did The Cat Go will get three. Depending on how they handle the Melancholy of Mikuru since it's closer in tone to the next group of novels/a presumed S3 (but could be used to set that up along with Snow Mountain) then they could throw in the Suzumiya Haruhi Theater story. Anyway, to varying degrees, the crap I'm watching currently: Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Heroic Age, Darker Than Black, Skull Man, Seirei no Moribito, Engage Planet, El Cazador, Lucky Star, Hayate no Gotoku, Seto no Hanayome, Nagasarete Airantou, Lovely Complex, Hitohira. The new season has already started: Devil May Cry, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai, Zero no Tsukaima S2, Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpuchou S2, Zombie Loan, School Days, Geass 24 & 25, Mushi-Uta, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, among others. Though Shigurui looks to have samurai and loads of violence which could make it a watch.

I like the idea of Orton vs the Rhodes. As long as Dusty doesn't step into the ring.

I didn't like him much at first but I eventually came around on him and really wish his heart was still into wrestling. He really had the potential to be the next big star. I never did hold it against him when he left to try football. There's no use sticking around in a place you don't want to be if you're not into it. He seems sincere regarding everything and although I was disappointed with the NJPW situation I still wish the guy the best. The way he beat Vince at his own game months earlier during the comeback talks when everyone thought he was just a big dumb idiot for leaving to try the NFL was a stroke of genius, so that negates the NJPW thing in my book. I started loving the guy during his heel runs where he basically turned psycho. 2003/2004? I guess. That's when he really came into his own and you started to see the charisma and mic skills, neither of which are great, but fit together with his character perfectly. He got pushed too hard/too fast? Pft. When you have a freak like Lesnar who was like lightning in a bottle you have to capitalize. For as short of time as he was there and with as little training he had I thought he had an absurd number of memorable matches. I can't hold his 'sloppiness' against him either; I consider all instances from Holly to Bernard to his own SSP to be justifiable or of the freak accident sort. Eddie? I always considered that his big job.

Forgot to add the damn 'Promo' header. -------------------------------------------- "Tom!" Backstage during Storm, in front of a door appearing far more significant than others, Manson howls in distress as he pounds away "Hey, Tom!" "Oh Christ…" shouts a muffled voice from behind the door, "WHAT?!" "Tom! Buddy! I've been knocking and knocking…" "I know you have, and if it's about…" "Landon! Did you see that just now?! Did you see it?! He's playing you, Tom! He's playing you and he's playing me, treating the both of us like fools! Especially you, Tom, but as far as I go, the rap disses, the assaults, but he still won't accept, and hell, he isn't even here!" "Yes…" "I don't even know what to do anymore, Tom! I'm at my breaking point! You gotta help me! I don't know what to do anymore! Anyone in their right mind would accept so they could spare themselves more pain and humiliation after everything I've done, but he hasn't! Not Landon! I don't know anymore!" Wait… it's making sense now…" "Hey, Manson…. You seemed fine not even twenty minutes …" "I know! It's Megan! Yeah! The one with the brain, the one with the plan… she's the one! She's the one keeping him from Ground Zero! Why?! What does she have against me, huh?! Megan, Landon! But why they keep doing this when it only increases my burden, I don't get it! Or are they just trying to get to me?! Trying to get to me before then?! Tell me, Tom!" "I don't really…" "I can see through their game now, but this hurts, Tom! I mean it really, really hurts me, more than I could ever hurt Landon! And he's scared of me breaking his neck?! This burden they're putting on me, far worse than that! They… Landon and Megan both, they have no idea what not acknowledging me… they have no idea what it does. I'm telling you, Tom! I'm freaking out here! I'm… they're making me a little angry here and I'm at the end of my rope as far as Landon Maddix is concerned! I'm saying they wouldn't like me when I'm angry…" "You mean you're not angry now?!!" "I know it seems that way, but… Tom, up here…" says Manson, tapping the side of his head and smiling widely, "There's a lot going on up there, lots of motion, man, things swirling around that even I don't understand. And what I'm saying is it's ugly stuff, Tom… it makes what I've done lately look like Candyland… even I'm saying I don't like it, but Landon… That bastard, he… keeps screwing around with me, but he has no fucking idea who I am or where I've been and just what I'm thinking of doing to him right now …" "Maybe I should've scheduled that appointment," mutters Tom under his breath, "But listen, Manson. I've seen everything, and all I have to say in response is… take a break tonight." "What?! WHAT?! Tom, I mean, you can't be serious… I have a match against Fleihr… and I just need to… get my hands on someone right now…" "Listen. Just settle down, okay. It's unfortunate, but just trust in old Tom Flesher. We're (ugh) Best Friends Forever, right?!" says Tom as Manson nods accordingly, "Relax. Just take a load off, go have some dinner and a good rest. I'm gonna level the playing field here. If Landon gets to have the week off, then you will too. That's okay, right?!" "Hm." "And Manson, in return, come to Germany with us. Save up the aggression and rage, just keep thinking about Landon, let it build up inside and I'll give you something to do next week. And since Landon will definitely be on the show next week, you can take care of things there. Is it a deal, Manson?" asks Tom, extending his hand. "I understand," he says as he takes the handshake. "Yeah, I understand!" "Alright. Now get out of here, you rascal," Tom says to the Messiah as he departs. Pulling out a handkerchief from his breast pocket and wiping his hands, Tom chuckles to himself. "Yep. This should be fun, indeed."

I use Total Video Converter. It's quite ugly, but it supports many different formats and works regardless, along with being simple to use. I know very little about how best to use the settings though. I usually keep it to Xvid or DivX Avi and estimate about what I need. But you shouldn't need to shave much off that file.

So who's my opponent. And Rock Am was over a month ago but we can still pretend.
-
Scratch that, I suck.
-
MANSON vs. Rikard Fleihr.
-
As I recall Vince likes him but Stephanie isn't too fond.

No but cheating to win, as it was brought up earlier in the thread, doesn't do anything for him or most others for that matter, especially as champion. I know, he's a heel and they should be cheating to win, and that's fine once in a while, just not when he should be gaining credibility with the belt and as a wrestler in order to shake off his current stigma as a JTTS who got a fluke win. It doesn't do anything for him or the already badly damaged title. He's gonna look strong by giving Cena, the top guy in the company, a good, close fight. It's a just as good, if not better result than winning with a cheap, flukey roll-up with a grab of the ropes/weapons/run-ins/distractions/ref bumps and what not. The match did a lot for Nitro. Besides you should save the cheap stuff for actual feuds or once he's actually established. As I said, there's simply more to putting one over than just wins and losses. Just as examples, in the extreme, how strong does Jarrett really look when he needs all that stuff I mentioned before as champion? Even a fluke pin as a result of any of the above doesn't do much for mid-card faces when they manage to occasionally pin the main event heel, especially if they never follow up on it, but that's another matter. Of course wins and losses are important, but what's the point if no one looks good either way. In short, what really, really matters are how those wins and losses are booked.
-
Nitro looked like a million bucks by going long and hanging with Cena. There's more to putting someone over/giving them the rub than simply jobbing and this does far more for Nitro than getting a cheap win by cheating.
