I noticed a difference between FLAC and 320 even on standard desktop speakers, but it wasn't a massive leap. It's pretty impractical if you don't have the ears, the equipment or the space. Essentially if you're not an audiophile who insists on archiving stuff at an optimal lossless setting, I say don't bother. It's been said that most people can't even differentiate above 192 or so anyway. In any case, VBR is usually good enough for me.

It's as the nickname for him implies. He's an impersonal entity with no real connection to the community whose only definitive trait is performing menial tasks and fixing shit. I doubt most of us 'hate' him, though.

Rock, Afa, Snuka, Rosey, Jamel, Rikishi, they are all related. I think there might be some more in there but that's what I remember. They are the largest family in wrestling, or so it seems. The Wild Samoan site has profiles on everyone in the family and as I recall it used to have a huge description of the family tree.

Or maybe they'll go from Kanon to more FMP which I wouldn't mind either. I'm liking Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. A murder mystery, blood, violence, multiple story angles, all taking place in a rural village. Awesome.

Other than being extremely annoying since he arrived, nothing... but if that's what has to be done. The big fish is EHME. Yeah, I was about to say, check the pinned thread in NHB.
-
Like there's a need for any of this. What do these 'phone calls' about 'death threats' have to do with NHB specifically? The only death threat I've seen in NHB recently was in a joking manner using a cultural reference by RHTITE, unless you count EHME's ridiculous braggadocio. The alleged racisim is questionable too. It's stupid but obviously no one is serious or malicious with it. Rant's use, maybe, if only because he's white, but I don't hear him going on about beating up darkies for fun, either. Seriously, take care of in some way the people who are overusing the word in response to the joking, incidental use by Rant and are doing no good for anyone, and it would solve 90% of the problem. Just maybe if this stuff had been enforced up until now, there wouldn't be a problem. Not once have I seen the racism rule acted upon since way back. Not that I want rigorous enforcement from the mods anyway. We should only ban if it's a distraction to the board, like spamming, trolling, etc., and screw everyone who can't take what someone on the internets says, unless in a one in a million chance there stands a real danger of it crossing over. I'm not saying to become completely tasteless, but most of us act like grown-ups and can refrain and take it in good humor or as a case of internet tough guy-ism. Evolve, TSM. Much like the golden rule "Just don't be a dick" which should be enacted more often. Regardless of all this, NHB and GTG are the places to contain crap, and it does its job most of the time. There's no reason for that to change and if anything, we need to drop GTG first and foremost. Way too many words wasted on this pointless issue. teddy bear.

For sure, but I'm talking about continuing after Kanon, which should provide enough of a break away from it. It's just my own preference anyway. I have little interest in Kanon when it's a remake of a five year old show that from all accounts wasn't even botched like Negima, Hellsing, etc., shows that actually warrant a new version, though I'll probably give it a chance since it's Kyoto behind it. Ah, Funi isn't so bad anymore, I believe I prefer them even to ADV these days, the excellent and superior to everything Cromartie dub notwithstanding. It could be moot anyway, as they move toward splitting duties and sharing actors on shows like Full Metal Panic: The Second Raid. Geneon is preferable, I just hadn't heard much in the way of them as far as Haruhi goes. This is coming from the same site that said fillers would end like twenty weeks ago, so take this with a grain of salt. At the least, it makes more sense to end at this juncture than at any other. It's a big milestone, they've gotten the third and final pre-skip movie out of the way, and they're sqeezing in everyone they can in recent episodes, not to mention some very ambiguous titles leading up to 200.
-
A second season of Haruhi was inevitible once it took off. There's a lot of material in the novels to play around with and they left things wide open enough to where they can squeeze things in chronologically. Everyone involved would be fools not to capitalize sooner rather than later. The most specific or at least the most speculated upon names I've read as far as licensing goes are ADV and Funimation. I would be fine with either.

The answer is to ban all the blacks.

That's the Infrared. I think the Code Red is actually a lot more believable than the Destroyer. -
No one has ever whiffed or botched a move before.

“MANSON!” His bag slung over his shoulder as he walks through the garage, MANSON grumpily swivels his head around and looks behind to see Ben Hardy running after him, looking for a scoop with microphone in hand… “MANSON! Have you heard what…” “This is about Nemesis’ keeper, I know. I’m one step ahead… but it’s no longer my concern, I’m prepared to take the next leap. Starting on Lockdown, I’m opening the gates of hell, unleashing my true strength and setting my destructive sights on Cross, on Blank, on Toxxic …” “Wait! Before you go further, I’m afraid to say someone likes William and Nemesis. On Lockdown…” “I see.” “It’s a Grudge Match!” screams Hardy, as MANSON drops his bag and his eyes widen. “The liontamer has a grudge with MANSON, wants another match… intends to sic his hound on me. I see now... Nemesis isn’t the problem… it’s his keeper…” “Well, he IS the one that demanded it.” “I said Nemesis was the pretender, the usurper, covets what he can’t have, intending to take our power, and perhaps William the lost, the one lured in… but it’s clear… the man who intends to take the throne… it’s him… William Attenborough…” “That does seem to be the case here.” “I hadn’t paid him mind before, but now… he’s the evil here… the murderous highway robber, the rancid, poisonous flesh on the tracks, the dark figure that carries away souls from the path of righteousness and peace and takes our might, raping our minds making them his… and Nemesis is the pathetic tool... the lost, forgotten one… manipulated...” “Er… if I may, how do you intend to emerge victorious yet again?” “…if you want to kill a weed… you go to the root… you chop down what’s in front and then strike the source… as long as Nemesis is his pawn, he must be destroyed by my power, my righteous hand... then you get to the dark man behind him… once that’s done, my light will shine the brightest… so help MANSONosity, to protect our power... trust in me... and we will get it done...” he says, leaving Hardy as he picks up his bag, slinging it back over his shoulder and walking off in thought…

Likely Thursday, but don't take my word for it. Actually, it looks like YouTube has episode one and two.

I'll give you the business. You realise that giving someone "the business" means fucking them, don't you? Untrue.

The influcence of mixed martial arts in pro wrestling
Golgo 13 replied to Lord of The Curry's topic in The WWE Folder
I'm guilty of it and it doesn't make it right, but those threads were honestly awful. The impact of MMA on wrestling and vice versa is a bigger concern than this week's news fluff or some rehashed topic or boneheaded question what with the rise of MMA and wrestling promoters wanting to capitalize. I like aspects MMA in my wrestling. In a bloodfeud, for example, I think it makes a hell of a lot more sense than Irish whips and a bunch of blatantly assisted maneuvers. I feel qualities of MMA in wrestling help to get hatred across better, but only if the wrestlers can make it work. Otherwise you get sloppily applied holds holds and poor attempts at groundwork which come across as forced, especially when the rest of the company isn't with that mindset. As was also said... if wrestling really hopes to arbitrarily throw this stuff in and attract MMA fans who weren't wrestling fans already... fat chance. It very likely does more harm than good, instead setting yourself up to be dropped by wrestling fans who either dislike the direction or go on to discover MMA. -
SWF Lockdown Card for August 9, 2006!

Just so you know, Nemesis, I'm never happy with my stats. Thus, I update a lot. So grab the latest. -
Smash Bros. Brawl will use the classic set-up. Others will only use the Wii as it's intended, like Super Mario Galaxy, I believe. Some will surely have the option of both schemes (or in the case of GCN Twilight Princess, playable on the Wii and Wii Twilight Princess, two different versions, though it's unknown if the Wii version will have another scheme available). An official Kid Icarus announcement? A real Donkey Kong game? Otherwise, I don't know.

Quit rubbing it in, Two Sheds.

God. 11th Squad is so awesome. Overwhelmingly brutal yet hilarious.

You better work on those insecurity issues, Scrobster.

Would you mind telling me my record?

There's no reason the main criteria for shows can't be the same for characters for the most part. Though I'd rather it all be kept in a speculative discussion stage anyway.

Thanks. Though if Nemesis wasn't my opponent, I wouldn't even have bothered, since that provided the motivation to finally take the next step. Now I at least have some direction.
