Take note of stats changes, JJ. -
No. He just liked booze a lot.

My father's dead.

I didn't even notice it was (almost) April Fool's. I hope you're right in that case, although this does go with the earlier rumor about the controller and Nintendo is just crazy enough to do it. In either case, it's not all that long until E3, and we'll probably find out the truth then.

Jericho also had 'The Last Survivor of the Hart Family Dungeon' in ECW, pretty much a Joey Styles thing, and 'The Man of 1004 Holds' in WCW due to his feud with Malenko. On the McMahon Helmsley Faction/Regime, I'm tempted to say one was before the addition of Vince and one was after, but I don't think there was ever much difference. It was also called the McMahon-Helmsley Facgime a few times.

I was watching Velocity a couple of weeks ago and he botched a few rather simple move calls, which pretty much made me think of Schiavone with all the personality of Todd Grisham.

I see no reason why Cena should have ever dropped the Protoplex. He had used it a few times and changed its name to the Killswitch, then not long after he began using the FU, it was gone like that. Vastly superior to the FU, anyway, and it would serve as a nice secondary finisher now. I don't want to go too far defending JBL, but there are plenty of reasons his run bombed. Him turning and winning the belt out of nowhere, for one, so it took at least two or three months for fans to begin warming up to him. Then there was the fact that outside of Eddie he hasn't really feuded with any dynamic opponents that could carry the load and play off him. Undertaker is basically there to pop the crowd and was coming fresh off his awful Heidenreich feud. Booker had been mishandled for a while now and joined SD as a heel, spent the months running down SD and the fans, then turned and hadn't even been a face for a month before his PPV match with JBL, and I don't think anyone seriously gave him a chance. With Angle it was all kind of awkward, what with them both being heels and it seemed like they just stuck him in because they had no plans for him otherwise. With Show, I don't think anyone took him seriously either, and he was coming off feuding with Angle's cronies, if I'm not mistaken. Plus, it's not like any of these guys had very long to gain sympathy in their plights against JBL, nor was there much build to their matches with JBL in the first place. Anyway, with that said, I'd prefer they stick with JBL until he surpasses one year as champ, and that's when Cena gets it.

That's... something else. When rumors of this first broke, I just expected them to drop the d-pad completely and the B, A, Y, Z, etc., in favor of color coded buttons, with maybe a touchpad in the middle. It better be fucking outstanding, but I truthfully can't imagine it being intuitive, looking attractive or having a nice feel to it.

I'm doing just fine killing prostitutes without the help of GTA, thanks.

God has some fucked up dependency issues.

Steve Romero and Michael Cole on the same announce team. I shudder at the thought. I'm hoping it's Matthews. He and Cole have worked together on Velocity and did a fine job.

Haunted or not, that's still one fucking creepy painting.

Well, they had their regulars at The Asylum, too. Anyway, vaguely related to the thread, but has TNA EVER run a show that wasn't in Nashville or Orlando? They should've been running shows (house shows, PPVs, TV tapings, whatever) in other areas all this time to get the word out once a day like this hit, assuming it goes through, but I can't remember anything of the sort.

Terri Schiavo is far from a tragedy, especially one on the scale of the Challenger Explosion.

I don't think it's really gullible idiots that put in bids for these things. Just folks with too much time on their hands and money to burn looking for dumb kitschy shit with some kind of story attached to it or how they came by it, at least two-thirds of them never intending to pay in the first place. Or maybe I'm putting too much faith in the human race.

I really doubt Viacom broke off negotiations with the express purpose of picking up TNA, but as long as it's there, why not. TNA comes in much cheaper than WWE and they're surely dangling that carrot in front of Viacom. Maybe Viacom figures it's not that much of a risk to take due to the low cost, and it's still original programming they don't have to produce, which'll fill a hole in their schedule for a few months at least. And all this advertising talk. At least now the lower cost, lower production values, lower ratings, etc., would justify the lack of top level advertising. Viacom would be a bit more willing to forgive it, then, since they'd be paying much less. With that said, we don't even know if they're going to be on Mondays, which they would be complete idiots to do, or primetime at all, which is where the big advertisements come in. All rampant speculation on that point by PWI.

Wednesday between 9 and 11 PM. Mountain Time, by the way.

Well, there is a little invention called the beef rib that is also good. See, the family always made pork ribs when I was growing up and it continues to this day, so I've pretty much just stayed away from ribs period since that was the association in my mind. It's dumb of me but until a few years ago, I wasn't even aware that beef ribs were that common with pork being the preferred rib. Still, either way, it's not like I'm gonna try them any time soon.
-
I've never had ribs either. Or at least, not real ribs, since I've had the McRib and its school lunch counterpart. But I was always turned off by the real thing due to its look after cooking and the fact that I don't like a lot of pork stuff in the first place.

Unbreakable is great. I didn't see The Village and didn't care much for Signs and the vastly overrated Sixth Sense.

A) Count to 10 and walk out of the room when you get pissed. B) Take it out on a punching bag for a few hours or exhaust yourself running or bike riding whenever you feel stressed. There. I just solved your problem and it didn't cost a hundred bucks.
