Woof. My name is now end5mouth.

Just grab one of those little wrestler avatars you see everywhere and tinker with it in an image editing program (Paint, PhotoShop, etc).

That sound you hear is the PS2 screeching

I really doubt the appeal will be successful, but I expect that in addition to the settlement here, Sony will toss bigger money at Immersion in order to continue using the DualShock. -
HHH v. Batista: SHOULD HAPPEN: Batista makes relatively short work of HHH, avoiding everything HHH throws at him and dishing it out twice as much, putting a little bit of fear into him and leaving him to wonder what he created. WILL HAPPEN: Batista wins, but not without Triple H looking just as strong in a big match ending clusterfuck. I wouldn't count out botched interference by Flair, opening the door for more ass kissing in an effort to make it up to him or HHH dumping him and going solo once more/remaking Evolution/reuniting with Steph. JBL vs. Cena: SHOULD HAPPEN: JBL wins with help from the Cabinet, Cena snaps after the match, and the chase is on, with JBL surpassing one year as champ before Cena finally takes it from him at SummerSlam. WILL HAPPEN: Cena wins in an underwhelming stinker of a match, making short work of the Cabinet and JBL himself and ending everything with his usual routine. Angle vs. HBK: SHOULD HAPPEN: Angle wins clean with the Anklelock. HBK is sent to SD to continue the feud and give them some desperately needed star power, as well as allowing Angle to have his last great hurrah. WILL HAPPEN: HBK wins clean. I'd like it if WWE gave a nod to the post-match from HBK/Jericho a few years ago, but I kind of doubt it. Money in the Bank Ladder Match: SHOULD HAPPEN: WWE surprises folks for once, pulling the trigger on a big Benjamin or Christian push, starting with the win here. WILL HAPPEN: Underwhelming match, considering Edge, Benoit, Kane can't take the big bumps, and I don't really know that they'd want to risk it with Benjamin, despite being younger than the rest. Edge wins, since a match with potentially big consequences at the biggest show of the year isn't the place for petty punishments, and WWE will need a ready made feud for Batista that isn't Triple H, with Edge being the best option for that. Undertaker vs. Randy Orton: SHOULD HAPPEN: Taker wins in a close, competitive match in which they pull out all the stops which serves to put Orton over as much as a win would. WILL HAPPEN: Orton dominates just to save him from bumping too much, Taker comes back to win with a Tombstone and a possible stretcher job to set up a feud for SummerSlam or Survivor Series, depending on how long Orton is out, where Orton goes over. In the meantime, bring back RNN. Rey Rey vs Eddie: SHOULD HAPPEN: Eddie teases the Lie, Cheat and Steal routine but refrains for the most part, having a good, clean match with Rey, which eventually sees him getting the win. Tension afterward but Rey calms him down, Chavo enters and does a supposedly unknowing Eddie's dirty work, Eddie (or London) chase him off. Rey and Eddie hug, but not without the doubt about Eddie. WILL HAPPEN: Chavo plays a role in the finish, Eddie takes advantage of it and wins but plays dumb, and no turn as of yet. Trish vs. Christy: SHOULD HAPPEN: Trish destroys Christy despite Lita's interference. Christy stops pretending she's a wrestler and goes back to standing around in lingerie, while Trish feuds with a recovered Lita, Victoria, or a newcomer from OVW. WILL HAPPEN: Christy wins with Lita's help. Trish wins it back later and we proceed to the second part of the above. TBS vs. Akebono: SHOULD HAPPEN: Show wins in a five minute affair. WILL HAPPEN: Show wins in a five minute affair... unless this turns into Butterbean v. Bart Gunn II. But how old is Akebono? I fear WWE has designs on bringing him in as the new fat, plodding sumo guy ala Yokozuna or Rikishi. And I expect to see one or two of the following. A short Regal/Tajiri v. La Resistance match, or if they want to wedge two more guys in, Regal/Tajiri/Rhyno v. La Resistance/a random Raw heel like Simon Dean or for something cool and random, Rene Dupree. Depending on if Chavo can go, a short London/Chavo match or another Cruiserweight Clusterfuck Exhibition, where London can go over in order to build him up. And a four way US Title match with any combination of Orlando and Booker/Dupree/Kenzo/Haas/Holly.

Is the guy that comes in and leaves supposed to be IL? And I made one of my own, guys.
-
Hey, does anyone have Arn Anderson's spot promo and the nWo's follow-up?
-
Previous to being brought back for the Modest match he was supposed to come in to work an angle with Vampiro, but that fell through. And he DID land on his head during the match. Got a stinger from it, as I recall. Anyway, Daniels was once under a WWF developmental contract and worked regularly for UPW and APW, both of which were WWF feeder feds, so it's not as if they didn't have their eye on him. He even made a couple appearances, albeit under a mask, as one of the Conquistadors when E&C were feuding with the Hardys.

Electric Playground is awful, none of the content interests me, and the sight gags, so-called humor, skits and what have you are all extremely forced. Meanwhile Judgement Day is somehow even worse than before with the Versus thing, which is just a bad, bad idea. Tommy and Victor both are just douchebags and I can't fathom how they've gathered so many rabid mutants willing to defend the show to the death. On TSS, I recall Leo already had a diminished role in order to take over Call for Help, and both Kevin Rose and Sarah were regulars before the sale, so they didn't get rid of the "entire" crew, or at least not initially, since Yoshi was let go a few months ago, which was a dumb move. However I really don't care one way or the other about the name change. That's really a very minor thing compared to how many other changes they've made. X-Play really isn't that different from how it was on the old channel. To the best of my knowledge Morgan and Adam both have big, perhaps increased roles in how the show is run, so if anyone is to blame for any perceived changes, it's them. Unscrewed was all hit and miss. I like Martin, at times, and Laura Swisher's breasts are fantastic, but she was just ruthlessly unfunny. I don't miss it too much. And not that I was a fan before, but the new Cheat is awful. Cory Rouse was a capable host who was a bit geeky and could connect with the fanbase, but the new host, apparently some American Idol reject, is terrible. Pretty much another Diane Mizota, aka some chick from Hollywood looking for a payday, but the people seem to have accepted the former since she's a good host, unlike the new broad who's simply stiff as a board. All the sets are likewise awful. They're all either pastel or neon, much too modern, metrosexual and annoyingly bouncy. I also find that, lately, they're talking down to their audience a lot more. Can't believe I just wrote that much about such an overall awful channel.

Before I stopped watching period, I always seemed to just miss his Nicho El Millionairo work in Mexico. Then I spotted him in TNA a number of weeks ago playing squash boy in a match with Jeff Jarrett, so I can't accurately gauge him in either case.

Here's a novel idea... don't bring one. Unless it's the wittiest fucking thing on earth, signs are for tools.

All of Edge's move names are pretty awful. Meh. I like the MCTHFG. Being that Saturn at the time was whacked out of his gourd, it made sense in the context of his gimmick to use something goofy and non-sequitur. Likewise with the Au Revoir, it fits with La Rez's entire schtick.

I would have been well under way posting the SJL shows by now, but some knucklehead has it set so regular members can't post in the archives.

Maybe if we include a bunch of ridiculous graphics too.

SWF Smarkdown for Monday, March 21, 2005!
Golgo 13 replied to Ace309's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
Well, I'm 1500 deep into the match, but it shouldn't be too hard to write you in. -
I have nothing but free time, so I'm willing to gather SJL shows.
-
It's not accurate because yourself and others hadn't yet gotten their stats up.
-
Meh. Just keep the ICTV name.

Yeah, it's not the FCC's jurisdiction, as much as they would like to be running cable as well. The cable networks regulate themselves and their programming. The only reason you don't have more stations going further is because of the fear that they'll lose viewers and advertising dollars.

The office is holding me down. I figure I should be at the next show with a "Book Me" sign.

Of what I've seen, I don't really like Saiyuki. Anyway, check the Full Metal Panic info here.

It's a good thing I never posted in this thread.

C-Bacon, in some WWE thread.

Oh God, his late-WCW run... I remember he was paired up with Oklahoma and had that feud with Vampiro and The Misfits. Better than his WWF run, I guess.

Yes, but the old animated banner is around, for those that want to use it. And as far as I know, no one even posted it to be rated yet, and we won't even know the ratings for a week or so.
