What's the guy in the lower right corner doing? Is he hiding from the shirtless kid? Or rather, is he preparing to run through the two guys in front of him in order to lunge at the shirtless kid and attack him, beating him severely so that he may emerge as the alpha?

EA signs a 5 year exclusive deal with NFL
Golgo 13 replied to MarvinisaLunatic's topic in Video Games
Yeah. Some of you are definitely using 'monopoly' where there isn't one. Is it a bastard move by EA which undercuts the competition? Yes, but EA isn't taking the game of football away completely. If they were to suddenly pick up the NCAA rights, before moving on to NBA, MLB, NHL, etc., then there could be a case made. However, as for how this, combined with EA's past actions stacks up for a 'monopoly' argument, it's a good case. As for comparisons between WWE and NFL, etc., they're completely different beasts as far as the entertainment they specialize in and how they approach matters. The best I could come up with is that WWE is nothing more than television show or movie franchise, and that's how they've always approached the way they hand out licenses. However, what's baffling is that the NFL has always encouraged competition between game makers, for as long as video games has been around, even if the games were awful. This deal is bad not only for EA and gaming as a whole, but for the NFL as well. -
I wasn't even aware there was a band by the name of Jackass, but after visiting what I assume is their site, they're definitely not involved in that whole clique.

I'm watching Nuggets-Heat right now and Carmello rolled his ankle again. It looked pretty awful.

Yeah. Why Jay Garrick of all people... It should be fine enough, though.

Rant isn't banned, at least according to his member group. I'm lost.

What movies will you be going to see in 2005?

Do you remember a short-lived sci-fi show on FOX by the name of Firefly? Yeah, a lot of people don't, but Serenity is the big screen version. Batman Begins Fantastic Four King Kong Sin City Serenity I'm not sure about the last two, but Batman and FF are definites. -
Drew Carey is awful, as was his show. Leno Friends Bernie Mac is okay sometimes, but largely the Original Kings suck That fucking Blue Collar TV clique Ray Romano/Everybody Loves Raymond Kevin James/King of Queens MadTV Overall, SNL is terrible Hell, all your atypical sitcoms are generally wretched.

On a more serious note... While the CFC booking couldn't be helped, with the exception of the Manson-Kibagami abortion at Ashes to Ashes, why hasn't Manson had a match against even one face since turning heel? He's fought absolutely nothing but other heels. I figured this would right itself after the CFC, but nope, it continues...

Meaning no more picking on Damaramu.

SWF TUESDAY NIGHT SLAY RIDE CARD!

Blah. -
Yes, in retrospect my team could have won had I been able to check my messages earlier and tacked on a quick ending to the 2100 we had, but thanks for pinning me and not the logical choice in Austin or anything, guys. Before anyone gets uppity, I'm joking. Sort of.

They could always try setting the story in a foreign locale, as already mentioned, going back to ideas from the first two games, or even revisiting cities they've done recently. I'm sure they would love to remake and upgrade GTA III at some point, or expand on Las Venturas. England. Russia. South America. Mexico. Hong Kong, Taiwan. Japan. Although gathering soundtracks for many of those... yeah, that's the problem. The best chance of any of those would probably be Japan or England.

Golgo 13 replied to Lightning Flik's topic in Video Games
Yeah, probably should have done a seperate voting thread. From the topic index, I didn't even notice that you or anyone else posted again or that it was bumped. -

EA signs a 5 year exclusive deal with NFL

Guess it's official now. Something like this was posted here a few months back, but it was written off and both sides went so far as to send out rebuttals saying it wouldn't happen. I wonder if Sega has any legal grounds to challenge this. -
He's right, anyway.

Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events

www.google.com That's all it takes, people. -
There's only a monthly charge for certain games. Everquest and Final Fantasy come to mind here. Adapters run from $30-40. Not that I actually have an adapter yet, but from what I understand, it's easy to set up. You plug the network adapter into one of the rear PS2 ports, attach your modem/ethernet line, go through registration, and you're good.

It's probably worth mentioning that Fatburger has made its way here, although I've never gone to it since it's too far out. Anyone ever been?

That was the beginning of the end. Here's where the ban was actually handed down.

Speaking of regional chains, Good Times is some great stuff. But apparently it hasn't yet exited the state, except for one lonely store in Idaho. Of the major chains, Carl's Jr. is my choice, followed by Sonic, Wendy's, then the rest.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronic_Arts That's the gist of it at the bottom of the page, including links to stories of employee treatment. Admittedly I still buy EA, but with their main draws in the sports line-up being caught up to by ESPN, I can't see that lasting for very long.
