  1. Wow. You're like a year late.

And who knows. Perhaps wrestling will once again become as popular as it was. Perhaps the Smarks boards will gain in number. Perhaps we’ll lurk around until someone enters those forums, takes a gander, and asks “Is anyone from this still around?”

Due to other circumstances this board is as good as dead. Maybe more old faces will come in wondering what happened before then, but an increase in SWF inquiries or new traffic isn't very likely.

For any alumni who are curious and reading this, the Real TSM (find it yourselves) is still active elsewhere. There are some familiar names there, but it isn't as wrestling centric and is unlikely to ever host another SWF, much less any e-fed, ever. I'd wager many have moved on to other things and have no interest anyway.

  2. I just wrote it off so no excuses from me. Like every time this occurs I assumed one of the other two were going to hand something in.

Well, no one likes when this happens, but it was one of those hiccups that occur every so often. This was worse than any in recent memory, sure, but it's just one you have to ignore and hope doesn't happen again. The TSM changeover didn't help any and I'd say that was a factor in disrupting things.

  3. I was briefly on a team of sorts in elementary. Later on I would often top the score sheet among whoever was playing. No idea what my high is. Upper 100s I think. I have no form, technique, or any of that. In fact, for a while, until I changed the way I held the ball, I found I wasn't even holding it right. My strategy is to throw it down the middle as hard as I fucking can. Haven't went in years, though, and am likely terrible now.

  4. I've tried with college basketball (and collegiate sports, in general, but more so with basketball) and I can't do it. The play is inferior, the amount of hype during the season is overbearing, the atmosphere and branding is superficial and manufactured, and it means supporting the NCAA, which I don't want to do. I just don't get it. If you went to the school, or really, really have no other options, fine, but why should I care. It's a farce.

  6. It's not like Royal and Stokley are slouches. And that offensive line is in no way a downgrade from NE.

I can't blame Cutler for being upset about the situation, but I can blame him for not being the bigger man here, even if it's not necessarily his fault.

  7. Sure, the organization could whisper all the assurances and sweet nothings it wants in Cutler's ear, but at some point it falls on him to realize he hasn't done much to merit all this ballyhoo except managing to perform to expectation, meet the Broncos halfway, do his job and prove they were wrong about considering a trade, before he's sent to the Lions or somewhere equally as desolate. Just be the leader he's supposed to be. In refusing to do so, even to the point of possibly not coming to the offseason program, he's basically proving his detractors right and ensuring a self-fulfilling scenario with a trade, and even if the Broncos bow to his whims by giving him all the hugs and kisses he wants, it threatens the structure of the team and gives Jay an even larger ego and sense of entitlement, setting up more issues down the road.

  8. Who takes a nine week old camping anyway.

On aliens, as TMM said, it can't be looked at from what we know and our point of view, not that I believe in most abductions anyway. I'm also no science major, but long-distance travel would rely on something like the wormhole theory, efficiently shortening the distance, and not something as simple as merely trying to match or exceed the speed of light.

  9. I don't know. For all his faults, under Stern's reign, he brought a lot of international attention and business to the NBA and basketball as a result, making up for what he's done otherwise.

Dama would be helped so much by ignoring ESPN, etc., for a week or two at a time and sticking to the internet for coverage. A lot of his problems with sport seems to stem from overexposure to the WWL and their ilk.
