I never understood Mexicans driving around thumping Mexican resturant music...

Peace and Corps?

This would seriously harm the economy up here. I remember when power rates were fairly inexpensive where people were running a $50-75 a month power bill before and now for the same amount of power we are talking $150-200. I don't think it would fly but it's a stupid decision as if power bills go up for companies that rely on lots of power it will end up with people losing jobs or entire companies moving.

Unfortunately it's getting predictable. A poor man's IDRM. Almost like if Banky were behind it and trying to steal IDRM's heat.

They're a full dynasty, in my view. They won ten straight division titles, and led the NL in wins for five years in a row. The 1949-53 Yankees are the only other team to do that. They won three NL titles, and a world championship. Great players? Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine, Chipper Jones, and Andruw Jones are likely Hall of Famers, and John Smoltz and Javy Lopez have a chance to post HOF numbers by the time they are through. Yes, they have their postseason failures, but its not easy to win an eight-team tournament, and that is the ONLY strike against them. The thing is dynasties usually refer to a single team, but Atlanta has gone through numerous transformations in that decade. Aside from Smoltz, who else is still playing for Atlanta in 1991? I consider that more a great franchise that has good management and a knack for finding players than a single dynasty. I don't think it refers to a single team of certain players at all. I think in say a 10 year scope it is based on dominant records during most of their seasons, divisional titles, and championships and consistently being the champion or around the championship. If you look at the Braves like Al was talking about just in the 90's they won 1 WS, 5 NL Championships, won 8 Division titles (not counting the whole 1994 thing). That's a hell of a 10 year span for any sport. I could consider them to be a dynasty for the 90's for sure as they were a dominant force. Just as the Bulls were a dominant force during the 90's in the NBA and there was a good amount of turnover between the first three peat and the second so I don't think the "players" part holds too much water.

The upcoming Sonics vs. Suns game should be better.

They don't get AS much of their power from BPA but they get a good chunk. You would still see an increase in your power bill.

It's a good price if it's the DLP model.

Sad to see it come down as it has provided some awesome pictures of space. A shame that more resources aren't put to getting back to the moon like when Kennedy was president. Oh well, only another 10-15 years.

I tip based on service and distance from my house. The Pizza Hut and Papa Johns are a literally a 3 minute drive away so no more than $3 dollars and if they can't make it here in 30min or less the tip goes down (unless it's like Super Bowl Sunday or like a Friday at 6PM or some shit).

Kobe looks like someone stole his pot pie. -
No, my issue is his whining about how he is vunerable and persecuted in every thread he taints. And also his way of going about his stance and his intolerance for those that don't agree with his lifestyle but yet wanting to force them to accept him. I've said repeatedly in this thread and other threads that gays should concede the word marriage and instead fight for civil unions so that the benefits are there. I think any "partnership" should be able to have those rights. I don't agree with the party that will harp and bring further harm to their stance by pushing away reasonable people who would probably be perfectly fine with civil unions but disagree with the word marriage being applied to homosexuals due to moral and/or religious reasons.

I never said that laws should be made to allow people to commit hate crimes. Please show me where I did. I don't think the goverment should try and promote segragation in any private organization. Let the morons that want to see their business possibly go under by not hiring the smartest person because of their color/sex. It's totally within their right as the business owner. Public organizations yes like I stated, but not private. So people hating someone makes America an unjust country eh? Again. As long as someone is not causing violence or harrasing someone in a way to make their life unliveable then it's fine. If Joe Bob wants to sit on his porch and curse the day that black people came to this land then fine. He's not doing any harm. Those though that drag a black man from a truck until he's dead because of his color need to be executed as it's murder no matter the color and color is a poor reason to murder a man. I'm amazed at how you have come conclusions of what my views are when I have never stated them. Learn to read Eric. Please. Or go and drive a hybrid or something.

I think there should be gay civil unions that have the benefits of marriage. But unlike Loss I don't seek to control thought.

Isn't that what they sweat?

I agree with goodhelmet. A dynasty is a consistently good team throughout at least a decade.
-
It's very simple. People are allowed to hate who they want and should be allowed to voice their opinions in whatever way they choose providing it's not violent or advocating violence. I don't think people should be able to harrass someone by following them down the street calling them names either, but if they wish to have a website saying that they believe homosexuality is a sin and is wrong then they should be allowed to do so. I personally don't care one way or another about gay people. I have no issues with homosexuality and have gay/lesbian friends. I have issues with a certain type of person that exists throughout the spectrum of this nation. The Falwell/Loss type that seek to control thought and language if there is something they don't believe/agree with. The gay/lesbian people that I hang around are more open to other people having their own opinions that are non violent and harrassing like I have set forth and understand that they have no right to force acceptance of something that people do not believe in. Edit: And no I don't ponder why Loss is more militant because I'm a racist, hate mongering bigot remember?
-
On a side note... arguing this with Loss is like arguing with a gay version of Mike as he lets no other thoughts enter his head and believes himself to be right in all instances. JOTW comes close as well in this case.
-
Like I said. You're not that far away from Falwell in wanting to regulate thought. Do not attempt to hold yourself above him until you show to me you can surpass him and tolerate those that disagree with you. *Note: I'm talking about the nonviolent ones.
-
You all say live and let live but you only wish to let certain groups do so...
-
Your kinda gay is the type that is intolerant to those that do not agree with the choices you have made and want to force acceptance. Again. I want all the benefits for gays the same as there are for straights. But let the word go for now and maybe in 10 years it will change but even if not... it's just a word. The part that causes conflict for me is that I think states should be the ones deciding this by vote of the population, but that is me. I'm glad that you are an opponent of free speech, actions and thought. Unless it's your type of thought and speech. You are that much better than the Christian Right/Southern Baptists how again? What? You continue to prove yourself less intelligent with each exchange. Again. You feel (well actually you DEMAND) that people be sympathetic to your cause. You need to take off your Gucci glasses and see that not everyone agrees with your cause/beliefs. You are the gay and possibly thinner equivalent of Falwell.

I was there on Saturday. Didn't pick up anything though.
