In the long run, neither does cable. I predict fiber going up to everyone's doorsteps. Regardless, it wouldn't be a problem for them if they came up with a non-Demand broadcast alternative. God you are dense. Cable already has fiber running right next to your house, all it takes is everyone rewiring their houses (which would be up to the owners of the house) and us bringing the line right in. That's why our system is Hybrid Fiber COAX. If you "knew" so much you would have know that. Perhaps you shouldn't comment on an industry you know nothing about.

InDemand is the PPV outfit by the way owned by the cable companies. OnDemand is Comcast's (IO is Cablevisions) VOD service. Basically if you have digital cable (this is with Comcast... can't speak for IO) you get all content free except for subscription channels (HBO, SHO, etc which if you subscribe to those premiums you get them) and OnDemand PPV. So.. if this is an OnDemand catergory on say Comcast... chances are (I would bet on it) it will be free if you have digital cable. Satellite will just probably have to jack off or go to their friends house as they will need another bird to offer VOD... so I don't know what will happen or if it will just be a channel that just airs the same 20 hours repeatedly or not.

DISH/DTV doesn't have the bandwidth. Sorry.

Anybody know of a good site that sells movie posters (not only new ones)? I've checked a few and they have been pretty hit and miss. Basically I want to get all the Mel Brooks movie posters for my place have them going along the wall framed.
