MS has never said they would not come out with a Blu Ray drive much like their HD DVD drive externally. MS was smart to not integrate and then get burned by a format war. I do agree that Blu-Ray is winning and the PS3 is an attractive Blu-Ray player considering that Sony's own standalone is greater than $599 IIRC, however, as Andrew stated the minute that one format wins (or appears to have one by being the dominant format), then prices will drop. I expect to see in the next year after it shakes out to see players around the $249-299 range for a low to mid range player.

Well, it depends. If you are SURE you want him and you don't want anyone to take him, then you offer something, even it's a low rounder.

Directv has satellite internet, its just expensive and you cant use it for gaming because of the lag times and I think at best its like 1.5 mb for $70 a month. I paid $399 for the tivo so I own the damn thing despite it being worth squat here shortly..bleh..although supposedly I'll be allowed to upgrade to their new HD DVR but I wont own it and it wont be Tivo based. $5.99 for the tivo service which is awesome consideing SA tivo service is more than twice that, $9.99 for the new "HD Access Fee" which covers all the HD channels that I can get. The satellite thats up was free. Im only paying more than you because I have an HD Tivo, and if you went and got a new Series 3 HD Tivo youd be paying $799 for the box and $12.95 a month for it..so HA. And Im sure if your cable company has their own HD DVR, youd pay at least $5.99 a month and it wouldnt be dual tuner like the HD Tivo I have. My total bill isn't even $65 even though Directv just raised rates like $2 again. I have what used to be Total Choice Plus with HD and DVR. Actually, they are around 599 shipped. And most of the DVRs are dual tuners for the cable companies as well. You knowledge fails you once again!

I use VGA on mine as that is the only way it will upscale DVDs.

I've realized Crime Time hasn't been on TV in quite awhile. Not that it is a bad thing.

I'm down to 5. HD South Park and HD Star Trek sitting on it.

Go to Walmart and buy a shotgun and a lot of shells. Make them take it from you.

What? Have you seen the movie Falling Down? Idiot. Where Michael Douglas has had enough of all those damned blacks? Yes, I have. I don't remember racist Michael Douglas in that movie.

WOO HOO! According to GameSpot, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is next week's arcade release at a cost of 800 points. Can't wait.

If she was falling down, she'd be whipping out a gun on a McD's employee complaining that the burger didn't look like the picture.

Hopefully the brand split will be ending soon after...

Gun shows? Depends on the state as it's a private person to private person deal. Rapidity? I don't think automatic weapons are really needed by the general public and they can't be manufactured for them anymore so the ones you see are ones that are pre-ban. Calbibur? There shouldn't really be a restriction as a larger calibur can be more beneficial for self defense. A .45 for example will blow a hole in someone big enough to cause a great amount of blood loss and stop that person. A 9mm can stop someone, but not all the time as it's a much smaller wound and it's possible for them to continue on adrenaline.

I just now noticed this thread.

I thought I read a couple days back that someone from Sony denied the re-design.

I am hugely in favor of gun regulation. I want there to be serial numbers and identification. NO gun shows, at all. Everyone who buys a gun should have their picture, address, etc. in the same way we do cars. Strong background checks, and no guns for convicted violent felons. On the other hand, beyond that caveat, I don't really see the need to make gun regulation any more strict that "car regulation" 1. Felons can't get guns. Legally. 2. There are background checks. When I got my handgun they had to run me both through the local and FBI databases. If I wanted a concealed weapons permit, I'd have to get my fingerprints done. 3. They have records of your address, SS#, phone number, DL, etc. Just not a picture.

http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?...mp;highlite=%2B Mine earliest was actually in the Forum Crash thread. I think the quality has gotten worse, but I think that's to do with less posting of the old guard. I think I only make around 5 posts at the most in a day now, more often it's 5 a week. I miss Marney.

Was at Walmart to pick up some car oil and noticed they have a Belkin Wireless G Game Adapter for ~$60. Model is F5D7330 ver 2000 (the white one with only one antenna). As a comparison, on Amazon it's $86. I would have posted this in the 360 thread but everyone could probably use it. Comes with a Ethernet port and can also be powered via USB (360) rather than by the AC adapter. It would also be used as a cheap bridge for your PCs. http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProd...oduct_Id=154416 Also will point out that the Linksys game adapter is around $99 as well as the MS one for the 360.

I'd say Lies following up Appetite for Destruction but I'm not sure if Lies qualifies as a sophomore album. Though Lies was good not AFD good.
