I finally got around to watching my Donnie Brasco DVD with the commentary on and must say that it is my second favorite director commentary behind Mel Brooks for SpaceBalls and Young Frankenstein. Mike Newell's commentary was really enjoyable as he went into HOW he shot the film and why he did it. He also pointed out how good Pacino was in the movie like when he was reaching up under the dash looking for a wire. I suggest you pick up the DVD for Donnie Brasco since it's only $9 at Best Buy just for the commentary alone. Not to mention how good the movie is by itself.

Derren Brown, the "psychological illusionist", is determined to press ahead tomorrow night with a game of Russian roulette using a loaded gun live - more or less - on British television. Howls of protest from anti-gun activists and senior police have failed to deter the British-born illusionist from a stunt that has proved fatal for magicians in the past. At about 9.45pm, one of three people, chosen from 12,000 volunteers to assist, will load a live bullet into a handgun and hand it to Brown at a secret location outside the UK. In the words of his publicity team, "he will then use his infamous ability to predict people's behaviour to determine which of the numbered chambers contains the bullet". He will put the gun to his head, and pull the trigger until he comes to the live chamber, when he will fire the gun at the floor. He will shoot only if he is sure he has read the assistant's mind correctly. "I will choose the person who I feel most comfortable reading and anticipating. They must have steady nerves and be the kind of person who isn't going to buckle under the pressure. After all, there is quite a lot at stake for me," he said. David Beckley, a spokesman for the Magic Circle, the magicians' union, said, personally, he would not attempt this trick. "But Derren Brown is a professional. The leader of a shock-rock band is vowing to defy threats of criminal charges, and go forward with a concert featuring the suicide of a terminally ill fan. The band, which is known for outrageous stunts, says the suicide concert will be broadcast live over the Internet. Billy Tourtelot, leader of "Hell on Earth", says the concert and suicide likely will take place Saturday night, in two undisclosed locations in St. Petersburg, Florida. He wouldn't give any more details on the venue. He says he's granting his friend his dying wish. The suicide threat led St. Petersburg to pass an ordinance banning the event, and a judge to issue an injunction against it.
