Exactly. Over 100 people and none of them can elevate Orton. Why? They wouldn't even feed HBK to him properly. I don't like Orton, but apparently WWE loves the guy. And they apparently want to get him over. But what I see them to doing with him is completely half-assed. Foley has already been beaten definitively by HHH. I doubt beating him will get Orton over, especially if they allow Foley a tag win first and Orton a solo win later. And I beginning to suspect that even the marks know that they bring in the Rock between movie roles to get the new guy over (i.e. Goldberg).

People are worried about MSG shitting all over Orton beating Foley, they'd RIOT if he beat Austin. Fine by me. Anyway, if not Austin, how about the Undertaker? We just had to see UT/Kane Part XXXVII instead? Seriously, why is the entire WWE roster so depleted that they had to hire someone major for Orton to feud with?

I'll say it again: I just think it's absolutely pathetic that they had to rehire Foley to find someone important to job to Orton. Does Austin need to be kept strong for the next time he drives around his little go kart or something?

Undertaker is winning this one. FIrst, there's the streak to keep alive. Second, he'll be re-inventing his character for WM. You don't job under these circumstances. And I don't believe it will be the last Kane vs Taker at WM. That's close to saying "one last hurrah for Hogan".

Pretty thoughtful article. The only thing I strongly disagree with is Orton being "right where he should be." Never mind the ring skills or promo ability (don't wanna get into that debate), I really don't think WWE has given me a reason to care about Orton. They have given him about half a gimmick, and generously allow him to beat on HHH's leftovers...with help. Whoopee fuck. Seriously, I think the way HHH has been booked has prevented everyone else from getting over, heel or face.

Simply put, the writing team is lazy and uncreative. That's why all heels work for the boss, and all faces work against the boss. Remember the days when they'd try to keep non-feuding heels and faces apart? That way there was still some question as to who was the baddest and strongest heel/face in the fed. I really wish they'd go back to those days.

Perhaps if it WAS their final match, I could agree with that. But it won't be. Hogan could be in a wheelchair and still insist he could be wrestling and going over people.
