I just noticed this and I can assure you that you really aren't missing anything. My thread about netflix is the most exciting thing to happen there in weeks.

FUCK Zack Malibu, FUCK Czech Republic...

The Pit still exists? I was banned there once. -
Montreal is responsible for the Arcade Fire and Wolf Parade. Shitty city. I hear they have nice strip clubs, though.

Liking hip hop is very indie these days. Has been for the past couple of years. Don't you read Pitchfork? Fishscale got a 9.0 or something.
-
I don't care if they've disbanded; royalties are nice, too. And 12 Rods are pretty bad. Sebadoh have some good songs, but I liked them more a decade ago than I do now. I don't think they've aged well at all.

I don't give a shit if you steal from some multi-million selling artist, but those indie acts I know you enjoy aren't making a living off of being on some small label and selling 30,000 copies of their record if that. They deserve your money.

"Look at my mp3 collection. I'll make you a mix."

I cannot fathom never having bought music. Kids today are awful.
-
But really, you should buy Aquemini. Trust me on this.
-
p2p Get it free here.

I just opened up soulseek, did a search on Aquemini and got countless results. I don't know what you're doing wrong.

DONT LOOK AT THE CARPET I DREW SOMETHING AWFUL ON IT
-
And you should really just buy Aquemini. One of the best albums ever, regardless of genre.

How is an album that went multi-platinum "lesser known."

Disc one of Physical Graffiti.

I didn't like Six Demon Bag the one time I listened to it, but I acknowledge that it could be a grower. This thing I'm listening to right now, Fear is on Our Side, by I Love You But I've Chosen Darkness (what an awful name!), sounds like Interpol. Which is disappointing, because the label that released it, Secretly Canadian, is usually solid.

You act like bands that share members going on tour together is unheard of.

So, yeah, I'm listening to Live at Leeds for the first time. I downloaded the two disc deluxe edition, with a (mostly) complete performance of Tommy serving as the second disc. The band sounds great here and yes, some of the performances—notably "A Quick One While He's Away"—surpass the studio originals, but there isn't enough of that to convince me that this is worth a purchase. Also, there's all the between song patter I abhor in live albums—who needs a four minute introduction to "AQOWHA," anyway? Plus, this drawn out, bluesy take on "Magic Bus" is worse than the original. Holy hell. I still can't believe "I Can See for Miles" is nowhere on here.
-
This 16-minute "My Generation" isn't so bad. It just four or five different songs strung together. The eight minute "Magic Bus" is about to come on. Yeesh, they had space for that but didn't do "I Can See for Miles." Dumb.

This is driving me nuts. Some mod needs to change that, for the sake of my sanity.

What started "fite me u poser." I think it was a pm subliminal_animal sent to a couple of people here, but I'm not sure. Also, the Cosby picture was a success because I used it to derail any awful thread before it got out of hand. It never really became cliche, since it's been out of rotation for a few years.

Classic. Don't act like it's not the greatest thing I ever brought to this board.

Oh, this was the thread that inspired Hoff to reveal his massive insecurities to me in that "creepy im" thread. I appreciate the context.
