Faulty thread.

All Hail West Texas is the only of his lo-fi solo recordings I own (the other MG album I have is Tallahassee). The songs are really good, though his voice sounds rougher, thanks to the lack of studio polish. It doesn't bother me, but it might you.
-
I like him/them, but one or two Goats albums are all you need. It's all kinda samey.

Like, what if, on my way to work tomorrow, it makes its way from the car's gas pedal, onto my shoe and then up my pants leg?

I found one of these crawling along my dashboard as I was out driving around the other day. That I wasn't disturbed by it, coupled with me being pre-occupied with not crashing or running off the road in moderate traffic, led me to just let it go about its way. I haven't seen it since, but that doesn't make not killing it any less of a mistake.

I like the handful of Stars songs I've heard, though.

This Feist is just a little too sunshine-and-lollipops for my liking.
-
That 311 thread. I haven't opened it, but how can anyone over the age of 16 like that band.
-
But yeah, the Constantines. I like them a whole bunch. Their first two albums are stellar, and they put on a good live show.
-
It was TheManErnieRowie. What a freaky dude.

I once posted this, which resulted in a really creepy pm from that one psycho that used to post here.
-
I haven't heard any Feist, but there's a lot of her on soulseek, so I am pirating. I'm familiar with Swollen Members, but their name + everything I've read about them would indicate me hating them.
-
Say, the Constantines are a really good Canadian band.

I only ever heard anything by K-os because his first album being heavily pushed to college radio, back when I was my station's hip hop director. He never took off on this side of the border, not even with the "alt-rap" crowd. In BSS-related news, I downloaded Beehives last night. It not being a "proper" album doesn't excuse its useless for anything other than a sleeping aid. That said, I did like the song "Backyards," though it was dragged out to twice its necessary running time.

I was talking about his fucking granola-ass music, you dolt. The "Geto Boy" comment wouldn't have gone over your head if you knew anything about hip hop prior to the 21st century.
-
That's precisely what I was doing. Congratulations.
-
K-os makes Wyclef look like a Geto Boy.

Work on your reading comprehension skills, C-Bacon.
-
Where did he say any of that? Pull your head out of your ass.

I don't doubt BSS likes all the people they work with, but it doesn't change the fact that every guest listed for this album bites. A lot can be said about the company you choose to keep, which only makes me fear that the new album won't be very good and that You Forgot It In People was a fluke. I hope I'm proven wrong, but I'm not keeping my hopes high.
-
Every act Banky mentioned, save BSS, is pretty not good, so I don't know.

America! I've had enough of your shit.

The redone Bowie tunes were the best thing about The Life Aquatic.
-
K-os appearing guarantees at least one turd on the album.

Some of you are just naming songs from movies. And the #1 is obv. the piano outro to "Layla," in GoodFellas.
