Belle and Sebastian. After their fine first two LPs, they released The Boy With the Arab Strap and Fold Your Hands..., both of which were sterling examples of mediocrity. Though they were still putting out fine EPs during this era (ref. disc 2 of the Push Barman to Open Old Wounds comp), it seemed hopeless that they'd ever put out a good full length again. Then came Dear Catastrophe Waitress.

Speaking of typos, I sent a message to this girl on myspace earlier this evening. A section of my profile is slightly grammar nazi-ish; too bad I misspelled "comically" in the subject line of the message. Ain't I embarassed!

Much as the guy's a skagged up tosser, and Gemstones is a diabolical album, I absolutely love Freinds Of Mine. It's easily in my top 5 albums of all time. I'll probably see Marilyn Manson instead though. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Manson would be on the list, too, but I don't want to make him a martyr.

Now here's a thread in which Weezer belongs.

And people bashing a good album while praising Alice in Chains lets me know that this person can be safely ignored on anything related to music.

Quoting the lyrics to a song doesn't make a very sound argument against a band's worth.

I tried starting some shit with The Czech Republic not too long ago, but it only resulted in some whiny vaginas going on about how mean I am. People don't want flamewars here, Sandman. This thread is just as pointless and an ill-attempt at showboating that I'm often accused of perpetrating. Except I would never start a thread like this because I know no one here can possibly succeed. (And, once again, I've never disliked TCR. He's an okay kid.)
