A gimmick created by Agent of Oblivion

But yeah, this thread was about Incanetic, who turned 22 this past Sunday. So did Kinetic, but that's not what's really important. -

The birthday was yesterday, so this thread is past its expiration date. -
Motherfucker, the Delgados broke up. 2005 is a terrible year for music.

I keep meaning to check out School of the Flower. Also, I just remembered to add Doves' Some Cities.

Just them alone? I've heard Oldham's kinda dull when playing solo (or with one other person), but he's definitely worth checking out if he has a full band in tow. I saw him June of last year; Sweeney was a part of his backing band. On stage, both he and Oldham took a very big hit off a joint this dude from the crowd passed up.

I saw Lyrics Born the other night. Dude knows how to work the crowd; his backing band were no slouches, either. The band was a surprise, as I assumed LB was touring with just a dj.

This thread is reserved for albums that are widely considered classics, so anyone mentioning something by Korn or their ilk will be ignored and very likely laughed at. With that in mind: The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds MC5 - Kick Out the Jams

What do you look like... (Pages 1 2 3 ...73 )

Here I am, looking seductive: Sorry, ladies. I'm taken. -
Pixies' "Monkey Gone to Heaven" is lousy, too. So's the video for "Here Comes Your Man."
-
Your reply to his "You sure talk a lot for someone I just shut up" was "Do you know who I am?" which was the equivalent of choking back tears, flailing your arms and whining, "no, you shut up!"

Your interpretation of history is unique.

In other news, my female housemate has "Girlfriend In a Coma" as her cell's ringtone. My male housemate is using "London Calling," where I, after spending the last six months switching between "Radio Free Europe" and "Ignition (Remix)," am using "Lola."

What if the Smiths totally shitcanned the second half of Strangeways, Here We Come (save "Paint a Vulgar Picture")? That would've been an awesome EP.

I miss subby. He's never on AIM anymore.
-
It was. subby got a little sloppy towards the end of Banders' run; certain Banders posts were indistinguishable from subliminal_animal posts, but I only recall like one person calling him on it.
-
Yeah, but it was neither me nor Agent, which most people seemed to think. Plus, that he was so clearly a gimmick yet effectively pissed off so many people is what made him so great.
-
It was part of Banders' schtick. Banders was a gimmick, though. I think only a few people know the real story.
-
Or Banders. He was pretty fucking good.
-
He knew what he was doing when he made all those mixer threads; probably the most successful board provocateur since Banky's prime.
-
Plus, I was drunk and high while playing what was probably my sixth or seventh game of chess ever.

I would've put the Decemberists alongside TVOTR, but man, I can't get into Picaresque outside of a few songs.
