Yesterday, she told me that were I to meet her dad, I'd have to lie about my age, as he wouldn't approve of her dating someone six years her senior. She proceeded to make a number of old man jokes I'm sure Rigel would find hilarious.

Just bad. From her meager music collection, she appears to only like one band I do (Interpol, wouldn't ya know). She's 19, almost 20, but I don't think she's really been following music for very long. Oh, she likes Blondie a whole lot, too, which is "cool," I guess, but honestly, what do I care about Blondie.

There are other things I like about her that make the relationship enjoyable.

She probably has the best taste of any girl I ever dated, but she still likes a lot of crap. It's funny to hear her make fun of Tori Amos when she has no shame in loving Coldplay.

I was hanging out with an ex of mine the other day. In the car, she was listening to those guys; I'd be lying if I said I thought of you.

Last year, when Camper Van Beethoven released New Roman Times—their first album in 15 years—I wasn't very impressed with it. However, after seeing them live this past Monday (they were really, really good), I gave it another spin and found I enjoyed it a lot more than I initially did. I like when that happens.

I've since switched to Camel Turkish Royals. Keep up.
