Oh god why can't I find Stella Artois in this town

Those two + Moosehead = the only Canadian beers you can find with any ease around these parts. Moosehead's the best of the three, obv.

Comments which don't warrant a thread.

Never had Asahi Dry, but I'm familiar with and like the others you mentioned. That I can't have Stella whenever I want is most maddening, not that I can't find a beer similar to it.

Steel Reserve is an evil brew.

I drank Steel Reserve, once. For the day or two following, you couldn't convince me that it didn't give me esophageal cancer.

I have blood in my stool

This thread has generated a lot more serious posts than I would have ever expected/been capable of providing.

Minutes ago, I finally realized every beer website extant is flash, which I hate. Also, I derive a perverse pleasure from reading the labels on bottles of Molson.

Tecate and Molson are alright, but I like drinking those superfancy imports. For instance, in the first pic in that Agent/Inc meet thread, the pint in front of me contains the wonderful Spaten Optimator, with a 9% alcoholic content.

    Heineken is horrible.

This past Sunday, I took Agent to this place that had a great beer selection (not that he cared ) and they don't carry it.

    I enjoyed this post.

Name the most average band you've ever heard

"Irish Blood, English Heart" is one of the two good songs on it, incidentally. Czech, have you checked out Your Arsenal? Easily Moz's best solo album—I like it more than I do a couple of the Smiths' proper albums, even. It's the most "rock" thing he's done; "IBEH" wouldn't have sounded out of place on it, even if it would've been that album's worst song.

Name the most average band you've ever heard

It's called "America is Not the World" and it pretty much confirms every charge of pomposity and accusation of self-parody ever lobbed at Morrissey. There's only two good songs on the most recent album; neither are very essential.

As much as I like glam rock, I can't get into Sparks at all. Don't hate me, PLAGIARISM!

Your "band to watch in 2005"

The Futureheads have a fairly good grasp on what came before them; they aren't original, sure, but they do what they do well without sounding too much like any one band from the late 70s (granted, XTC is the biggest reference point, what with the slight vocal similarities). Bloc Party sounds like what a bunch of kids who totally got their minds blown by Turn On the Bright Lights would sound if they formed a band.* *Even if that isn't the case—even if they are well-versed in music history and own every Wire seven-inch from 77-79 and an original vinyl pressing of the Pop Group's Y—nothing on Silent Alarm convinces me otherwise.

Your "band to watch in 2005"

Based on one listen to Silent Alarm, Bloc Party does very little to set themselves apart from the 30-or-so bands that have the same sound. "Positive Tension" manages to be above-average (and "Luno" is decent, too), but mostly there's no difference between this band and FranzFerdinandTheKillersHotHotHeat ad infinitum. Hell, if Paul Banks faked a British accent, there'd be no telling apart Interpol and the Bloc Party song "Plans."

INCANDENZA AND AGENT OF OBLIVION MEET

I didn't puke, but my stomach was in knots for an hour or so afterwards.

INCANDENZA AND AGENT OF OBLIVION MEET

Agent, did I tell the story of the time I took a drink from a glass that contained a cigarette BUTT.

    Happy birthday, Agent of Oblivion.

I have his phone number, so maybe I should call him and wish him a birthday greeting over the phone.

Your "band to watch in 2005"

I'm downloading this now, though the only "new" band from the past year that I remotely gave a flip about was the Futureheads.

EMO music: love it, hate it?

I was. I shared an account with three other people; I didn't like the site very much. Granted, most of the women on there aren't my type, but even if they were, many of the layouts were overly arty or just plain dumb (I recall one featuring a girl straddling an arcade machine). Very little of the site overall was erotic. I only got the book because the girl who gave it to me thought it would be funny.

Should I take pictures of some pages from that Suicide Girls book my female roomie gave me? You can see some naked emo girls.
