The other day, bored, I turned on AIM on my phone for the first time. I quicky flipped it off, but now I have that stupid Mobile Device list on my buddylist. It's nice to know, however, that Edwin, godthedog, Flyboy and EricMM all have, at one point, used this horrible feature.

This is true, but that's what I was listening to, and there's no real way to connect Will Oldham to Ashanti. When I saw him back in June, Oldham and his band did a fairly straight cover of "Ignition" (not the remix, though), so he does like him some mainstream R&B.

I don't understand how anyone here is cliquish. Maybe Matt Young explained why in one of those ridiculously long posts that I didn't read, but it just so happens that a select few of us really enjoy talking with each other and like making threads which aren't very inviting to those people who aren't us. I got sick of making this point on this board a couple of years ago, but musical talent has more to do with writing a good song than technical expertise at an instrument. I pity people, like "ken adams," who are so closed-minded in his tastes that he can only enjoy rock music with wanky guitar solos.
