That's me, more or less. I haven't knowingly heard any Amy Winehouse, for instance.

Not quite. I provided a phony youtube prompt in a thread about embedding youtube videos. Mine was Next Level. -

I wonder who deleted my rickroll in the "Embedding YouTube videos directly" thread in Site Feedback. I'm satisfied that at least a couple of people were rooked. -
Yeah, I was just trying to make you feel better, Czech. ur fucked

I don't think you have anything to worry about.

I was booted for inactivity earlier this year, so I can't say it's that big of a loss.

His tone goes along away as to why I can't fully get into him. Which is a shame, since I can understand and recognize that a lot of his music makes use of complex chord structures and polyrhythmic elements; it's not exactly as if he's the Rippingtons.

I've long assumed this guy was smooth jazz cheese, but I've read enough about him to think he might be more than that; plus, some real cool track credited to him came up on the online jazz radio station I was listening to at work the other day—unfortunately, I can't recall the name of the song, but it sounded a lot like Miles Davis's early fusion stuff (think In a Silent Way). Does he have good albums? I'm currently downloading Bright Size Life, which also features Jaco Pastorius, which might give Agent of Oblivion a halfie, but makes me wary. fake edit: I don't expect much from this thread, but I figured I'd make it, anyway.

Aw, someone removed it!

You know, that Kenny G dis is lame. The effect of the harsh language is lessened when put up against some fanboyish fawning regarding Armstrong. And, as much of a hack G may be, Metheny has perpetrated his fair share of velveeta bullshit: That song was, by the way, my only exposure to Metheny for the longest time, thus why I'd written the guy off as contemporary jazz twaddle.

He must be some sort of jackass to play that. Hey, this Bright Size Life is kinda nice. Very mellow, but not lousy Local on the 8's-type shit.

Mike Nelson didn't have Joel Hodgson's courtesy to disappear from the public eye post-MST3k.

This is all I care about.

Wait, is that the Cracked? As in Mad-knock-offs Cracked?

I mentioned it in another thread, but yeah, it's really, really good.

Once, a few years back, I was posting on this board at the university library. A girl who was sitting next to me happened to look over, saw all the delightful emoticons this board had to offer (this is back when all available emoticons were displayed in a box on the lefthand side, not just a small selection of them) and asked what website I was on. I panicked and said I didn't know. She didn't believe me. -
I like that Frog Eyes cover Czech posted up there, but I can understand that its not to everyone's taste. I also really like the album itself, which I can also understand to not be to everyone's taste.

I think he was a high school teacher and, allegedly, fat. It isn't impossible he was taking grad courses simultaneous to teaching high school. But I'm pretty sure he was very fat.

A couple of years ago, I mentioned on here a trip I was taking up to Athens. One or two people offered me money to take out Coey while I was there.
-
Seriously, though, how'd anyone get intimidated by him? He would actually attempt to talk down to people by quoting Triumph the Insult Dog Comic. His bullshit was easy to see through and call on. If you did—and I would—his only comeback involved something along the lines of "I don't like you and I hope you die." The dude was a total pansy.

Coey was known to live in Athens, Georgia.
