Well I'll be damned! He DOES exist!
Giuseppe Zangara replied to The Czech Republic's topic in No Holds Barred
Right back at ya. But you suck. For trying to give publicity to my cousin's band? I bet they fucking suck. I believe the demos are there for you to judge for yourself. No, my intuition says that they are really bad. Given that every member of said band cites Something Corporate as an influence, this is very likely true. -
Would I be like Eagan to say that Waldo is Eagan?

Sonic Youth's Daydream Nation deserves any praise thrown at it--a gorgeous, maddening experience that earns every bit of 70 minute running time, not only was it the pinnacle of SY's career, I can't think of many records released by any band since that I'd hold in the same regard as that album. I always thought Talking Heads' Remain in Light overrated--Fear of Music is the place to start with this band--but I respect it, and understand why so many people love it. It's too cold and distant for me, though.

The first two paragraphs of YPV's post read as if he's confusing the Cure and the Smiths. Anyway, XTC is fucking great. English Settlement is one of my favorite albums by any band, ever, and Drums and Wires and Black Sea are godly.

On second thought, this is the thread that brought the "feud" to the fore, and it's much shorter. And more entertaining. -

I just saw that TSM has a boarder named Metallica. That name is so much worse than most of the awful, awful names people select.

For some reason, I like this. Don't act coy.

Every city in Florida which I've been in has Checkers, except for the one I live, which has Rallys. Whatever it's called, I can't stand it, though my stomach's been having trouble handling most fast food for a couple of years now.

The Kinks: "Victoria." With the possible exception of "A Day in the Life," I prefer this song to anything the Beatles did. XTC: "Respectable Street" or "Senses Working Overtime." Wire: "Ex Lion Tamer," though just about anything on thier first three albums will do. There are numerous bands I'd include over what you've mentioned, but I'm not making the mix here.

I saw this really fat beast of a woman today. As if her fraying pink sweatpants and greasy hair pulled back in a ratty ponytail weren't horrifying enough, her shirt sent me over the edge. First, it was too damn small, causing her enormous gut to stick out in a most rude manner; secondly, her shirt read MY FACE IS UP HERE, with an arrow pointing to her face, lest you were confused, or you didn't actually want to look at her bulbous belly and fat, sagging tits. That brings me to why I'm so infuriated/disgusted. The idea of that shirt is that the wearer acknowledges that she is well-endowed in the boob dept., and that men would more likely stare at them than in her face. The shirt is stupid enough, so it doesn't need this woman donning it. Why would I want to look at her flapjack tits, anyway? They were like somebody took a couple of garbage bags and filled them with raw meat! I don't want to see that! No one does! Fuck.

The Unofficial Nominate a thread for as a "Classic
Giuseppe Zangara replied to a topic in Site Feedback
Owning me. Like most "classic" threads, it flames out after the first five-or-so pages, but a lot of people still seem to enjoy it. And my name is in the title.
