All of this is so, so...damning in the court of law. Once it is parsed what "Blindian" means. -

You linked the same page twice. And "bodt." Anyway: -
I used to think Antics was good; that changed a few weeks back when I listened to it for the first time in who knows how long. Now I can only tolerate "Evil" and "Slow Hands," but hey, those are pretty good songs.

Alternate thread title: John Popper popped.

A new Neurosis song: http://www.neurotrecordings.com/artists/ne...IsNotEnough.mp3 I don't much like the direction Scott Kelly's voice has been going in.

I used to live downstairs from a couple who listened to nothing but Tool and Fleetwood Mac. Nothing else.

Are they still working the ambiguous sexuality shtick with Fez? Keep in mind I haven't listened to these people since they were based out of Florida ten years ago.

I'm a nice guy, now!

A lot of people never forgave me for that period of time when I lorded my alleged superiority over everyone whenever I got the chance. Gene was always more humble than I.
-
I remember when they used to be only in Florida. It was called the Ron & Ron Show then; Fez was there, but as a sidekick.

I'm probably worse if you think about it. I've done some pretty fucked up stuff to people on here. I'm more misogynistic, plus I cost Ripper an entire day's work by posting an unwarned link to some godawful filthy pornography that replicated popups like e-coli. More will come to me. Edit 1: I called everyone's children runny-nosed brats in the Current Events folder. Yet, you're still more popular!

I'd vote for you, but my fragile ego has been shattered by the merciless onslaught of Bobby Peru, so I can't even think straight enough to copy and paste all the brackets and put in bold font which I want to win.

Assuming I make it that far, there's no way I'm getting past Agent of Oblivion. He's always been more well-liked, even if he's as much an obnoxious asshole as I am.

Speaking of 2007 in Indie, I really like the new !!!, Myth Takes. Never cared much for them before, so I guess I'll have to reinvestigate their previous output now.
-
I like "Hunting for Witches," but that's about it. The keyboard-heavy instrumentation on the new one doesn't suit them well; of course, I didn't think the more guitar-heavy approach on the debut did great things from them, either, but hey, that one, for all its faults, had hooks. Not so much this one.

No go on the Robbins, but I haven't made a decision as to what I'm going to read after I finish/give up this Bellow, so we'll see.
-
The second and third times I tried with White Noise were due to being assigned other Delillo books for class, Mao II and Libra. I liked both quite a bit, but I couldn't get into White Noise at all. Too snide and oh so clever.

Go to bed, Bobby Peru.

I wasn't even aware you could send messages to people who weren't signed in. Shows what I know!

He im'ed me while I was offline to tell me how exciting the brackets made the whole thing. I'm sure he's mentioned that to you already, but, if not, know that you are loved.

I feel confident in saying Gaddis can fuck off.

Query: How often do the regulars of this thread feel compelled to finish reading a book? Particularly, one that is your introduction to a canonized author. While not bad by any means, Saul Bellow's Herzog isn't moving me any. I'm about a hundred pages in with a little under three hundred to go; I'm considering quitting, but I always feel a little disappointed with myself when I don't finish a book. (The only exception here is if said book is outrageously bad. Herzog isn't, but reading it is starting to feel like a chore.) If I do stop, I'll try again later. Trying another time won't necessarily prove more fruitful—I have, on three separate occasions, began but not finished Delillo's White Noise (though I have enjoyed other of his books I've read)—but you never know.
