    adminbot is out of control

Hey, someone deleted my thread in Site Feedback. Bob Barron, work up some moral outrage, get in there and start a thread about it.

At least he was able to smile about it.

    King Crimson: The Thread

http://www.adrianbelew.net/adrianupdates.h...ay%2027,%202005 Granted, this is over a year old, but Belew went on record saying there'd be another Crimson album, with Tony Levin back in the fold. If I go see him next month, I'll be sure to ask him if that's still the case. edit: looks like directly linking to the entry didn't work, but all you have to do is scroll down a little to see it.

    A MikeSC

Jason came a month or so after. Agent of Oblivion told me, in person, that Jason was subby. Which was a little disappointing.

    King Crimson: The Thread

I'm interested in checking out this: Also, that Daryl Hall solo album mentioned therein sounds like something I need to hear.

    Where to start with Dorf?

Too many hits at the video store, and I can only afford one 99 cent rental.

    Lyrics Born

When I saw him live, he had a live band with him. Good times.

    Favorite Bob Dylan album.

"Joey" is one of the worst Dylan songs ever.

    King Crimson: The Thread

How much mellotron? Because it wasn't until I first heard ITCOTCK that I realized I had a tolerance level for the instrument.

    Favorite Bob Dylan album.

Robertson isn't entirely at fault here; it's not as if Dylan had no control over this being released. Anyway, the songs are mostly kinda of blah. Yes, it sounds like they all had one of hell of a time recording it, but that doesn't translate well when listening to it. And the songs here that were later recorded by other acts (like the Band and the Byrds) were done better by those other acts.

Hey, we never talk about how The Basement Tapes. Mainly, about how boring it is. Oh, yes, I went there.

    King Crimson: The Thread

Just the debut. Which is good, but yeah, as you've said, that's a lot of mellotron.

    Book recommendations

I didn't read The Catcher in the Rye until college. I was completely underwhelmed.

    King Crimson: The Thread

I don't mind John Wetton as much as I once did. He's still the weakest link (for his voice, not his bass) from that era of Crimson, but I find myself having little trouble getting through the stretch of vocal tracks on LTIA as I would have a few months ago.

    Favorite Bob Dylan album.

An interesting mess, but a mess nonetheless.

    Massive Attack tour

Yep, she was a sometimes-vocalist for her 4AD labelmates This Mortal Coil, a group that did mostly covers, including a few by Tim.

    Massive Attack tour

Andy and Fraser are nearly 100-years-old between them. Also, Elizabeth Fraser used to fuck Jeff Buckley. Be sure to shout out requests for "Last Goodbye."

    favorite bob dylan song

It's not a bad song—a goofy, if overlong, lark, it is—but it can't be any actual Dylan fan's favorite.

    Often mistaken song titles

Granted, I haven't had much truck with Jane's Addiction in years, but he should've been smart enough to know their best song is either "Three Days" or "Summertime Rolls."
