  1. I'm sure all the pirate-themed Lego sets have their share of sinister looking men.
  2. We need a little rimshot smiley. Ah well. :rimshot:
  3. I need a drink.
  4. No, amazingly enough. I've heard just about all the Sublime I could ever stand, however.
  5. Ironicandenza Should I just kill myself now?
  6. Perhaps the death of Ironicandenza is in order. How about an Incandenza who only contributes to serious discussions?
  7. Black Lushus, I wouldn't compare Sublime to Sugar Ray and 311, either. Even if the results were dull/juvenile/etc., Nowell always seemed more concerned with the songwriting craft than those guys. And I don't see how Sublime can possibly have the longevity of other established artists, but here we are, eight years after Nowell's death, and people still talk about his band. If anyone in 311 offed themselves back then, I can guarantee they'd long been forgotten.
  8. Been there, done that. I already know what it's like to be ripped off by others.
  9. "Why Don't We Get Drunk" =/= "Date Rape"
  10. Shit. Now what do I do?
  11. What is that like? Makes you feel like a big man, I imagine.
  12. Nowell is not quite the godhead Cobain is, true, but he's held in almost as high regard in enough circles as Cobain. But, as I said, I can understand with Cobain. I'm not even a Nirvana fan, but I can see that they changed the face and direction of popular music, wrote angsty and alienated songs about angst and alienation (which, in turn, spoke to the teenagers then and will continue to speak to teenagers for generations to come), etc. etc. etc. Sumblime, on the other hand...I don't get it. I'm asking for the Sublime fans to answer. EDIT: This would probably make a decent thread on its own, but I've come this far, so why bother.
  13. Having the biggest post count possible has left me feeling empty. What is there for me to accomplish?
  14. Somone explain the canonization of Bradley Nowell. The guy has become just as revered as Kurt Cobain in my generation, but at least I can understand the icon status attained by the latter.
  15. "Seperate Ways" is better than "Any Way You Want It," though.
  16. I figured it was a tribute to CWM's less-than-perfect grammar. But woe is me! My Friendster pal battles my Canadian compadre, and I am left in the middle! Gentlemen, can't we make not ? Lately, I've been stalked by Filipina women on Friendster. It's slightly unsettling, but I like the attention.
  17. I just noticed DerangedHermit posted in this thread. He reminds me of a bitter ex-girlfriend.
  18. These tears I shed are ones of joy, friend.
  19. I recovered well enough, thank you.
  20. Excellent! This is progress. Now let's co-exist as peacefully as two-people-on-a-message-board-who-do-not-care-for-each-other-very-much-but-not-in-the-the-way-where-you-would-wish-death-on-the-other-person can possibly co-exist.
  21. Oh, cwm. Why is it than you can talk to other people on AIM about not liking me but not talk about it to me? I know how seriously you take the board, so I figured this would be "the best way" to resolve your problem.
  22. Let's not dodge the question.
  23. You're gonna have to be a bit more specific than that. Let's get to the bottom of all this hullabaloo.
  24. He'll so be moving back in with mom and dad by the end of the year.
  25. This is an intervention, CWM. I know you've been down in the mouth over my repeatedly calling you out for all your self-righteous tantrums and pedantic snits, but I only wanted to help. Why won't you let me in, cobainwasmurdered? Why won't you let me in?
