Pit Pat! Take it from me, IIIII love you.

Now, bring on The Departed this Friday.

I'd just like to add that Apple's new Mighty Mouse is amazing. Bluetooth powered and thus wire- and USB sensor-free, left and right clicks, a 360 scroll, and two buttons on the sides that let you do the neat "show all open windows" effect. Worth the money, especially since I'd never used a trackpad before I got my Macbook Pro.

PT Anderson's films: 1. Magnolia 2. Boogie Nights 3. Punch-Drunk Love 4. Hard Eight/Sydney Of course, I love all four, and Magnolia and Boogie Nights could probably shift at any time depending on when I watch them again. I can't wait till There Will Be Blood comes out, whenever it does. Daniel Day-Lewis and PT Anderson in an Upton Sinclair adaptation. Bring it.

Last night reminded me: We've had "Mambo No. 5" and "My Humps." What's Michael's next ringtone? I'm hoping for "Hips Don't Lie" or "Buttons."

Oh, I don't really write anymore. It'll be fun for her.

Has anyone else seen Robert Altman's Short Cuts? Considering Magnolia is one of my favorite movies, the comparisons were inevitable. Some are obvious, like the large ensemble cast interacting with each other in a relatively short time frame, recurring themes drawing the characters together, and the "freak occurrence" endings. Still, Altman's took a bit longer for me to get into, and featured characters that were slightly more unlikeable (which isn't a bad thing necessarily; they were actually more realistic). But there wasn't a character I really wanted to cheer for, like John C. Reilly in Magnolia. Anyway, both films are definitely recommended on all accounts, even if PT Anderson's feels awfully self-indulgent at times. This was my first Altman film. How do his others compare to this one?

Tietam Brown is just a series of the main character's horrible and emotionally-scarring events one after another. If you really want to read that, just save time and check out that Marvinisalunatic thread. The only difference is that Marvin wasn't molested by his KKK-member adopted father. I don't think.

Yeah, listening to Twin Cinema straight through tends to get repetitive. I like their songs more when they just come up on shuffle.

Yeah, I hope these Joe-centric episodes lead to something big. Maybe at the next set of tapings have an official match, Joe vs. Abyss, where if Joe wins he fights for the title at BFG. He could even win through interference if they want to continue the Runt/Raven/Abyss stuff.

It's a Dwight Schrute takeover!

Luckily it seems to taper off in college, where people concern themselves more with facebook (as privacy-invasive as it might be now). In high school friendships would end because "You moved me from fourth down to fifth on your top eight!"

Why did any members of the Wu ever want to collaborate with that dumbass. Stick it up your YEAH!

I've really enjoyed the new season so far. The sexual harassment episode last week was one of my favorites, and tonight's Office Olympics were roflcopter worthy. "Nobody likes beets, Dwight! You should grow something everybody likes. You should grow candy." "There's a rule when buying a house that you shouldn't be the most attractive person there. Because then you have nowhere to go but down." "Can you send me that clip of the monkeys having sex? I'm going to forward it...like it's hot. Keepin' it old school."

Someone probably speculated based on his mentioning TNA in the Ross Report. Shame it's probably not a Monday night slot though.

Most disappointing matches you've seen

Jericho vs. Austin, No Way Out 2002 Did not click whatsoever, dead crowd, horrible nwo run-in finish. Oh, and about 4,325 chops. -
Hey Edwin, I wanted to streak on 9/11 but there were all these pesky flags planted in front of Cabell Hall. Fucking patriotism.
-
Wait, that dude is in college?
-
I loved how proud Michael looked when he added "or...what he said."

It's like the writers knew they'd have to fill the void of AD leaving, so they upped the quality even more. That episode was tremendous. "Queer as Fuck" was my favorite.
-
Was that the realtor from Arrested Development?
-
I hope Jerichoholic82 and ChrisMWaters take the next dives.

When is the Gervais-written episode supposed to air?

So psyched! But if Jim goes to Connecticut, more than anything I'm going to miss his interaction with Dwight, let alone Pamalamadingdong. They'll find a way.
