My comments on the tag: As I said in the card thread, it was extremely close. Both were great matches, and to tell you the truth, if we just graded by the wrestling content, Zyon and Manson might've gotten the win. But JJ's, in addition to great wrestling, had excellent characterization. He got down the announcers' struggle with the family-friendliness moreso than Zyon and Manson, and the stuff with the crowd and the characterization of the wrestlers themselves was really great. Hats off to both teams.

Match sent. Damn you, JJ and Pretzler and Zyon and Manson for writing such good and close matches that it took forever and a day to decide. Please continue! -

"Alphabet St." is fabulous. I've even come to embrace the rap in the middle.

SWF LOCKDOWN CARD - 7.20.05!

Verbose descriptions edited in for ELM/WC and Toxxic/Robot, so the card is now complete. Feel free to yell at me for misspelling an impotrant word or forgetting a clause essential to the development of your character. -

Johnny is correct! Shame on me for not checking my PM's while putting the show up. I should know better. I deeply apologize. -

Ok, everyone bite my head off at once. First of all, I had nothing to do with the making of this card. Tom's modem exploded, Raynor's exploded but I'm pretty sure he's back and well, and Mike's on vacation. He sent this to me earlier today to post. Johnny, you said you would be late for a promo. Nothing about leaving a post open to edit in later. Stop hatin'. -
Storm's on its way, folks. I had to stay later than anticipated at work. I'm putting stuff together.

I'm not really sure why Jeffrey Tambor got nominated for best supporting when Arnett was clearly the star of the show this season. But hey, go Arrested.

Lawrence of Arabia. 1966?

Not bad, not bad at all. It's a long album, 23 tracks and about 75 minutes. The initial stretch of the album is my favorite part, with "Fuck the Ying Yang Twins", "Long Time" (with Anthony Hamilton), "Live Again" (with Adam Levine), and "Ghetto Classics", a weird but good statement on blacks in the military. But overall it's solid, and fun to listen to throughout. Thoughts?

So, I dug up my Wallflowers CD today, Bringing Down the Horse. It held up surprisingly well, and I'm enjoying the hell out of it. It's a shame they were a 1.5-hit wonder (in addition to "One Headlight", I'm pretty sure "6th Avenue Heartache" got a bit of play time, but wasn't too popular). It's really good, though.
