The One and Only Angel Season 5 Thread

... the summary for the finale is posted, if you're really interested. Let me just say 'wow'. -
Pulp Fiction - What can be said about this that hasn't been said? 10/10 Reservior Dogs - Great movie, but the ending left me wanting more. Of course, it'd be kinda hard to do anymore, but you know what I mean. The standoff scene at the end was just awesome. 9.5/10

Oooooh...I love it. Love it! This is a great idea for a promo, mixing kayfabe and behind the scenes stuff. Nice job.

Yeah, Ryan did work for Angel. In fact, he's the one that recruited Sarah Fain and Liz Craft for The Shield next season. -
Well, the last part *was* pretty damn predictable, but it was done well.

Wow. That was a great, surreal episode. Seeing Illyria kill everyone? Crazy, especially seeing Spike dusted; that gave me chills. Anyway, the last scene is really setting up for something. Shades of Angelus? "We're serving our clients"...I see something big coming out of that. And next week? Vespas! Italy! Andrew! Buffy Who Won't Actually Be in the Episode! Time Bomb gets a B+ -

Marsters looks like Justin Timberlake. -
Are you kidding? I have my main event for Anglemania IV written. It's Damaramu vs. Mad Matt © vs. Schaeffer (w/Mexican Cowboy) for the World Title in a "two of these don't belong" match. You'd be surprised at the result.

I, too, question the decision to have Liston win the HCG title. Give 'im hell, Mike. Oh, good promo, too. -
SWF Favorite Writer(s): Flesher, Edwin, MVS, Kibs, Z Favorite Promo(s): In the Fade, The Luvin' Spoonful, Chrissy Stardust Favorite Match(es): Flesher vs. ELM, Ultimate Submissions. Edwin vs. Raynor, G3. TNT vs. ELM, From the Fire. And to toot my respective horn, American Gladiators. Favorite Stip to Write: Two words: American Gladiators. Like Mike said, that's the most fun I've ever had writing a match. Also, the Clusterfuck was pretty fun despite the enormous word count, and I enjoyed the Two Straight Falls stip. My Biggest Accomplishment: Clusterfuck and subsequent World Title victories (despite the fact that the latter was a no-show victory) I Regret That: I burned out and left the Double Jeopardy angle high and dry. I Wish: I'll get back to you on that. Dream Matches Involving Yourself: Double Jeopardy vs. Justice and Rule; vs. Flesher, and vs. Judge again, because I've improved since our last encounter and I think our styles would go well together. Dream Matches: Flesher vs. MacPhisto. Make it happen. I've Become Most Friendly With: Mike, Tom, Z. Hell, I like all of you. Well, most of you. I Hope: Fed flourishes. Yep. Personal Name (First name works, last name if you don't care): Matt Single: Yessir Have Most Trouble: doing things early Favorite Things to Do: write, read, swim, watch Angel, hang out...yeah, the simple stuff. Most Recent Accomplishment: Being 3rd in the sophomore class Most Recent Failure: Doing poorly on a history exam (damn you, lack of essays!) Favorite Bands: Led Zeppelin, Prince, AC/DC, The Flaming Lips, Electric Six~, Dream Theater Favorite Book: To Kill a Mockingbird Favorite Movie: Angel (what, that doesn't count? uhh...), Pulp Fiction, Schindler's List Favorite Actor: Alexis Denisof One Song to Listen to On Repeat: "Brick House 2003" by Rob Zombie, Lionel Ritchie, and Trina. Oooooh yes. One Item You'd Save During A Fire: Apryl Something You Want to Get Into To: Screenwriting. Yeah, I've started, but haven't actually gotten anything completed. Biggest Regret/Mistake: Can't think of one off the top of my head. Biggest Turn On: Personality Biggest Turn Off: Those goddamn Southern Heritage shirts. If You Died and Went To Heaven, What Do You Want God to Say: "Damn, that is a nice suit." How About Going to Hell, Devil says: "Your cellmate is a furry." ...oh, what we would WANT him to say? Uh, nevermind.

Happy Birthday, Aecas!

Whoa Duran, great match! That's all I 've read so far, but since I'm officially inactive (let's hear it for the AP exam!), I'm sure I'll have time to check out the whole thing this week.
-
The tag match, obviously.
-
Well, my match is in at 8k. Really, I think it's close to impossible to do much more than that with two hosses in a match with no stipulations. I'm happy with what I came up with, but Duran's match should be just as good. I'm anxious to see the result. That, and Z will have about 40k of that tag match to read in addition to the main event. I didn't want to be too hard on him

Sorry to see you go, man. I had a lot of fun with our feud, even if I did win the blowoff by no-show. Hope to see you back here eventually (because, honestly, who DOESN'T come back?)

Mmmm, backstory.

The One and Only Angel Season 5 Thread
Hank Kingsley replied to Steve J. Rogers's topic in Brandon Truitt
By the way, I figured out why Angel & Co. didn't mourn Cordy's death in either Why We Fight or Smile Time. On whedonesque.com they have deleted scenes and notes from the shooting script of "You're Welcome", and this is how the script says the show ended: So, they kept it a surprise (like Lindsay), and since Goddard & DeKnight obviously wrote episode 13 before episode 12 aired, they didn't know about her death. Same with Ben Edlund for Smile Time. At least, that's the best reason I can think of. -

I thought I'd plug The Bronze: Beta (www.bronzebeta.com) message board, especially after last night. The discussion itself isn't anything you can't find in this thread, but the one thing it does have is VIP visits. Last night, Drew Goddard showed up. Joss Whedon has shown before. So, yes, this board is awesome in some respects. Apparently after episode 20 Drew AND Steven S. DeKnight are going to be making an appearance. It's just too awesome. -

SFOAKFOAE"KTpkd'gokadpwjatfkja;eglmndlfk;jskrlj Drew Goddard, I love you. I LOVED tonight's episode, but, well, that seems to be the trend with Angel this season. I wasn't a fan of Cyvus Vail, but seeing Sahjan again was really cool. Vincent Kartheiser...I don't know, I couldn't stand him in some of season 4, but he was great in this episode. I'm loving Adam Baldwin as Hamilton, and Illyria is a nice change of pace from Fred; I'm really enjoying her scenes, especially with Wesley (and making Spike her pet). Today's episode gets an A from me~ -
Sorry, but...what's the point? I mean, I know it's PPV, but you don't have to get that crazy. Actually, maybe I should do that. Hmm...let's see how I could describe a vertical suplex:

I've waited 2.5 months to see another Drew Goddard episode, and now we're finally getting it! All hail Ultimate Drew!
