Especially if we're going on Hulk Hogan's word about how many people can fit into Budokan... (On a Confidential, Hogan threw out a crowd figure for a show he worked at Budokan that was far more than the building's capacity.)

As long as Raven loses his hair to someone worthy and NOT Shane Douglas, I have no problem with it being on TNA instead or ROH. The suggested turn of CM Punk ending with Punk shaving Raven would be great, as Punk is good and could use the rub.

Teddy Hart looks really good but, if what I've heard about him is any indication, someone's going to have to slap some sense into him. In short, he's very full of himself and may end up making some unreasonable demands that could keep him from returning too many times. He was cut by the WWF's developmental program in 1998 because he was a complete ass. When he came to the WWE locker room some time back, Benoit and another former Stampede wrestler told him to just shut the hell up about how good he was so that he might actually get hired.
-
Dan, know anyone else in BR who's a fan? Maybe we could pool together and buy a non-ass PPV, should one ever come out of the WWE.

Stefan Lefors? Never thought I'd hear THAT name again. For a second there, I thought you were talking about his brother, who was a star quarterback for LSD (Louisiana School for the Deaf). Anyway, Stefan played for a district rival and shredded us when he started.

Just got back from LSU kicking the shit out of U. of Louisiana Monroe. The game was delayed almost an hour after a lightning storm started about 5 minutes into the game, after a failed field goal attempt by LSU. LSU won but looked like total crap for the first quarter, blowing plays they should have made, missing field goals, missing tackles, etc. They went up 21-0 by halftime and really turned it on in the third quarter before they won 49-7.

I think Jessica Darlin will as well. Adam has suggested trying to find women who weren't over and had no charisma if you wanted to try this match.

I wouldn't object to a DVD filled with Austin matches if he didn't already have like 6 DVDs (Hell Yeah, What?, Austin vs. McMahon, Austin 3:16 Uncensored, etc.) They need to release DVDs of their next tier of stars in order to help legitimize them rather than running Taker, Trips, Rock, and Austin into the ground. How about Kurt Angle for instance, as he's most assuredly a top guy? About the only way I can see them screwing it up is filling it with his matches against Undertaker.

I'd say the biggest problems with Selig's reign have been that he's an owner and, as such, it screws up the dynamic that's supposed to exist between the players, the owners, and the league. The 1994 strike can be laid at his doorstep because not even guys like Bowie Kunh or Fay Vincent would have let it wipe out the postseason. Hell, Kuhn had a strike in midseason and still put on the playoffs, although he did a screwy system in which the leaders from each half of the season met in a mini-playoff. Expansion and (threats of) contraction would surely have been handled differently as well. I think that a commissioner independant of the owners would have thought twice before introducing the Diamondbacks and the Devil Rays so soon after the Rockies and the Marlins. While the Diamondbacks tend to be a solid franchise because of good decisions, financial concerns aside, the Devil Rays have been a colossal disappointment.

There is exactly one, which will be a Best of TNA deal to get people interested in the product. This could be a very good idea for them, depending on a few things. The costs of putting together a show from old footage should be negligable because they own all of it and would only need to have an editor put it together. The real cost would be that of having a PPV slot that would not bring in any profits. If the cost of the PPV slot is decent, they might be able to make it up by increased buyrates over the next few months.

If anyone hasn't already suggested it, hire CM Punk and Colt Cabana as a face team and Trent Acid and Johnny Kashmere as a heel team. I'm having them do a Best of 9999 series like the Hardyz and Edge and Christian, which has taken them from nobodies to big stars in a short amount of time.

Why doesn't anyone know who Teddy Hart is??? He has wrestled in Calgary and in Japan. He's supposed to be a great worker. He also apperaed on the recent HBO piece on Real Sports about drugs. I believe the only reason he's not in WWE is that he's a real Dick. Jerry Lynn's job is to elevate younger talent - that should be his role in the company. He has the ability to make others better. Lynn has no business defeating Chris Sabin at this stage. Sabin is the future and clearly has "it." As Steve Corino put it, Teddy Hart's real name is Ted Annis and "Anus is right because that kid's an ass." Teddy and Babu were cut from the WWF developmental program because Teddy was a dick and Babu was all screwed up on drugs and had an attempted sexual assault one night during a camp that the Pritchards found out about.

I finally got my first ***** match. After a number of ****3/4 matches with Eddy and Chavo, I built one up and got the full monty on it. High-rated matches: Angle vs Jericho - ****1/2 Angle vs. Jericho - ****1/2 AJ Styles vs Tajiri - ****3/4 AJ Styles vs Tajiri - ****3/4 Chavo vs. Eddy - ****3/4 AJ Styles vs Tajiri - ****3/4 Eddy vs. Chavo - ****3/4 Angle vs. Jericho - ****3/4 Eddy vs. Chavo - ***** Now if only I could clear some high-priced deadwood like Austin, Bisch, and HBK (fucking non-wrestlers...), I could be making the big money.

Superdome... it's the only way I'll be able to go while I'm still at my current job (It's damn near impossible for me to get off between February and May).

Lawler vs. Ross vs. Steph vs. Shane vs. Vince vs. Linda vs. Trips in an elimination Human Torch match would be great, even if we all know who'd go over in the end.

Jazz married Steph?

See if you can find the one about "someone" putting GHB in the coffee machine at a TV taping. That one was funnier because everyone involved did it to themselves instead of pissing off the wrestlers then getting COMPLETELY fucked over.
-
And Goldberg's drawing power as champion is unknown while Trips' is crap right now. I'd take a chance on an unsure commodity over the certainty that the champion is hurting your product.
-
Trips is in 1998 Hogan mode now, MAYBE defending the belt on every PPV. The last match I remember him having on TV was against Booker in April or so and he doesn't do house shows, so how is Goldberg any different? At least Goldberg MIGHT show up at a house show every once in a while as he has a few contracted appearances each month besides 4 RAWs and a possible PPV.

I think this is the only month I've lost money on, and it was a LOT. The only bet I won was $500 on Kane and that was a bad payoff bet.

WWE: Faces: The Rock Kurt Angle Steve Austin (If I can find a way to get his morale low, I'll release his ass) Undertaker (Need to job him out) Brock Lesnar Heels: Chris Jericho (top draw) Triple H Vince McMahon Ric Flair Eddie Guerrero The champions are all the standard ones that started the game except for Rico being the Cruiser champ and the Dudleyz being the World tag champs. When I job them out to TWGTT, I'm dissolving the lesser of the two belts. BTW, my developmental territory's getting pretty stacked with all the guys I'll have just in case. These include Austin Lee, Chris Hero, CM Punk, Daron Smythe, the Briscoe Brothers, Johnny Kashmere, Johnny Storm, Lazarus, Matt Stryker, Mike Sullivan, Race Steele, Scoot Andrews, Tito Ortiz, and Trent Acid. All of these guys have high marks in at least two of the three wrestling styles and can only get better. It helps that I cleared up the roster by releasing Nash, the APA, Sable, and a bunch of other overpriced and undertalented people.

AJ Styles vs Tajiri. Match Background: None. The Match: AJ Styles connects with a back heel kick on Tajiri and gets back up quickly. Implant DDT by AJ Styles! I will always and forever mark out for that move. Covers for a quick two count. Tajiri backdrops AJ Styles out of a piledriver attempt. That took a lot out of Tajiri. Tajiri uses a basement dropkick to the knee and it looks like it might be TIME TO GO TO SCHOOL~! Tajiri kicks the leg, knocks Styles down, and goes to work on it. Tajiri uses a basement dropkick to the knee and it looks like it might be TIME TO GO TO SCHOOL~! Tajiri charges into the corner but EATS BOOT. Flying cross body off the top rope! The referee bumps after catching a wild right hand and is down. Tajiri floors Styles, then signals for the Kick Of Death. Meanwhile, AJ Styles has something in his hands. Tajiri comes over...and gets nailed with a set of brass knuckles! The referee wakes up to see the pinfall: 1....2....3! It's over. AJ Styles remains in the ring, celebrating the victory. My Opinion: As close to a ***** match as possible...but unfortunately, it was missing something, so I can only give it ****3/4. Jesus... I need to have these two feud. I just did this as a random undercard match just to see what would happen.

Man says he can turn trash into oil and gas
teke184 replied to MarvinisaLunatic's topic in Current Events
I have a nagging vision in mind of the guy successfully fighting off the oil companies only to get bent over by environmentalists who'll bitch about the increased air pollution concerns despite the fact that it's an environmentally friendly process. As for the oil companies, I could see them buying up the process and producing oil MUCH cheaper yet finding some BS excuse to keep prices where they are, sending their profits through the roof. Considering that the process would make the US more than self-sufficient at making fuel, it would mean that we'd be less dependant on the Middle East, there would be less drilling in areas with wildlife concerns, and there would likely be less danger of another Valdez-type accident. All that being said, I think there's no chance in Hell of ANY of this happening.
