You can't pull two new active-duty divisions out of your ass in less than a year or two due to training limits. Also, it would be VERY hard to double our Special Forces quickly without watering down the training they receive. Right now, those groups contain the best of the best... If you take twice as many people, you're more likely to get fill-ins than the quality you're looking for.

OK, Bush had Kerry on that one but he should have gone further and said that both France and Germany say a Kerry administration won't change their policies.

I know I'm biased, but Kerry is looking like shit. They should have had more of the one-minute extensions on some of these questions.
