To me "too long" is when his popularity wanes. Disagree, completely. You can't expect an over wrestler to stay over after being repackaged. That's like saying that Steve Austin should have been as over as the Ringmaster compared to being Stone Cold. The gimmick works for Cena. As time goes by, little adjustments can be made to give depth. But I don't think it's necessary to repackage him completely to prove that he is good enough and will stay over enough to get the title. Can you imagine if they kept the Rock in midcard when he was so over and kept the main eventers the same and hoped for the best, in terms of them getting better? The most popular wrestler shouldn't be in the mid-card, unless they are all comedy or a short term gimmick (which can be argued that someone like Eugene might be). The company should be headed by wrestlers people care about above everybody else.

True enough. But there is such a thing as waiting too long, no? If WWE does it right, yes, money is in the chase. But if they wait until Cena's popularity goes downhill, there's no money to be had because the fans aren't as interested. I might have worded it wrong in my post, because I don't believe Cena should get the belt this instant. As long as the guys on top are getting reactions (Taker, Eddie, Angle and now JBL are getting strong enough reactions), it's alright to have an extremely popular mid-carder. But as soon as Cena is getting a significantly larger reaction than everybody else (it'll happen), he needs to be in the main program and the top challenger or champion.

Edge. I think soon, he'll be put in a feud with Triple H. If you have a good, two-sided feud with HHH, you're a main eventer. Orton will get it sooner or later, especially if Triple H goes off to make a movie. It's obvious they are trying to make Orton/Edge the Rock/HHH of 2004, which is fine by me. It gives either guy something to do all the time. When in doubt, they feud with each other. I don't see Cena getting it anytime soon, actually. He doesn't really need the title with his reactions yet. WWE will milk this puppy as long as possible, which I disagree with, because if someone is getting monster reactions, it's logical to give them the belt.

Hoff and I did (I did the singles part, he did the tag part), so thanks.

Alright guys, calm down. For the current crop, I prefer Jericho on the mic compared to practically everyone else. Call it bias, but I think he's very good at comedy (his face stuff now is MUCH better than it was in, say, 2000), and he can cut a serious promo. Of all time, I'm not sure. It's a tough call. I think I'm not young to properly access, so I'll just stick to the present.

Can someone explain this?

It was better than I thought it'd be, but it was sort of on in the backround, so I can't be the best judge I guess. Although Bradshaw got a laugh out of me talking to Undertaker, especially the Shannon part. Torrie acted like she found out her husband got murdered or something. Funny acting. I'm actually liking this Dudley angle. The matches weren't very good tonight (I didn't catch the first 30 minutes, so I missed the cruiser match), but some of the promos were entertaining enough.

Crystal responds to Zack's psychotic ramblings because, well, Crystal doesn't get punked, dawgs.

Whoa. Murder on TV. That's intense, man. Very well done, and chilling to boot. I'll do a more detailed feedback later, if the mood inspires me. In case I don't, great show overall. Very solid.

Shannon in a heart beat. Jeff was fine until he went crazy with the paint and hair colour. I really hope that we get surprised and it's not Stephanie. Chances are it is, and I wouldn't be upset per se, but I like being surprised.

You and... well, you. I think you're underestimating the fangirl ratio in wrestling.

Shannon Moore in a Title match? I'd pay to see that.

Thanks for not starting another thread on it. Much appreciated.

Other than the whole paranoid angle he had, what other great mic works did he do? Was it before the Alliance, because I remembering while I thought he was funny during that period, not exactly a spectacular mic guy. I was thinking late 2001 with the "What?" phrase. My mistake.
-
Austin in 2001? The same guy who would say "What?" after every line? He was good for the whole paranoid shtick, but other than that, I would disagree.

Am I the only one who doesn't get this?

Dupree's push has considerly lessened too. He's been doing a whole lot of nothing, just like Rob has, since Great American Bash. I think he should form a tag team with someone like Jintrak. London and Kidman need another tag team to face after the Dudleys.

Am I the only one who's missing why RVD's getting depushed? Did he do something wrong? If by pushing Luther Reigns, he means a heel monster to feud with Cena and put him over, fine. If by pushing Luther Reigns, he means Taker's (if he wins at SS) first contender, then not so much.

Good call! "Bob..." "My name's Billy!" "It doesn't matter what your name is!" Poor Billy. Both Edge and Rock got him good.

Every single wrestler has a website dedicated to them. It's not a shock.

I don't ever believe it's too late for someone like Booker or RVD to win the title. Fans have pretty short memories. Now, if they went from where they are now to World Champions, yes, that would be stupid. If either one of them got a gradual push to the Main Event scene, it'd fine. Realistically though, I don't see either getting the WWE championship. RVD may have a slim chance if he resigns, but I don't think Booker will get it. Besides, it'll kill his Five-Time gimmick.
-
Did RVD do something wrong? Or are they just waiting for him to sign a contract? Or was there not enough room for him? On a brighter note, he'll probably main event Velocity instead of curtain-jerking!

I really have no idea how they're going to do this. I really, truly don't want Eugene a part of this. Absence makes the heart fonder, so let the character get a month break or more. This isn't a good situation if they want a HHH vs. Benoit match at Summerslam. If it is a screwy finish, the crowd wouldn't be very happy, and neither would the rest of the fans. If Benoit wins clean, what possible reason could be given to give HHH a rematch? If HHH wins clean, why would Benoit get a rematch, either than a rematch clause on his contract, or something like that? I just don't see how having Benoit and HHH wrestle each other three times in one month could be good. That being said, quality wise, I'm looking forward to the match. As for the result and post-match happenings? Not so much.

I used to have, when I was a kid back in '95, a WWF logo one. Mind you, it was the block logo, so it was pretty campy and lame. But I was 8, so it's alright. The only two shirts I own right now are a RVD one (ball and chains one, which I think is pretty cool) and the Jericho "Sexy Beast" one (which I wear as often as possible).

Benoit is still champion. There is, more often than not, a good match every week on Raw. Orton's improved, and I'm actually interested in his character. WWE is actually giving people a reason to care about Edge. Paul London and Kidman getting the titles is pretty interesting, and the tag division needed to garner interest. The tag champs on Raw are an actual tag team, and have an actual feud at the time. Tajiri and Rhyno are doing something.
