WICKED last two matches, I must say. Props, y'all.

For feuds, you forgot Cena/Angle. Here's a question: when Angle comes back (if he does anytime soon), will he feud with Eddie or Cena? Because he seems to have beef with both of them.
-
That's pretty cool. It's like the Informer, but, you know, not stupid.
-
I'd like that Elimination 4 Way included, but I believe that Gail Kim is injured. Throw in Jazz, toss out Nidia early, and you got yourself a pretty nifty three way elimination.

When / If Angle Returns to the ring

Since the evil GM is played out, maybe Steph will come back. Or Shane will. -
Was it Kidman that did the SSP? Such a shame that London had to change his finisher, because his SSP was pretty. Anyways, wow, they sure freshened up the show this week, huh? Maybe I'll watch this week in full! What they'll do with the US belt will be interesting. I really, really don't want Cena to take on Kenzo though. Or Haas take on Luther. Hopefully, those are just mini-feuds for the US Title tournament. It's good to see London/Kidman as tag champs. They could really get over as Hardy Boys 2K4. I wish they'd both do SSP, one after another. That'd be cool. I'm guessing Dupree being at ringside for RVD's match means they are feuding. Don't think I like that too much, but maybe it's just another mini-feud to set up the US Title tournament too.

EDIT: It'll be Crystal vs. Logan.

But this isn't a long-term character. Why put someone in the main event who won't even be around, long-term? The real money with Eugene is in the merchandise I would think. And he would sell as much as a midcard comedy wrestler. Hell, he'd probably sell more because there won't be a chance that the crowd would be against him like they are appearing to be now. Look at Hurricane.
-
Well, I don't think Eugene should be anywhere near a ME storyline, but that's another debate. And when Eugene stops being funny, *that's* when you freshen his character up. Sure, you don't want to ride it out too long, but ride it out as long as you can. Actually, the "Eugene sucks" chant I was refering to was the one when he was attacking Edge's arm pretty viciously. Yes Edge is Canadian, but no Canadian icon or anything. It was just the crowd not showing any sympathy towards Eugene. But to squeeze everything out of the character, you keep him as a comedy character as long as you can, and THEN do something with the said character. Look, it's great that WWE wants HHH's evil character to be fresh. I appreciate that. But WWE still had some gas left in the Eugene mid-carder angle. I'm just saying Eugene could have been a comedy wrestler longer.
-
I'm not going to bash HHH for this or anything, but I'd rather Eugene being used for comedy a little while later. When people get sick of Eugene being funny, then he could be used in the compacity that he's being used now. If it ain't broke, why fix it? I'll use last night as an example. My favorite Eugene segments were the funny ones. The musical chairs, the driving Flair insane, was freaking hilarious. Judging by fan reactions, they weren't buying Eugene as a sympathetic face, as evidence to the "Eugene sucks" chants. I don't think there was a need to stop the comedy with Regal. The crowds loved it. Sure, this Eugene thing makes HHH look like a evil bastard. That's all fine and dandy, but I *know* that already. We all know that. It's been shown to us since he turned heel two years ago. Was it really necessary on WWE's part to break up a perfectly fine comedy midcard angle to show us that HHH is evil?

Various spoilers, reports and stuff for this week

It wasn't confirmed by WWE that it was Stevie in the dress, though. Until they reveal who the lady in drag is, Stevie can go on being his, erm, somewhat normal self. -
Similar to American culture, but more hockey. Canada has been called the only country to survive without a culture, but I actually think hockey is our culture. The first thing to unite Canadians country wide was radio, more specifically Hockey Night in Canada.

I doubt Edge/HHH will be at Summerslam. I got a feeling that the feud will be a slow burn type of feud. Though I have no clue how they could justify another Benoit/HHH match at Summerslam, unless the main event this Sunday is a screwy finish. Predicted Card: Heat match: Trish vs. Victoria (Damn, they really need to get some more female faces) PPV: Triple H vs. Benoit (World Title Match) Orton vs. Jericho Batista vs. Edge (IC Title Match) Kane vs. HBK JBL vs. Undertaker vs. Eddie (WWE Title Match) Cena vs. Booker T RVD vs. Dupree Either: Rey vs. Noble/Chavo/any heel cruiserweight -or- Dudleys vs. London/Kidman (?) If it's any 8 card PPV, that looks about right. If it's a 10 card PPV, I say all the listed matches (including the women's match on Heat) and a random Heat match. If Shelton/Christian are back by then (I don't think they are), they can have a match. Just replace the women's match, or be the Heat match. EDIT: Forgot about HBK/Kane, so I added it in.

This is just teens either trying to be "rebels" and cool, or spewing out what their parents believe.
-
Why would Edge have to lose? Just because he's a main eventer, doesn't mean HHH can't fight for the IC Title. Hell, if HHH actually has the World Title by the time he feuds with Edge (Hopefully not, but there's a pretty big chance), then it can be an 'ol Champion vs. Champion match. When those are done properly, they can work.
-
They're going to push Edge. A way to get him over is to take out members of Evolution to get the leader. And now that it looks like they are actually giving a reason for people to care for Edge,he could get to be as over as he was before injury quite easily.
-
I do agree with you in the sense that yes, the promo was quite vague. I'm actually hoping that it's revealed that Evolution (if they were around at that time) took Edge out at No Way Out last year. Why? Because they wanted to help Raw and Bishoff against the war on SD (because successful Raw=money for Evolution, who's on the top of Raw). It may seem a bit of a reach, but at least it places Edge's anger somewhat.

Your favourite submission trademark in WWE today

The crossface. I love the different ways Benoit can put his opponents in the move. It's also good in the sense that depending on what the commentators sell it as, it can work the neck or the shoulder. -
A little late, but does anyone want a match with the Female Phenom?
-
I thought it was because he wanted a change. And since it seems to me that Raw is lacking solid face midcarders (I think Matt's the only one right now), Edge should seek help from young, hungry guys, or something like that. This storyline could benefit more than Edge and Evolution.
-
How stupid would that be? The guy who comes back to avenge his death is the bad guy. Oh boy.

I concur. Though, c'mon, a running kneelift? Of all the moves Regal can bust out... Yeah, that's how he he beat Stevie in the recent houseshow I went to. Very strange indeed. -
Did you see his Heat and Smackdown matches against Tajiri? He looked absolutely terrible in them. You mean when him and Nidia turned on Tajiri? I remember those matches as being fine.
-
Pretty good Raw. Jericho's reaction was off the charts. I loved it! Eugene's comedy was good. The first segment was pretty damn funny. I could have done without the ending of Y2J/Orton, but I guess it was for the best seeing that both have relatively big matches. I like the Edge angle. They're FINALLY giving the crowd a reason to cheer for him. If he's going to be a serious face, they might as well give a sinister feel to him. Although I am curious to know why he thinks he's different than the others, heh. The serious Eugene stuff was alright (NOT the storyline of the year). I think I'm going to get sick of it fast though.
-
Edge. I don't say that because he's the greatest wrestler ever or anything. Rather, people bag on him way too much. With all the critisism I see of him, you'd think he was in the bottom 10 of wrestling abilities in the company.
