Curry, while your chinlock comment did make me laugh, I'm not sure if this is so much a talented wrestler getting depushed as much as it is really, really bad business. I'll never understand why WWE won't push over wrestlers because they feel they're not ready/can't work main event style/whatever the fuck, but will push not-so-over wrestlers in trying to find the next Steve Austin. I don't care much for Christian, and I actually like him fine in mid-card, but it's just stupid, stupid business.

Since the main event is a long one, I want to give it all my attention, so here's all the feedback for the rest of the show. I'm a keener! Good opening promo, but France? If you’re saying stuff like that, shouldn’t you pick a neutral country like Czech? Good promo with Alf/Mike. Who’s writing Mike’s character, by the way? Heh, loved the interaction with Cal and Belial. Funny stuff. Good match, and call me gullible, but I didn’t see Tony turning on CWM coming. Fun stuff to read. I like how Vitamin X interrupted Parka’s interview. You’ve got to wonder why other people in real wrestling companies don’t do that. Then again, I suppose there aren’t too many sit down interviews in real wrestling companies. A pity, really. Never thought I’d see the day… Didn’t like the random blood in the match to be honest, but I did like Cole explaining the usage of the surfboard. PRL’s promo was somewhat funny (DESPITE the over usage of WWE catchphrases!), but the “guess who?” joke took a bit too long, me thinks. Ha! Sorry, couldn’t help but notice that one. Oh, come on Zack, let him finish! Good segment. I’m glad Zack and Cal aren’t suddenly buddy-buddy, but aren’t bitter rivals too. An uneasy GM/wrestler relationship is pretty cool. When are Thunderkid and Reject from? Sigh, I feel so young. I’m really glad that it isn’t the cow.

What a stupid reason to wear a colour, by the way. Do you think you're a rebel or something? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Don't front, girl. You don't know me! Step off! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wait a tick...I just realized something. Aren't you a chick? Why does it matter if men wear pink to you? Now I'm confused.

I concur. It's tacky as hell and really shows that SD is a B-Show. It's the little things people!

So, is Christian becoming a cruiserweight? That'd be hilarious...
-
I guess she'll get lypo of something, because her face doesn't really reflect her obvious weight lose. But if she loses 15 pounds of fat, her body will look nice.

Good changes with the segment Calvin. I like Calvin as GM.

Are the Mexicools turning face? Because it was a heelish thing to do to Christian, yes, but outside of Canada, Christian is a heel. Hey! Maybe Christian will be the next Matt Hardy and go into the cruiser division. Sweet!

That sounds strikingly similar to the RVD/Carlito drug feud with Rey in the middle that Rudo suggested...

Meh, it's just like with girls: if you can pull it off, go ahead. Not all girls look good in pink either, so they don't wear it. It really should depend on your skin tone/hair colour, if we're being fashionable about this. On the other hand, I really shouldn't be talking, because I'm not a stylist or fashion expert by any stretch. I personally don't wear pink.

Ugh, Vance Nevada? So boring...

Why would males (or females, I suppose) buy Diva videos when you can see the photos on the internet? I mean, that is why they buy the videos, right? I'm sure it's not for the diva's winning personalities.

I got to give credit to Test for one thing: he played a great asshole.

Fun Fact: Jericho hasn't won on a PPV this year. Lost the Rumble. Lost the Money in the Bank match. Lost to Benjamin at Backlash. Lost to Lance Storm at One Night Stand. Lost to, alongside Christian, Cena at Vengence EDIT: Silly me, I forgot losing the Elimination Chamber at New Year's Revolution. Whoops!

Other that or running over a dog.

HHH now is officially part of creative team
CanadianChick replied to Kurt Angle Mark's topic in The WWE Folder
He's on the creative team now, with the shitty summer shows. I'm not blaming him obviously, but to say he improves to show is a flawed arguement since he's still technically part of it. -

But he shouldn't be on the TEAM which has the FINAL say. I don't even care that it's HHH himself. No wrestler should be on the writing team whether it's HHH, Jericho or Stevie Richards. It's a conflict of interest, plain and simple. Pitching ideas to the creative team is great, but a seperate group should be the one deciding because, ideally, they have the most fan-based perspective. -

No, in general it's a problem. Wrestlers obviously have egos and are obviously biased towards themselves. It is a conflict of interest, period. Having ideas is great, but wrestlers should not have the final say on what goes down. -
Will one night stand stand the test of time
CanadianChick replied to slabinskia's topic in The WWE Folder
Main event 2000-2001 certainly does not stand the test of time for myself. I cannot stand watching HHH and Austin during that era. -

CanadianChick replied to slabinskia's topic in The WWE Folder
It won't stand the test of time. It was a trip down memory lane, nothing more or nothing less. The thing that WWE can take away from it, though, is the enviroment of the event and the atmosphere. It created a buzz, and that's something WWE desperately needs to start doing. -

You can't possibly think it's a good thing for your top wrestler to be on the writing team, do you? -

Geez whiz, now this wouldn't be considered a conflict of interest, now would it? Isn't part of why WCW went out of business was because of wrestlers getting too much creative control? -
If Shawn Michaels never hurt his back
CanadianChick replied to UZI Suicide's topic in General Wrestling
Cabbageboy, my young mind might be decieving me, but didn't Rocky really only go from a funny mid-carder to really being groomed for the future after Shawn left? Sure, he did have that IC title feud with Austin, but would that have eventually transcended? After HBK left, HHH turned face and feuded with Rocky, who eventually feuded with Austin. Had HBK been there alongside HHH, that would have been the two main heels and Rocky wouldn't have been really needed. I'm not saying Rocky wouldn't be a main eventer, but would it have been to the point where he would have been part of the group that led the main event? I say he would have ended up in more of a Kurt Angle-esq role, barring HBK injury. -
If Shawn Michaels never hurt his back
CanadianChick replied to UZI Suicide's topic in General Wrestling
Shawn Michaels would be a lot less happy of a real person right now. He wouldn't have his wife or his kid. With all the painkillers he was popping in 97/98, he might be dead for all we know. At the pace he was going and all the crazy bumps he took, he would have gotten seriously hurt anyways by continuing to push his body's limits. All in all, I think it was a good thing for Shawn Michaels that he did get injured. On the other hand, had Shawn stayed healthy, not get injured, ect., I doubt HHH would be a 10 time champion right now. Of course, that's hearsey, but so is this thread in general. To be fair, it could have been true (Shawn being Austin's greatest rival). If Shawn and HHH both stayed heel with DX, Rocky probably wouldn't have gotten the oppertunity to be a big time heel and feud with Austin to be his great rival. The big main eventers probably would have been Austin, Shawn, Taker and HHH, instead of Austin, Rock, HHH and Taker.
