he gotten a release a year or so ago, he runs a Self defense school in Pennsylvania. I just read last week that him and Ken Shamrock are going into business together. They're selling martial arts clothes. After WWF, I heard Blackman went into a career for stunts or something. Back on topic, I would love to see a Posse reunion of Shane, Pete Gas, & Rodney... no Joey Abs, though.

I saw it last night, as well, and didn't look like any extras. Same thing was reported in early August: No extras announced. If you haven't seen the PPV, yet, it's still worth buying. Three awesome matches in Eddie vs. Benoit, TWGTT vs. Rey & Kidman, and the Triple Threat main event. Some consider this to be the best PPV this year, although I happen to think that WM XIX is slightly better.

I think Shane fought DDP in a street fight on July 9, 2001. It ended in a No Contest when Shane joined DDP and attacked Undertaker.
-
Same thing happened at Survivor Series 02.

Then I call foul on Hogans tap out at KOTR 2002 when he grabbed the ropes SEVERAL Times but got pulled back. Fair enough. I didn't defend that. Maybe it's just me, but when it comes to grabbing the ropes for submissions, it always seemed like you had to hold onto the ropes for like a minimum of 3 seconds, which Brock didn't do. I can't remember if Hogan did it or not.

From one viewing... La Resistance vs. Dudleys: *1/2 Taker vs. A-Train: ** Shane vs. Bischoff: * U.S. Title 4-Way: ***1/2 Brock vs. Angle: ****1/2 Kane vs. RVD: **1/4 Elimination Chamber: **1/2 I'll admit that nothing was really horrible, but HHH's win was a really disappointing way to end the show. I cringed when Goldberg started going through everyone. The worst part about HHH's win was just that he didn't do jackshit in the match except for the surprise sledgehammer shot.

No Evil Coach love? I thought that was absolutely AWESOME. Oh, don't get me wrong... Watching Coach in heel mode was funny as hell, especially when he was doing the "I'm not touching you" bit with Austin. But we all know that heel turns for face announcers lead nowhere, unless you count Bischoff in WCW when he turned nWo. And I don't think Coach is about to join Evolution or something. But, who knows, maybe the turn will actually work, because afterall, the crowd seems to hate Coach, unless that was just out of spite for replacing JR.

My thoughts on Summerslam... Going into this show, I actually expected the Summerslam streak to continue. While the matches like Angle-Brock and the US Title 4-Way were great, IMO, the rest was just disappointing. Dudleys vs. La Resistance... The show opens with the National Anthem celebrating Phoenix's marines... so La Resistance retain? Odd booking, IMO. Shane vs. Bischoff was, I'll admit, somewhat entertaining in the end. A Coach heel turn, though? Is that really necessary? Well, I guess Heat now has a new heel commentator, unless Bischoff promotes him to Raw or something. The 4-Way was really good, but I was behind Benoit. I love Eddie, but I really wanted to see Benoit walk out with the gold. The EC was most disappointing. For the record, I predicted the exact order of entry. Nash eliminated early... that was fine, because did we really need Nash for 20 more min. or so? It's pretty laughable that he lasted less than 3 min. though. - My first gripe: We didn't even get to see a situation where HHH & Orton have to fight. Hyped each week as Orton having to lay down, and even on the PPV, we were given the idea that Orton would go against orders and try and win the title. I'm not saying that he didn't try and win, because he did by going after everyone, EXCEPT HHH. - What a performance by HHH! I understand that he didn't want to be mauled by Goldberg like everyone else, but was it necessary to keep him out that long? If his groin injury is that bad, sit out of the entire show, period. - Most of all... HHH wins. I thought Jericho had this one in the bag. His win, other than maybe Goldberg's, was the one that makes most sense. Everyone else has their reasons for not winning, whether it be based on experience (Orton), injuries (HHH), horrible workrate and drawing power (Nash), or schedule (HBK... partly Goldberg). Goldberg eliminating everyone but Nash and HHH... rediculous. I like how they're building him as a monster, and breaking through HHH's glass was a cool spot, but I flipped out when Jericho went. The match itself wasn't great, and the first EC was definitely better. Overall, the show had its ups and downs. I give it a 5/10. How long has it been since there was a PPV with no title changes?

I have the comic (Silver Surfer # 55, I believe), although in bad condition, where Warlock and Surfer find Thanos standing triumphant over bloody and beaten characters like Captain America, Hulk, Wolverine, Cyclops, Dr. Strange, Cloak, Spider Man, and maybe a few others. That comic was always one of my favs.

Sounds like THE glitch of No Mercy, that just randomly erases data. I was one of the lucky ones who got a glitch-free copy when it first came out.

The new F-Zero (8/26... I believe) Wrestlemania XIX (9/9)

I loved Chun Li's special double jumps using the walls. I could always set the opponent up for the special kick, too. Occasionally, I would use her fireball, too. I believe they added that move in for the Super version.

I have no clue where my Super Street Fighter 2 is, but I remember being quite good with Chun Li. I remember buying Super Street Fighter 2 the day it came out for SNES. Good times... EDIT: Was there any way to fight Akuma at the end of the game, whether it be SNES or Arcade? I remember reading a game article years ago that posted pictures of it, but it claimed that neither Capcom or the magazine knew how to unlock the battle.

$1200 on Undertaker $200 on Jericho

I only have a few, although I've rented many, but I can't remember them, except one: I remember always renting Crunch Classic, with Earthquake sitting on some jobber on the front. My favorite, only because it's the best one I have, is Smack 'em Whack 'em. Two great matches: Bret's first title win against Flair, and the Ladder match between Bret & HBK. However, the crap is bad: Bret vs. Kamala

Elimination Chamber IMO, it's either Jericho or Goldberg... And I've picked Jericho since day one. Some think Orton might get the big push, but he is too green. Hell, if he's going to get any title first, it'll be the IC. Nash is just too slow, and he failed back in May/June with his program against HHH. HBK already had his title reign, and it was nothing too spectacular. He doesn't even wrestle at house shows... Therefore, no World Title at house shows. Same argument there for Goldberg. I don't think WWE has too much faith in him as champion, based on backstage reports and such. HHH is injured, but it wouldn't be too surprising if he walked out champion. Jericho needs the title, and he is the most over heel on Raw. Give him a shot. Winner: Jericho Angle vs. Brock Second title match of the night, and it's actually unpredictable, too... to me, at least. On one hand, I see Angle retaining. Afterall, he just won the title last month. Then, there's the rumors that WWE wants to push Eddie Guerrero to the top for a title shot at Survivor Series. Although he would likely be a face in Dallas, I think they want Eddie to stay in his tweener role. Would you rather see Angle vs. Eddie or Brock vs. Eddie? On the other hand, Brock just turned into a heel, and taking out Gowen was quite the heel beatdown. Brock can't afford a clean loss, but I think it would be pointless to give him back the title that he just had less than a month ago. I pick Angle to retain, maybe by DQ or something. Winner: Angle retains by DQ or something Kane vs. RVD It seems like neither guy can afford a loss here, either. But, let's face it... RVD never seems like he's going anywhere. The Kane unmasking is actually a decent angle and seems to be drawing in some ratings. Kane needs this win alot more than RVD. Kane wins with a squash almost like his early matches in 1997. I figure this will be alot like Kane's match with Mankind at Survivor Series 1997: Mankind (RVD in this case) gets a lot of offense in, but in the end, Kane is too much and finishes with a Tombstone. Winner: Kane US Title 4-Way: Eddie vs. Benoit vs. Tajiri vs. Rhyno Is this even elimination or is it just one fall? I'd prefer elimination, but whatever. If it is, then I suspect the eliminations to go Rhyno first, Tajiri second, and Eddie third, making Benoit the champ. Benoit has been jobbing for months now, and afterall, according to inside sources, the original plan for the US Title was to put it on Benoit. Eddie can go on to better things, as planned, and Rhyno feud with Benoit over the gold into No Mercy. As for Tajiri, why not give him a feud with the Dragon or something? Shane vs. Bischoff Although I could care less here, I'm split on making a decision. It all depends on Linda. Did Linda give in to Bischoff or is she pissed off. If pissed off, Shane wins, if not Bischoff wins. Simple. I'm figuring WWE is not going to go with a storyline this disturbing, so I think Shane wins. Winner: Shane Undertaker vs. A-Train Remember Taker vs. Test last year? This is the same thing, except I think A-Train is a better wrestler than Test. This could be a decent match if they both have their working boots on. Taker wins, simply because Taker never jobs to mid-carders on PPV. Maybe on SD, but not PPV. Winner: Undertaker World Tag Titles: La Resistance vs. Dudley Boyz I predict this to be the opener, and I'm guessing it'll only get about 5 min. or so. Dudleys win, and as Fearhavoc said, JR will go overboard with American pride. Hell, he got upset when La Resistance drank french wine. I can only wonder what his reaction would be if they ate salads with French dressing. Winners: Dudleys

Well, now that Gowen vs. Matt is likely off the show, maybe we'll see a WGTT vs. Rey & Kidman. It could be announced on Heat, although I think they'll stick with 7 matches to make more time for the EC and everything else.
-
Order in... 1. HBK 2. Jericho (Jericho vs. HBK = good first 5 min. or so) 3. Orton (Triggers heel beatdown on HBK) 4. Nash (Nash saves HBK and makes it almost like a tag match, although HBK & Nash fight in between) 5. HHH (Champ gets a good advantage this time around) 6. Goldberg (Crowd will likely look forward to Goldberg entering and going nuts in the match) Order out... 1. Nash, via HHH (Least likely to win, IMO, he's the worst in the match.) 2. Orton, via HBK (HBK wins here, jobs another day) 3. HHH, via "injury" (HHH doesn't job by pinfall) 4. Goldberg, via Jericho (Goldberg spears through the glass, Jericho, all bloody and battered, rolls him in the ring, and covers.) 5. HBK (Jericho wins cleanly, whether with the Walls or normal beatdown.) WINNER: Jericho

Your First Live Event
Aero replied to A Guy Who Injects Heroin Into Kids' Eyes's topic in The WWE Folder
Awesome, I went to the same event! My seats were right on the aisle. When Hogan came out, my brother had a "Hulk Still Rules" sign, so Hogan held it up. UNFORTUNATELY... it was cut out on TV by a recap of the previous week. -
Well... this sucks. Some people complain that Hogan isn't in the game, but we all know that no Warrior is 50x worse. He was the reason I was looking forward to the legends feature.
-
Also, can't forget that the outside of the ring has a steel floor that's level with the ring apron.

Your First Live Event
Aero replied to A Guy Who Injects Heroin Into Kids' Eyes's topic in The WWE Folder
My first event was Summerslam 97, and it was definitely worth it. My seats were right above the entrance set... maybe a little to the left. My friends sign (an all black sign with "WWF Rules" written in white) is most visible when Owen Hart makes his entrance. When all the commentators were leaving, Vince saw the sign, pointed at it and nodded. Even before the show, they had a huge parking lot party... HBK, Steve Austin, LOD, Sunny and more all made appearances. -
Same thing happens to me everyday. I don't think it can be fixed, though. Guess what... it happened when I tryed to use the quick reply!

Elimination Chamber As basically everyone else is saying, Jericho and possibly HBK are going to have to carry this one on their backs. It all just depends on who enters first. It seemingly has to be Jericho & Michaels to carry on the first half or so. The last EC wasn't that bad as some people here claim. I think this one will be on par with the last one, and who knows... maybe even better. Afterall, last time was only the FIRST EC. They should know how to book the match a little better now. It just depends on who feels like working. **-***1/2 Angle vs. Brock Most definitely MOTN... WM was a great match, but now that Angle is in better shape, I think we can expect a better match. Honestly, though, I have no clue who's going to win here. I don't think they'll take the title off of Angle so soon, but how to they book a Brock loss? Maybe DQ? Anyway, I'm thinking rating will be ***3/4-****3/4 Kane vs. RVD I think this might become No DQ or something... maybe on Heat or something. That way, RVD can really get some of his hardcore offense in, and Kane could sell it. Either way, though, RVD is going to be bumping like a madman for Kane. Could be really good, and I don't think it'll be as much of a squash as everyone else says. RVD needs some credibility. *1/2-*** Shane vs. Bischoff Let's face it, McMahons only have decent matches in No DQ matches. Shane is occasionally the exception to that rule, having a few decend matches with Rock, X-Pac, and others... but Bischoff is NOT a wrestler. Because of that, I don't expect the match to last very long. DUD-* Four-Way US Title Match Another MOTN candidate. I think the pairings of Eddie vs. Tajiri and Benoit vs. Rhyno will be obvious in the match. In fact, I think it would be entertaining if we actually saw some teamwork from Benoit & Tajiri or Eddie & Rhyno... hell, why not have Benoit & Rhyno or Eddie & Tajiri for a minute? If given enough time, this one could steal the show. ***-****1/4 Undertaker vs. A-Train Neither Taker or A-Train have been looking too bad lately. I'm guessing this one will get about 8 min. or so. Not even Taker-Big Show from No Way Out was THAT bad, so I don't see why this one can't go to... *-**1/4 La Resistance vs. Dudleys I'm guessing that this will be the opener. I think the Dudleys get the win in a 5 min. match. La Resistance are still very green, but if short enough, and maybe with a hot, pro-USA crowd, the match could be decent. 1/2*-**1/4 Matt Hardy vs. Zach Gowen Gowen is far from a terrible wrestler, and Matt has been looking good in his matches. Could be a great match, although we all know how it will play out: Matt has the advantage for nearly the entire match... Shannon Moore occasionally gets cheapshots in... Gowen makes a comeback. I'm not sure on who wins, though. **-**3/4
