I was surprised that HHH said that he and Stephanie were married 'in real life' in the opening promo. It seems so WCW.

I would've picked Christian as the favorite, but since news got out that Vince still doesn't care for him, I'd have to lean toward Benjamin as winning, which is fine with me since he's overdue to win at least one of these.

Did they ever explain the rules of the Savage/Crush Falls Count Anywhere match at WM X prior to the show? They had the deal where if you were pinned outside, you had 60 seconds to return the ring. Okay, but what happened if you pinned them inside the ring? There's the point in the middle where Savage hits the flying elbow inside, and rather than cover, he pushes him outside under the bottom rope, and then pins him (Vince exclaims "THAT MAKES SENSE!" on commentary). I would've assumed that a pin inside would end the match, unless it would result in just '60 seconds to get to your feet', which probably would be the equivalent of a Last Man Standing match's referee's 10-count, I guess. I'm just curious.

Yes, Radzinsky was Kelvin's partner, and he put a shotgun in his mouth to cause the stain on top of the Swan's ceiling.

Koslov proved that he wasn't stupid as the rest by catching him with a powerslam. It's too bad no one else thinks to counter it, or not to do the 10 punches to UT in the corner. I generally don't mind Old School much, but it's horrible when he does it in the Rumble match. I think he did it in both 2007 and 2008, if not more.

Yay, new episode tonight. I was looking at some of the upcoming episode titles on TV.com, and here's the title of the season finale:

Getting Black Lushus started on how horrible the GI Joe flick is turni

They did release some (not sure if it was everything), but like Transformers, the sets have been out of print for a while and usually go for ridiculously high prices. The Suncoast I used to work at occasionally saw the Transformers sets come in used, and they ranged between $60-100... USED. -
speaking of left out what about primo/carlito, miz/morrison, cryme tyme and priceless? We're closing in on 2 weeks away and they have nothing going yet this years build up has been chaotic at best If they don't go through with another Miz & Morrison vs. Colons match, I would assume that those four teams end up in a 4-Way match. As it's been said in the Raw thread, though, Priceless could possibly be considered to "already on the card" due to participation in HHH/Orton. If last night was any indication, I could see them having HHH put both DiBiase and Rhodes out of action in the next few weeks so that it ends up one on one against Orton. Since Kozlov apparently won't be getting the IC Title match, I guess that means that he won't be on the WM card, outside of maybe an appearance in the dark match. I can't think of anything else for him to do. Before the card started coming together, I was thinking they might do a "Biggest Battle Royal in WM History" deal with all the giants: Show, Kane, Henry, Kozlov, Umaga, Khali, Knox, JBL, and of course, Jamie Noble for comedic value.

I wouldn't say it's totally implausible that Jericho wins at WM. He probably will lose, but I could see him getting the win out of nowhere and then taking the finishers of all the legends post-match for the feel-good moment. The only thing that makes me think he'll actually lose is that Rourke will likely be ringside to interfere, setting Jericho up for the loss.

Kind of slow until the ending. The scenes between Jack and the Senator were good, but now I'm really disappointed to see the Senator dead. I'm glad that the package that Voight is bringing in isn't a nuke, because there's likely nothing more they can do, creative-wise, with them.

The Agent of Oblivion question of the day
Aero replied to Agent of Oblivion's topic in No Holds Barred
The metal nickel. When I was little, a belt buckle I wore was made of it, and it was causing a rash on my stomach for the longest time before we had it checked out with a doctor. -
I think Venkman loves 24/7 too much to ever leave the board. The WWE folder is a different story, though.

How did the Career match stipulation come into play for Warrior/Savage at WM VII? I'm assuming it was probably just a simple challenge, but I was just wondering if there was more to it.

There's probably more to it, but a week or so after Summerslam, I remember there was a Saturday Night Raw where Taker & Kane were pissed at Vince or something, and they were doing run-ins for every match and destroying whoever was out just to ruin the show. I believe Rock was one of the victims, and he was one of the few people, along with Shamrock and Mankind in coming weeks, to really fight back. That, combined with him apparently distancing himself from the Nation, just made the crowd start to take a liking to him, especially when he was eventually facing heels like D'Lo and Mark Henry in October.

WrestleMania Roundtable Part Three: The Middle Years
Aero replied to King Kamala's topic in General Wrestling
WM XI and XII are just blah for me. Nothing horrible, but the only standout match is the Iron Man between the two. If I had to choose my least favorite WM, it would probably be XI. WM 13 gets a free pass for me since it was the first PPV that I was ever able to order. Before that, I always had to watch scramblevision or wait for the Coliseum VHS releases. I loved the show at the time, but not much holds up, with one obvious exception, which is my favorite match of all time. On paper, I think Bulldog & Owen vs. Vader & Mankind could've been very good, but it just turned out to be way too dull. I still do enjoy WM XIV from top to bottom, with the Dumpster match still being my favorite. Nothing's awful. I do remember being very shocked that The Rock held on to the IC Title at the time. I was positive that Shamrock was going to be taking the title, especially after getting screwed out of the win at the Rumble. Of course, it worked out much better with Rock holding onto the title. I think everyone has one of those shows where upon first viewing, it seemed amazing, but the years just aren't kind to it. That would be WM XV for me. To this day, I still enjoy Austin/Rock and X-Pac/Shane, but yes, everything else mostly sucks. Despite getting only 3-4 minutes, I think the Tag Title match is fine, it's just that it needed more time. With Mark Henry being injured, the only other good team that could fill in as challengers would've been the Outlaws. I know they were involved in their own respective stories, but considering Russo felt it necessary to just switch them around on a whim, I see no reason why they couldn't have been put in the Tag Title scene a few weeks earlier, instead. The Backlash match between the two was decent. Of course, Jarrett & Owen retaining would be the preferable ending for WM. -
Similarly, in the Edge/Cena TLC match, Edge had stacked two tables in the ring several minutes before the finish. Cena gave Edge a standard FU, but the top table fell off upon the FU's impact, so Cena had to restack the tables for no particular reason, then climb the ladder. From there, Edge followed and was eventually FU'd through the stack.

Surprisingly, I completed it with 5:09 remaining. I wasn't expecting to get through the 80's champions as easily as I did.

Oh yeah, I completely forgot about the Martha appearance last season.

Bill Buchanan will indeed be missed. I'm tempted to ask what happened to his relationship with Karen Hayes, but I never really cared for them as a couple, so it doesn't bother me much. I was surprised that they acknowledged that something happened between Pierce and Martha Logan to bring them apart.

Having not seen Smackdown last week or the first half of Raw, why are HHH and Orton allowed to attack each other? Obviously HHH got arrested last night, but I was under the impression that if they fought before the PPV, then the WM match was off.
