I'd probably spoiler tag your first post, Combusken.

Easily the 2004 Rumble Match, followed by Austin vs. Owen at Summerslam 97. The only other PPV I went to was No Mercy 2004, and it was just a very average show. I've never been to a TV taping or house show with any spectacular matches.

Wrestlemania X7 seems to be one of the rarest these days due to being one of the best PPVs ever and having no editing, plus "My Way" left in tact. You usually see outrageous prices on Ebay for that one. Vengeance 2002, like Judgment Day 2002, was one of the Shopzone exclusives, so it's probably about as rare. I might be wrong, but I think the Shopzone exclusive only applied to the US, so in Canada, they're not very rare.

I think an I Quit match would be the most suitable gimmick match for Jericho/HBK at Unforgiven. A month ago it would've been a blindfold match, but the feud is obviously beyond that now.
-
I assume the meetings prior to the PPV go something like this... "We need to cut some time somewhere." "Let's just cut the ECW match down to 20 seconds." "Great idea!" Seriously, ECW matches on PPVs are just such a waste. The only one that comes to mind as actually being good and worthwhile was the Punk/Miz/Morrison triple threat from Survivor Series.

I though that entire segment was fantastic. It could have definitely been done on Raw, but whatever. I love this feud so much. I did find it funny that the marquee on the entrance is actually advertising "Shawn Michaels' Announcement".

He gets really upset at Souled Out 98 when Dusty Rhodes turns on Larry and joins the nWo. Walks away from the booth for a few minutes, and then comes back and can barely call the Steiners & Traylor vs. nWo match.

I think this actually looks like the best overall Summerslam since 2002. Really, the only match I don't have any interest in is the IC/Women's title match. I would be ordering, but I'm currently saving my money for moving. And, last I checked, Comcast isn't offering HD PPVs yet. The two PPVs I have ordered post-HD (Rumble & WM) have had really shitty picture quality, so it's hardly worth the money. I'll just watch a stream. Predictions: HHH over Khali Punk over JBL Henry over Matt Jeff over MVP Taker over Edge Batista over Cena Kofi & Mickie over Beth & Santino The chance of a no contest in Cena/Batista is probably greater than a winner, but I just see Batista getting the win by going full blown heel, cheating behind the referee's back or whatever. I'm picking Kofi & Mickie to retain, but if Beth & Santino do win, I bet it'll be when Santino pins Mickie. Then Santino & Beth celebrate with their respective titles, only for Adamle to come out and say that Santino gets the women's title since he pinned Mickie, and Beth gets the IC title. God I hope Kofi & Mickie retain so I don't have to possibly endure Santino's "hilarious" antics as women's champion. Edit: I'm almost kind of sad. This is the first Summerslam I won't be ordering since 1996.

1.) Favorite SummerSlam show overall? 1998 2.) Favorite world title match? Austin vs. Angle in 2001. Honorable mentions to Bret/Taker, Austin/Taker, and Cena/Jericho. The latter was pretty much a foregone conclusion that Cena was going to win, but that match ended up being really enjoyable. 3.) Favorite mid card title match? Owen Hart vs. Austin for the IC Title in 1997. Prior to the finish of this match, it was hard for Austin to not have a good match with anyone on PPV. Honorable mentions to Bret/Bulldog in 1992, HHH/Rock in 1998, and Bret/Perfect in 1991. 4.) Favorite tag title match? Hart Foundation vs. Demolition in 1990. It would have been Harts vs. Brainbusters, but it wasn't for the titles. And while the match wasn't spectacular or anything, I always really liked the Taker & Big Show vs. X-Pac & Kane match from 1999. 5.) Favorite non-title match? Probably Hart Foundation vs. Brainbusters in 1989. 6.) Favorite segment? Nothing amazing really comes to mind, so I'll just go with everything from the Savage/Liz wedding, including the reception of course... "A Blender! YEAH!!!" 7.) Things you hated besides Goldberg screwed out of winning the Elimination Chamber? Having a Jericho/Benoit three fall match go only 13 minutes. How much of a waste the 2003 card was outside of the four-way match and Angle vs. Lesnar. At least we got a dream rematch between Shane McMahon and Eric Bischoff, though. Diesel vs. Mabel is your main event in 1995. 8.) Random SummerSlam-related thoughts are also welcome. I don't think there's been a really good Summerslam since 2002. 2005 had a few good matches, but that's about it.

The entire finish to the Iron Man match between HHH & Rock at Judgment Day 2000 (outside of the botched timing). I was a huge Taker mark around this point, so dead man or biker, I was thrilled to see him back.

Man, what a random main event on Raw. Patriot was obviously feuding with Bulldog, but he was taken out of the match. I did find it funny that Savio suddenly thinks of himself as the king of the triple threat match after winning at Ground Zero. If he had won, he would've been able to be the king of triple threats and Caribbean strap matches, I suppose.

I'm pretty sure the uber-cell is actually the new official cell. I think it was used in the Taker-Batista match at Survivor Series. I'm interested in seeing the Edge-Foley segment as well. And unless I missed it, there seems to be no HHH on the show? Guess he's home with Stephanie and the baby.

Retail annoyances ahead... Whenever you find a customer opening the box of something they grabbed off the shelf to see what the item actually looks like. First of all, if the customer isn't caught, chances are he won't be putting said item back into the box properly, if at all. Secondly, there's a picture of the item right on the front of the box. This customer walks in and asks me for a different item, which I found for him. I walked to the back of the store for a minute, and then I walk up to find him in the middle of the store with an $80 Spiderman bust on the floor. The actual bust is inside one the protective styrofoam cases. He had already taken the stryrofoam out of the box and was clearly just about to rip it open by ripping the tape off. Before he could go further I approached him and asked him to not do that. He first just calmly said that he wanted to see what it looked like, so I told him he could look at the picture on the box (not rudely, mind you). I didn't think he was attempting to steal since he was right out in the open and I wasn't far away to begin with. With that, he starts getting all defensive. I explain that the first instinct for any employee, no matter what store it is, would think he was trying to steal. From there, he says, "I'm not retarded dude, just fuck off." From there, I just automatically told him to leave. He refused, using worse and worse language as he went. The store's in a shopping mall, so I just told him I would call security if he didn't leave. He says fine, so I pick up the phone up front. Before I could dial the number, he's slamming his other item on the counter getting ready to leave. More f-words result, and him questioning why I would bother calling security. (paraphrased) Me: "Um, because you initially refused to leave, so they would make you leave since it's their job." Him: "I wasn't even stealing. I wouldn't need to steal. I have thousands of dollars, five cars, a boat, blah blah blah, you suck, you're a pussy, you won't ever get any pussy, etc." (SERIOUSLY) At that point, he was in the entrance of the store ready to leave, so I just started helping a customer who approached the register to pay for something. Back to the original point of customers taking it upon themselves to open items just to "see what it looks like", I generally don't mind for minor stuff that can be opened quickly without the trouble of putting it back the way it was, but does it hurt for customers to ask? Especially when I clearly had no one else to help at that time?

I once played ECW Hardcore Revolution against Nova and won.

Awesome poll in the Raw section of WWE.com I also find it funny that Linda would have to be considered by her kids in order to take over as GM.

Arrested Development for me, too. I love both of the them to death, but it seems like I quote AD much more. Also, I think GOB and Tobias > the Office cast. Speaking of AD, a few weeks ago, I managed to pick up Season 2 new at Target for only $9.99. Now that's a steal.

Horrible ending to a match that was getting to be really good.

I vaguely remember that one. It seemed like it was obvious Rock would win, though. I remember it being in the YouTube thread. Awesome stuff. Marc Mero was in there keeping away from all the action. When he finally got involved, he received a massive cheers. My favorite Cornette line: (very serious tone) "WAIT A MINUTE! Funaki just eliminated Togo..." I usually love almost any battle royal, but there are some really bad ones out there. Of course, the Shotgun battle royal above, but I do remember the WM 22 preshow battle royal being extremely bad, to the point where the commentators (Cole & Tazz, I think?) ended up turning on the match. And of course... Viscera wins.

The crowd in my theater was really good for the most part, laughing at all the funny stuff as you'd expect. Cheering was pretty minimal, surprisingly, but there were huge cheers for and . The latter probably got more of an ovation, shockingly. The only annoyances in my theater were those people who laugh hysterically at something Joker just said, which is fine, but then they feel the need to repeat the line out loud... "OMG, he says (line)!" Good crowd otherwise.

All I can say is wow. One of the best movie-going experiences of my life. After watching Begins earlier today, I figured it would be better, but I wasn't expecting it to be THAT good.

Yesterday, I called the movie theater that's five minutes from where I live to ask if they still had tickets available for the midnight screening. "Oh, we're not doing a midnight screening." That's just a bit strange, considering they've done midnight shows for just about anything that has any kind of hype behind it. The last movie I saw at midnight there was Superman Returns. So, I just called the next closest theater that's about 10 minutes further, and bought my tickets online. I'm happy to say that I haven't watched any of the clips outside of the trailer going in, so everything will be fresh.

Trailer for the prequel movie to air in November http://b2-studios.com/cuts/FOX/24TCA_v6.html Looks interesting. I didn't realize that both Peter MacNicol and Powers Booth were returning. Thoughts?

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, 1989, Spielberg I needed an Indiana Jones movie, and Raiders was already taken. I'm often back and forth between this one and Raiders being my favorite, so missing out on the first isn't a big loss.
