I was beginning to think they were going to swerve us with Sara being alive. I didn't fully catch what Mahone said about Sara, so when Michael was opening the briefcase, I thought it would be something to confirm that she was alive. And before it was revealed to be Whistler, I did think that Kellerman was the person meeting with Mahone are the bar.

The match listings for the 6/9 Nitro don't list Benoit. It's funny that was posted, because I was just about to ask about Benoit. Was he associated much with the Horsemen at this point? Obviously they edit out his individual segments/matches, but it seems like WWE really lucked out in that Benoit is never seen with the other Horsemen members. Even this past Nitro, only Mongo & Jarrett save Flair from Hall & Syxx.

It sounds like a decent show, but the DQ in the World Title match makes me glad I didn't order. It's fine to do it once and a while to further the story, but this was the fifth DQ in a World Title match on a PPV since Summerslam.

Having just gotten a new HDTV (40" Samsung, 1080p, Auto Motion Plus), I was planning on getting Comcast's HD service. Obviously, only the available HD channels will be HD, but how's the quality on the other channels? About the same or a little better?

There's no reason Matt shouldn't get the big win at WM. Considering this has been going since last summer, Matt needs to finally get redemption... that is, outside of winning a basketball or pizza-eating contest. Even if MVP wins by cheating, a loss for Matt would just be silly. Other than that, I'd say that's about as good a card as we're going to get.

While it's very likely, that logic doesn't always work. Survivor Series 07, Cade & Murdoch vs. Holly & Rhodes didn't open. The ECW Title match did. Survivor Series 03, Smackdown's main event opened on a show with a Tag Title match in the middle. Edit: nevermind this in regards to 6 match shows. For whatever it's worth, there have been at least three six-match PPVs since WM 12 (not including Survivor Series 02, Rumbles, or 2 hr IYHs.)

Add Ghostbusters and TNA Impact to my list. Of course, I hope the latter ends up actually having good gameplay. If not, it'll be easy to pass up.

If you're talking about Smackdown's World Title matches, it was promoted much more than HHH vs. Booker at WM 19 and just about as equal to HHH vs. Benoit vs. HBK at WM 20. If you're talking strictly the World Heavyweight Title, it main evented two of the past WMs.

Ok - therese are outright lies. Last year - season 6 had an amazing four episode premiere and then managed to be pretty terrible for the other 20 episodes. But seasons 1-5 are all damn good. Season 4 with Habib Marwan and Season 5 with the shady white house dealings were both awesome. I agree completely. I didn't hate season 6 much when it first aired, but rewatching it on DVD, it's pretty bad. That said, I'm still really looking forward to the new season whenever it ends up airing.

I suppose it could be decent given enough time, but on a show with two EC matches and two other World Title matches, it'll likely get the usual 8 minute ECW spot in the card.

So apparently next week is the season finale. I had no idea and just figured they only had a portion of the episodes made due to the strike. Tonight's episode was awesome, and I'm curious to see if that really is the last time we see Mahone.

I thought it was Locke, too, but I was under the impression that the eye saw Hurley looking in. Tonight, when Hurley told Locke that the cabin was in a different direction, Locke seemed surprised that Hurley knew what he was talking about. So maybe it wasn't Locke's eye.

That was actually my first live viewing episode as I just finished watching all the seasons on DVD earlier in the week. I seriously read just about this entire thread as I watched the episodes. Apparently Hurley seeing Jacob's cabin is quite a big deal, judging by Ben and Locke's reactions. Finally, someone asks Ben what the smoke monster is. Disappointing that we didn't get any answers, but at least it was finally asked.

I think that was the dummy plane that was "planted" by the Others or whoever to make the world think that there were no survivors.

GTA IV. Not much after that, although I'll probably end up getting Smash Bros.

Here's an idea, although maybe it's too "TNA". Rather than have two separate EC matches, combine the two by joining the Raw & SD guys for six teams. The match follows regular EC rules, and the winning team is their brand's No. 1 contender. It might be too much of a clusterfuck, but I'd rather watch that than two separate matches.

I'm hoping that they have the classic MSG short aisle entrance instead of the regular PPV set like WM XX, but since this is the first HD PPV, I assume they'll have some elaborate set. And sure, we all know that HHH, Taker, or Batista will likely win, but at least it really is up in the air as to who will win among them.

Besides Punk, I figure Elijah Burke has a good chance of being added. After them (& possibly Chavo), it comes down to jobbers, Big Show, or guys already in the undercard. I'm hoping for Punk, Jericho, JBL, MVP, & Flair. Sure, it'd be fun to see Big Show make his big, "surprise" return and toss a few guys out, but him dominating the Rumble is overdone. The only interesting thing that will come out of his inclusion would be a confrontation with Khali, which I assume they'll do. They'll probably eliminate each other to build for a WM match.

For movies, I like spoiler tags for about the first week or so just to get a general opinion. After that, if you're venturing onto page 8 of a thread for a single movie, you'd better expect to have something spoiled. TV shows don't really matter once they've aired.
