Yeah, the elimination match was perfectly fine. The only thing I might have done differently would have been to include Matt. Let's say Matt holds his own against Kennedy for a moment, and MVP cheapshots his knee, allowing Kennedy (or even MVP himself) to get the elimination. It keeps Matt strong, and MVP keeps his heat. The only match on the show I wasn't into was Cade & Murdoch vs. Holly & Rhodes, but even that wasn't bad or anything. It's just that something more meaningful could've filled its spot. HIAC was good, but until I watch it again, I'd probably rank it toward the bottom of the the Batista-Taker series... probably above the TV cage match. The last few minutes were especially good, with the tombstone on the steps being insane. I wouldn't say PPV of the year, but it easily ranks in the top three.

It's starting to seem doubtful that my Babbages will get it in soon, so I've finally just ordered from Buy.com. Should be here by the middle of next week.

I haven't seen Darjeeling or Bottle Rocket, but the others go: 1. Rushmore 2. Royal Tenanbaums 3. Life Aquatic

They can easily avoid it. Both will just focus on storylines, and it's not like Benoit did anything of note this year other than feud with MVP.

My Gamestop said that they're expecting shipment tommorrow. I'll be swinging by mid-day.

The difficulty for that level is way overrated. The only hard part is that area completely covered by the electric seaweed, and it takes 15 seconds. Now, later in the game, in the sewers of the big city, the annoying jumps really aggrivate me. Especially when you go to jump, only for an enemy to attack you mid-air, causing you to fall into the water below and take you all the way back to the beginning.

It will probably only be a sudden death match like 1999. They've been calling the elimination matches "classic" the last couple years, and this is only advertised as a regular tag.
-
According to WWE.com, Umaga has taken Kennedy's spot in the lumberjack match and remains captain of his team. DISSENTION~!

I could live with them editing out his stuff from all his Summerslams. I'd only be buying the set to get 1988-1999 in DVD quality anyway.

OAO 11/05 Raw Thread...... no longer thinking about "Y2J"
Aero replied to Boxer's topic in The WWE Folder
Don't know about recent, but there was that weird half hour overrun the night after Bad Blood 04, with Flair, Orton, & Batista vs. Benoit, Jericho, & Shelton (?) in an elimination match. -
So, IGN posted it's reviews for all the consoles. 360 got the best score by a few points, but I assume that's only because of the ripping music off your hard drive feature. Basically... same CAW as last year, same stupid AI, and a smaller, outdated roster. Yeah, I'm in no rush to pick this up.

Here's the rename list from Gamefaqs. http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/file/927675/38973 I went into my Babbages the other day to see if I could preorder this, but since it's not a huge release and only costing $19.99, they couldn't, saying it'll probably arrive a few days after 11/13. I would just order online, but I have store credit.

You're right, it was the camera man that HBK attacked.

Weird, my brother was a Green Monkey. He's already made plans next year to be Ug Lee. For me, I'm thinking Marty McFly.
-
Why not Goldust? He was one of the only decent upper mid-carders left, and had problems with the Harts going into each match. Of course, the match at Survivor Series didn't work out so well since Pillman had died, and Goldust was turning heel.
-
The Survivor Series promo at last night's PPV mentioned guys competing in singles and team matches. Hopefully we get some more random matches like last year... given more than 10-12 minutes, of course.

Actually, I just rewatched this show recently, and he was backstage for an interview after Snitsky attacked Maven. Technically, his storyline vacation didn't begin until after the show.

In January 2006, after a Raw at the Meadowlands, me and my brother were in a Burger King in a rest stop off the Turnpike. While waiting at the end of a long line, we realize that Balls Mahoney (who wouldn't sign with WWE until about 6 months later) is behind us. He complains about how no one is taking any of the food available to grab from the heat chutes, proceeds to cut the line, pay, and then scarf down two Whoppers at the counter where you grab napkins, ketchup, etc.

The big question: Will Tony's Cubs mug make an appearance this season? In all seriousness though, I'm really looking forward to it. I still get the feeling that by mid-season, they'll have reverted back to the typical formula of Jack out in the field, call Chloe/Bill for CTU type assistance.

Most shocked you have ever been while watching wrestling
Aero replied to Vampiro69's topic in General Wrestling
I have to say, Undertaker cutting his hair in late 2001 really shocked the hell out of me. -
Just watching it again, I really love the finish to Rock vs. Austin at WM 17. The heel turn, I know, is hit or miss for a lot of people, but I love how Austin just DESTROYS Rock with the chair. Up to that point, Rock had kicked out of several Stunners and a chairshot. So what does Austin do? He gets desperate and kills Rock with the chair, shot after shot. It's really not that often that you see anyone repeatedly use a chair or any other weapon like that.

Actually, Hogan didn't defend against Piper at Halloween Havoc. Obviously, the point still stands about there being little to no defenses.
-
Nice touch by WWE.com using a photo that has Booker & Sharmell looking worried and panicked.
-
Obviously, no way they'd waste Jericho on ECW. And Balls doesn't strike me as someone worth hyping as a mystery partner. It could be someone new debuting in ECW... That said, it'll probably be Balls or Dreamer.

After just watching Survivor Series 03 and the beginning of the following night's Raw, here's a question. Bischoff granted each member of his team a favor for winning at the PPV. Jericho saved Trish from Kane in 2004, Christian got Lita her job back, and Scott Steiner got a Tag title shot for himself and Test. What did Orton and Mark Henry ask for? I'm inclined to think Henry just wasted it on a title match that he lost, and Orton got the IC Title shot against RVD at Armageddon, but I can't remember for sure.
