WWE 24/7 Discussion Thread - September 2007
Aero replied to EVIL~! alkeiper's topic in WWE Multimedia
I haven't been paying attention to many of the updates lately, but I have Vengeance 07 and European Rampage for Big Ones, and I did get the 3/17 MNW updated tonight. Raw is awesomeness, obviously... at least the main event. -
Sure, Bellick's been an ass throughout both seasons, but you can't help but feel sorry for him. He needs to go back to being Fox River inmate Bellick.

It reminded me of when they were trying to get Orton over as their number one face after he lost the World Title. There was a Raw at MSG with a lumberjack main event of HHH vs. Jericho. Post-match when everyone was brawling inside and outside the ring, Orton (who was probably barred from the arena earlier), runs in and RKOs everyone in sight, even poor, SHIT Rosey who just tried to calm him down. The crowd reaction: mild at best.

Cody waited that long?

I like the Flintstones one better.

IGN confirmed in its latest update that, exclusive to the 360 version, you'll be able to take music off your hard drive and put it into the game. PS3's exclusive feature, meanwhile, is that you get to switch to first-person view during entrances.

AND THE INTERNET EXPLODES But seriously, how did that benefit anyone but HHH?
-
So it looks like "Sara" will be sitting in the corner with her back turned for a while.

No Office wins yet. Pam & Dwight both lost.

He's one of my favorites of all time. When he returned in 2000 as the American Bad Ass, he was tolerable, but not as cool as he was. It wasn't until he turned heel in late 2001 that I really started liking him again. In fact, by the time WWE decided to have him go deadman again in late 2003, I was wishing he wouldn't so he didn't have to be limited by the zombie gimmick again. Lately, he's been good. He can have good matches here and there, and great matches with certain people. The only reason I'm not overly excited for his return is because of the Khali feud, which we know is on the horizon after he finishes with Henry.

Ha, Val Venis is still out in the ring... this late in the show.
-
Weird cover. It'll be out 12/4, as expected. Usual extra features, but it does list an alternate ending, which could be interesting.

Wow, I don't think I could be any more disappointed with that roster. No Shelton pisses me off, but no Londrick is absolutely rediculous. It is surprising that RVD is nowhere to be seen, but Sabu managed to make the cut. At least Fire Pro will be out around the same time.

(Gozer shows up) Venkman: "Whatever it is, it's gotta get by us..." Stantz: "Right." Venkman: "GO GET HER RAY!"

I wasn't the only one expecting Drama to yell victory at the end, right?

WWE 24/7 Discussion Thread - September 2007

I assume it's based on the 7/29/97 Raw from August. The opening theme and the theme for in between segments (no lyrics) are both dubbed. -
Prison Break (although I need to watch the season 2 DVD when it comes out next week) The Office I'll be watching wrestling, too. I am curious enough to probably watch the first episode of Cavemen to see how bad it'll be. After these, I'll be waiting for 24 and The Shield to return.
-
I'd say Rey will just be filler for Khali until Unforgiven. I'm still expecting Khali vs. Batista in a Punjabi Prison match at the PPV. This doesn't look like too bad of a show, so I'll probably check it out.

The OAO Raw Thread for August 27th, 2007

Nothing worth seeing, but Jeff Hardy returning, and Umaga attacking him after a match with Kennedy would be worth mentioning, I guess. -

I don't think Raw has an overun tonight. -

The OAO Thread For The Twentieth Annual SummerSlam Games

It would be the fourth. I had no problem with Umaga retaining. I just thought it was odd that Kennedy took the fall instead of Carlito. -
The OAO Thread For The Twentieth Annual SummerSlam Games

This was just a very average show, offering nothing much different from what you'd see on any regular Raw or Smackdown. Rey-Chavo and Cena-Orton were probably the best matches of the night, but that's not saying much. The latter was dominated by Orton restholds with a hot last couple minutes. I want to say I was disappointed by Punk-Morrison, but their other PPV matches weren't anywhere near great. The finish looked sloppy, and I'm glad they saved the cheap roll-up with rope assistance win for the big Summerslam match. Khali-Batista was just bad, and the DQ finish was trash. If they really wanted to continue the feud with a DQ finish, why not just have both guys get out of control, knock out referee after referee, and brawl into the entrance for a double DQ? As it was, Khali grabbed a chair and lightly hit Batista over the back with it, only to get speared by Batista within 30 seconds or so. HHH-Book was exactly what I was expecting. HHH does look lighter and younger, and I'm actually glad to see him back as long as DX is dead. For the PPV as a whole, easily a thumbs down. Nothing worth going out of your way to see. -
Was that actually confirmed? I didn't think they actually specified Summerslam. I don't know, I haven't watched the show yet but someone earlier mentioned it, so I assumed it was actually booked. In that case, I think the poster above was just speculating. There's no way.
