About the music editing... The WM DVDs had Boss Man, Demolition, and the Godwinns' music edited among others. Boss Man had his 1998 heel theme, and the others had generic themes. Then on 24/7, one of the first shows I watched was Summerslam 96, which had the same edited Godwinns theme. But recently, they had the special on Demolition which had the correct theme, and I think I heard Boss Man's right theme somewhere too. Anyone know why?

I'll definitely be picking up the Rumble anthology and the Horsemen set, and maybe Austin's depending on if the match list is any good. This year marks the 20th anniversary of Survivor Series, as well. Too bad we're apparently not getting an anthology next year. But hey, I'll finally be getting a decent copy of the 1988 Rumble.

Sounds like an okay show, but more Eddie Guerrero? Just dig up the corpse already for storyline purposes... It's what Eddie would've wanted.

Yeah, Unforgiven came out on the 17th also. I've seen it at Best Buy and at Wal-Mart. It is the Cena picture from the poster and there is some sticker about DX bonus features, I guess similar to what they did with Vengeance. I've seen it at Suncoast packed with the Trish Stratus DVD from a few years ago, just like Summerslam was packed with Cena's DVD.

Opening video for Summerslam 97: "Life isn't fair" I'll just add that I think 1997 had some of the best WWF PPV opening videos ever. I love this, Canadian Stampede, WM 13, and Survivor Series 97, with the last one being my favorite. That video made you HYPED for the main event... too bad the ending of the match sucked.

*whispers* that had most of that stuff on youtube..I was surprised it wasnt deleted... Was this right before Survivor Series 01? If it's still up on youtube, do you have the link?

They obviously want Joe/Angle for Genesis, so that should logically leaves Sting/Christian for the title. Either Jarrett gets added to make it a 3-way (more likely I think) or he gets a mini-feud with someone like Eric Young.
-
Overall, it was pretty good. The cage match and X-Title matches were great, and the Nash invitational was entertaining as hell. Everything else, excluding the Young-Zbyszko squash, was pretty decent, but the main event was just bad. All they did was just go through the motions leading to the no-selling of the guitar and death lock.
-
I guess weeks of training allows Sting to no sell the guitar shot like that... Sting wins with Scorpion Death lock

Unless they go to the full 3 hours, this match shouldn't be any longer than 10 mins.
-
But who got the build-up in their match based on it being their hometown?
-
LAX won after a vertebreaker on AJ. Great match, probably on par with Sabin-Senshi from earlier.
-
Homicide just busted out the FORK to the forehead on Daniels Edit: ...and then pours tequila on the bloody wound!

Losing in your hometown seems to be the rule, with or without Russo. But to job a wrestler in his hometown the one night the show is out of Orlando is almost baffling.

She didn't mean it was literally the gimmick, she just used the expression. Christian wins after piling chairs, a ladder, table pieces, and street signs on top of Rhino and then gives the pile a couple of chair shots. I'm surprised Rhino actually lost.
-
Rhino just hit a piledriver off the apron and through a table.

Not much, really. Spike and Abyss climbed up part of the scaffolding near the entrance, with Spike getting thrown off, and Abyss jumping after him. In the ring, Abyss was on his hands and knees right above the tacks, and Joe hit his running senton on top. Muscle Buster to Raven ended it. Sabin just beat Senshi with a small package to win the X Title... very good match, and easily MOTN so far. Rhino vs. Christian up next.
-
For those not watching... Joe won Monster's Ball, and Eric Young beat Zbyszko. Cornette said that Joe couldn't interfere in the main event or he would be fired leading to Angle and Joe having a pull-apart brawl in the ring and then up the ramp. Sabin vs. Senshi up next.

Monster's Ball is up next

Nash presents Starr with a giant bowling trophy.
-
Brainbuster, and Starr wins.
-
Down to Starr and Lethal, who's dead after a Canadian Destroyer
-
Oh no, it's Gowen! Nash: "At least I go the right one-legged wrestler."

So, it's basically a Royal Rumble with 60 second intervals.
