Wow, they love JBL THAT much? I'm just glad he's staying. I don't know what I'd do if I didn't get to hear him keep hilariously overreacting to the Little Bastard appearances.

Remember the days when almost everyone hated JBL as soon as he went to the main event? Those were the days. But yeah, I'll miss him.

Since I don't think I've seen it done here

I always liked the skit where Chris Parnell is filming the TV movie about the life of Jesus for NBC to beat CBS's, which is coming out in 3 weeks. Ferrell is Jesus, and Cuba Gooding Jr. is Paul the Disciple, and they're just improvising everything. Jesus: "So Paul... I hear you're good at... discipling..." Barry: "So what Jesus... you talkin smack about me?" It was actually on this past Saturday on NBC's classic episode. -
Can't say I'm disappointed. He was entertaining to watch in backstage skits due to just how rediculous the gimmick was, but that's about it. The scene with him scaring Teddy Long, Palmer Cannon, and all the midgets was awesome.

Has the Raw main event scene ever been this stale?
Aero replied to iggymcfly's topic in The WWE Folder
If the DX-McMahon feud was actually interesting and compelling, then there would be nothing to complain about. The same thing happens nearly every week. DX do their lame pranks and embarrass the McMahons, who get their revenge with a beatdown the next week, and it all culminates in an overbooked match at the PPV where DX beats the odds and wins. -

I think it was the Raw right after or before Christmas last year. McMahon was 'reviewing' Bret's DVD and called HBK out, who told him to grow up and move on. That's why this feud has been going on near 10 months. -
Kurt Angle in 2002 occasionally, and Mr. Perfect.

Cena stayed on the ladder, and Edge went through stacked tables. The opener was just okay. The first half was a little slow with pointless stalling every other minute or so. I'm usually not one to start getting picky about working a body part in a match, but if all that leg work wasn't going to incorporate into the finish, what was the point? Under the circumstances, I wouldn't have minded a roll-up or small package, but THAT finish? A boot!? I thought the women's match was definitely better than the average women's match, but not better than Mickie vs. Trish from WM or the Lita-Trish match from Raw in late 2004. The Sharpshooter finish was cool, but a little sloppy.

I'm surprised that I'm actually interested in the PPV, but I can't order since I'm working late. Depending on how it is, I might order the replay.

Perfect's entire time in the Rumble had me marking out like crazy. Up to his entrance, HHH & Austin had been throwing everyone out, but Perfect managed to hang on and even do the gum swat while hanging outside the ropes with Austin & HHH trying to eliminate him. I thought for sure he would go out after Angle's accidental clothesline.

Unless you really hate Lashley THAT much, I'd wait until the final card is announced to make a judgment. The Lashley-Booker series post-Judgment Day was surprisingly really good, and besides, who else did you want to see Book defend against? The only other logical face is Batista, and their match at Summerslam was awful. Benoit shouldn't be getting a title shot so soon, if he even returns to TV before No Mercy.

Actually, HHH won the hog pen match. He just got tossed in it afterwards.

Wrestler of the Day is Vito, sans dress. His music and entrance video are updated, but he still has FBI entrance moves.
-
Yes, we all know Vince has the ego to book himself in the main event of a MSG Raw, but I can't believe they really booked such a dead, lifeless, boring "match" like that to go on last instead of the hot six-man tag.

It's a mix of the Warrior and Hulking up.

IGN is starting their wrestler of the day countdown eventually. I didn't see any bios yet, but they do have Kane and Big Show individual entrance videos up along with some gameplay. Kane and Show each carry a World Tag title to the ring, and it looks like they each have special belt entrances: Kane carries his belt and leaves it on the apron upon entering the ring, and Show just has his draped over his shoulder the entire time. They both look great. http://media.ps2.ign.com/media/820/820800/vids_1.html

Muhammad Hassan jobbed to Jericho at a Royal Rumble qualifying match at a house show.

Goldberg?!?!??!?!?! Let's face it... the plan always was to put the title on Goldberg. What better way to put him over than to have him beat an "unstoppable" Kane?
-
I remember reading somewhere on the board that Taker offered Kane the oppurtunity to end his streak at his last WM or something, but I don't think it was 100% credible. I've never actively hated Kane, but they really dropped the ball with him after his unmasking. He should have been booked as a monster destroying everyone in his path (especially Shane), winning the title from HHH, and then have Goldberg be the one to finally beat him. Just what I would've like to see though.

I haven't seen nearly as many Flair matches as I have Bret matches, but it would be... Bret vs. Austin from WM 13 Flair vs. Funk from Clash
-
I don't think anyone in WWE has ever called them that, but they do have the name on their shorts.

So, I assume they want Sting vs. Christian somewhere down the road, so is Sting winning the title and then defending against Christian at BFG? Or would it be Joe? While I wouldn't mind Joe finally getting his title shot against Sting instead of Jarrett at whatever event in the future, I still can't comprehend how TNA missed the boat with the obvious Sting-Christian and Jarrett-Joe line-up for BFG. TNA booking is just baffling.

Whoa, where's my weekly Vito match? At least tell me they'll have a video of Vito running errands in his dress. Seriously though, it looks okay. I want to see Finlay-Rey because their first TV match around NWO/WM time was awesome.
