The annoying part about the battle royal was the fact that they didn't even announce what the point of the battle royal was. I assumed it was for the No. 1 Contendership for the US Title since Lashley wasn't in it. Booker, Kennedy, Finlay, Regal, and Matt Hardy were the only credible guys involved, with the rest being the cruisers/jobbers. It came down to the Kings Court with Kennedy vs. London, Kendrick, & Hardy. The Court threw Kennedy to the three faces, and he got tossed. Finally, it came down to Hardy against Booker & Regal. This went on for a few minutes with Booker mostly staying to the side. Booker won after simultaneously tossing them both. "All Hail King Booker" went on for a few minutes after. Rey looked like a complete jobber. Nothing new, but all he had was an interview saying how great it is to be champion and then came out and got destroyed by Henry later. He needed to be helped to the back. Overall, the show, minus the battle royal and Batista return was dreadfully boring to be honest. Maybe it'll come off better on TV. The crowd was apparently saving the excitement all night for Batista and Raw. Not only was Shelton in the dark match, but he had to use a "hold the ropes" cheap pin to win.

With nothing better to do tonight, I bought cheap seats at the last minute, so I'll be there.

I was thinking about trying to get my hands on FPR, but I need to make it playable first. Here's the question: Would just the Swap Magic disc work with FPR, or do I also need the Flip Top component?

Any reason why Kennedy hasn't been doing the second rope rolling Samoan drop since returning?

I didn't mind her at all. Just in case... One small "hey look at that" thing:

The biggest things to me are backstage knowledge and how they judge matches. For the latter, almost any smark can tell you how bad an upcoming Big Show-Khali match likely will be. But a mark might be excited to the degree of, "HOW CAN KHALI BEAT THE 500 lb BIG SHOW!?" To go way back, when I was growing up, I loved when Taker would feud with guys like Giant Gonzales and Yokozuna. On backstage stuff, though, the average older fan today is definitely smarter than the average fan from say 1998-1999 when wrestling was at the height of its popularity. I look at it this way: In 1998-1999, almost everyone and their mom was into wrestling at least a little bit. Those that started watching around this time didn't care about what was going on backstage as long as Austin was stunning Vince and DX were on TV each week. Since then, WWE has obviously lost many fans. Today's fans seem like they're mostly (a) all the kids who started watching within the last few years and (b) all the long-time fans who've stuck with wrestling post-2001. The kids eat whatever WWE feeds them... Cena being the obvious example. I'm sure they're on the internet, but they're probably more likely to visit WWE.com rather than the Observer. But the other fans are older and have learned about stuff like HHH's backstage stroke, for example, throughout the years. Obviously, there are exceptions, though. That's just how I look at it.

Just got back from seeing it about half an hour ago. Long yes... but REALLY good. I don't want to start saying it's better than some of the beloved superhero movies like Batman Begins or X2 yet, because I'll need to rewatch it, but it's about a hundred times better than X3, as if there was much doubt. Everyone clapped at the end. Go see it. EDIT: I got there a little late, so I only got to see two trailers. Just as I walked in, the Spider-man 3 teaser started, and it immediately got an ovation. I can't wait. The other was just Lady in the Water.

Christian's captain charisma shirt wasn't that bad.

Not ordering, not only because ONS was two weeks ago, but I have no interest in any of the matches. RVD-Edge has had next to no build other then a few run-ins. Besides, we all know the real main event is DX vs. Spirit Squad. We've already seen Angle-Orton and Cena-Sabu. Based on the past, the lumberjack stipulation usually doesn't improve matches. Mick Foley promising a horrible match doesn't help matters. Umaga-Eugene and Kane-Kane... yikes. Logical booking says ECW gets buried tonight, going 0-3. I guess I could see Angle winning to keep him strong, but a screwy win for Orton (roll-up while holding the ropes, of course) is more likely.

Reaction to the Radicalz debuting on Raw: Headcheese might have a good shot of winning the Tag titles if the Radicalz interfere on their behalf.

Royal Rumble Match from 2004. For crowd heat alone, though, it would be the Cena-Angle first blood match from the first Raw of 2006.

I can't remember many of the undercard matches from TV tapings, but I do remember seeing a pretty bad match at a SD taping in July 2002. It was Randy Orton (fresh off of debuting a month or so prior) & Mark Henry (as a face) vs. Reverend D-Von & Deacon Batista. Now, most disappointing is a different story. At a house show from October 2003, the 3-way World title match between Brock, Cena, and Angle was just finisher after finisher lasting about 3 minutes. Then the entire undercard from the 2004 Royal Rumble was very underwhelming, but the Rumble match more than made up for it.

Dreamer was like, "You're not hardcore until you've gone through me" or something, so Big Show just slowwwwly beat him up.

Yes! Test is coming to save ECW.

If I were the camera man, I'd be afraid of the vampire.

While most new teams immediately win the belts right away, I get the feeling that the Highlanders get to feud with Cade & Murdoch first. I can't say I'm excited.

If all the jobbers come out, not even DX can handle the Samoan Bulldozer, Umaga.

WWE trivia error: EVERYONE knows the April 1997 IYH was on 4/20, not 4/17...

Is Foley admitting that he's going to "stink up the place" supposed to make me want to pay $40 to watch this show?

Nevermind RVD vs. Edge and Sabu vs. Cena. I'm looking forward to Kane.....

Eugene snapped, ala Ken Shamrock.

Carlito complimenting other faces = not cool

An even better HHH commercial than the one where he controls the bees!
