  1. I get the feeling that WWE will likely want one Raw win and one Smackdown win so that one show doesn't look better than the other (despite the Rumble doing this every year). If that's the case, then I'd predict that HBK and Undertaker win. I'd want Angle and Taker, though. Just as mentioned above, Angle, despite looking like a bad ass all the time with his Hometown challenges and beatdown on Michaels last night, hasn't won on a PPV in seemingly forever. I think Angle deserves a big win, but I won't be surprised in the slightest if HBK goes over. As for Taker-Orton, Orton shouldn't break the streak. If anyone should, that's there right now, I would've said Cena, due to their history.

    Underrated PPV's

I'll agree on Ground Zero for HBK-Taker and Bret-Patriot as well. Plus, I still mark out watching the Headbangers win the Tag Titles after Austin runs in. The crowd going crazy (for Austin mostly) helps, too. This is my favorite IYH.

    Your favorite Wrestlemania moment

I hate to be repetitive, I'd say HHH tapping out to Benoit last year, followed by Eddie coming out to celebrate the win, was my favorite moment. It's stuff like this that's kept me watching wrestling nearly all my life. Others favorites... - Austin not tapping to Bret at WM 13 - Austin taking three Rock Bottoms at WM XIX before being pinned by Rock - Besides the entire match, Owen pinning Bret at WM X - Bret winning the title at WM X - Jericho hugging HBK post-match at WM XIX, only to lowblow him - Savage & Liz reunite at WM VII - Hogan slamming Andree at III
  4. JBL vs. Big Show I'm kind of interested to see this because of the stipulations, but I'm not expecting anything great. JBL is obviously going to win, probably due to interference from the Cabinet or botched Batista interference. Prediction: JBL Kurt Angle vs. John Cena Just like the match above, it's an obvious win for Cena. I'm somewhat interested in seeing this match, too, because we never did get a blowoff to the summer's feud, which was a shame considering they built this for months. HBK will likely be involved. This has the potential to be MOTN. Prediction: John Cena Undertaker vs. Luther Reigns I don't care in the slightest bit. Nothing about this appeals to me in any way. Undertaker will win to stay strong heading into WM. Prediction: Undertaker Bashams vs. Eddie Guerrero & Rey Mysterio It seems too soon to take the titles off the Bashams, but I could see Eddie & Rey winning. This can go two ways, I think. (1) The Bashams win after Eddie & Rey have a miscommunication, leading to an Eddie heel turn on Rey to set up a match at WM, or (2) Eddie & Rey win the titles, as Benoit & Jericho win the titles on Raw, and they have an interpromotional match at WM. I think the former is much more likely, so I'll go with that. And I believe the latter, the WM part specifically, is only speculation on the internet. Prediction: Bashams Cruiserweight Six-Man Match Could be really good if given enough time, or it could be the WM XX Cruiserweight Open all over again. With only 5-6 matches, and the Diva search crap, I'm guessing it will be given at least 15 minutes, which could be good. There are rumors of WWE wanting to revive the Cruiser division, so this might be a good start. I'll boldly predict that they try to establish London as a contender heading into WM, against Funaki, maybe by being the last man out or by just giving him a really good showing. I pick Funaki, because he's been built for months as a legit champion, so why stop his momentum heading into WM? Prediction: Funaki Heidenreich vs. Booker T I don't know if it's official, but it looks like it will likely be added. I can't see anything good coming from it, as Book seems to be lost in the shuffle right now, and they likely want to give Heidenreich some momentum heading into WM's tag match. They'll probably have Book nearly win, only for Heidenreich to intentionally DQ himself and beat down Book with a chair, or something. Prediction: Booker T via DQ Overall, it looks like a mixed bag. I think Angle-Cena and the Cruiserweight matches have potential, but it's not worth $35, especially with WM being in April for even more money. I'll wait for the DVD.
  5. Yeah but wouldn't the amount of time needed to setup the and tear down the cage neccesitate having that match as the last match? I've been under the assumption that the cage is the same cage they always use, just with barbed wire on top and maybe some on the sides, so it would probably just be hanging above the ring, like usual.

Used to like them, can't stand em now

Booker T for all the reasons mentioned above. Randy Orton. I used to like him as a mid-card heel from Fall 2003 all the way to this past summer, but as a face, he's unbearable. And I really hate the signal for the RKO.
  7. Or Situation 3: On Raw, when Teddy Long comes on to try to get Batista to sign the contract but doesn't, Shawn takes it and signs it, going to Smackdown himself. Well, HBK DOES like to steal contracts like that... I thought SD was decent, with Cena-Book being better than I was expecting. The girls coming out in the middle of the 6-man was rediculous. At NWO, I'm thinking that they put Cena-Angle on last, with Cena getting the face win to close the show, as opposed to a heel JBL win.

    question about logo's

The first PPV to use the scratch logo in the corner of the screen is Royal Rumble 1998. The first PPV to have the scratch logo on the turnbuckles was Over the Edge 1998.

    Problem with text on internet

    Okay, thanks everyone.
  10. So I was on a site copying and pasting text back and forth into MS Word, using the keyboard (CTRL+C... CTRL+V). When I had one paragraph highlighted, I pressed CTRL and C in a different way than how I was pressing them before, and it caused all the text on the page and rest of the internet to become bigger. I've been trying to get it back to normal, but I can't figure it out. Can anyone help me?

Live from Saitama, It's Velociday Night!

I missed the first match and saw the second one, and I'd say I liked this London-Akio match better, right now. My only gripe would be that the commercial break came out of nowhere. It seemed like London was about to dive out of the ring after not being able to a minute earlier, so I felt kind of cheated. The bump onto the steps was SICK. There were some awesome counters and reversals. I loved it. Bring on part IV!

    Shows you've been to.

So, the one house show I went to, the main event was 2 minute Angle-Brock-Cena match. You can imagine the disappointment.

    Amy Weber done with WWE?

And she was the won Diva Search person that I actually liked in her role...
  14. Watching it live with three other people in the room, I wasn't paying much attention, so it came off as really dull. After a second viewing the other day, I actually did like it and thought it was decent, although nothing too special. The last five minutes or so is what sticks out, when Orton gets the concussion. As someone said above, it was something different than the usual cheat with sledgehammer (although it was attempted) or run-in finish.

    Wrestlemania Card

I think it's safe to say that the first four matches are set, but here's my full card for right now. WWE Title: JBL vs. John Cena World Title: HHH vs. Batista HBK vs. Kurt Angle Taker & Kane vs. Heidenreich & Snitsky U.S. Title: Eddie Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio IC Title: Shelton Benjamin vs. Charlie Haas World Tag Team Titles: Chris Benoit & Chris Jericho vs. Edge & Christian Cruiserweight Title: Billy Kidman vs. Paul London Obviously, Haas is on Smackdown, so it's interpromotional. If it's too much trouble to work the IC Title into the match, then forget about the title, but I'd love to see them fight. It's too bad they haven't done anything useful for Haas to make him stand out on SD. When he was at least given a storyline with months of build and a payoff at a PPV, they totally forgot about it. Seriously, other than Puder talking to Jackie on that one SD, I can't remember any mention of it at all. For Eddie-Rey, just turn Eddie heel and the match can work. For the World Tag Title match, either team can win the Tag belts from La Rez. It can really work with or without the belts, though. I just want that match. London vs. Kidman or Funaki would be fine. Just give me a Cruiserweight match and give it some time to be good, as opposed to last year's 10 man match that lasted under 10. I'd personally be happy with that card as is, but obviously guys like Big Show, Orton, and Booker T are missing among others. I can't think of anything to do with any of them, except have Orton vs. The Rock, which I wouldn't mind seeing, I guess. Everyone is suggesting Booker T & Big Show vs. Bashams for the Tag Titles. Personally, I'm sick of these thrown together teams like this. Yes, the Raw Tag Title match is seemingly thrown together, but they all have history and are former teams. Rather than make such a tag match, why not just have a 20-Man Interpromotional Battle Royal and have Big Show finally get a WM win?
  16. The second Haas entered, I was cheering for a WGTT reunion. It was awesome seeing them do the double team, but seeing Benjamin thrown out like that... And the second Haas started pummeling HBK against the ropes, I cringed, knowing that he would charge and be tossed over...
  17. Don't get me wrong, I loved the Rumble, but I'd probably have to watch it some more. Plus, 2004 will always rank high due to me being there live and seeing one of my favorites win.
  18. I thought the show was really good overall, only having a few gripes. Firstly, I was pissed they didn't replay the awesome Rumble history video from the end of Heat on the actual PPV. I'm guessing it was due to time constraints, because they didn't show the 3-way's either. Anyway, I would've liked to tape that. I thought the Rumble Match was really good, just not as good as last year's. I was only really disappointed with Eddie having no contact with Flair or Batista. I loved the HBK-Angle stuff, Raw vs. Smackdown, Simon Dean working out, and Hassan's elimination among others. For once, there was actually a little bit of uncertainty as to who was going to win when it came down to Cena and Batista. I don't mind the double elimination now that they actually did the sensible thing and had them fight, again. Everything else was good, except for the Casket match. Speaking of which, I seriously thought Heidenreich & Snitsky were going to start making out when they each said they liked each other. Surprise of the Night: A WWE PPV ends about 5 minutes before 11.

Worst WWE PPV you've ever ordered?

Definitely KOTR 1999. Even as a mark, I knew what I had just watched was shit. Although, the WWF had my interest when Steve Blackman was almost inserted into the main event, but they disappointed me, yet again. Honorable Mentions go to... KOTR 1997 Unforgiven 2000 Armageddon 2002 And I was going to order KOTR 2002, but backed out at the last second because I had to do something else. Smart move.

Official Royal Rumble 05 Entrance List

I can't tell you how many, but I'd guess that the year with the most is either 1998 or 2003 both toward the end.

    Classic Royal Rumble Review

I'm bored, I'll do one. 1997 Crush Ahmed Johnson Fake Razor Ramon Phineas Godwinn Steve Austin Bart Gunn Jake Roberts British Bulldog Pierroth The Sultan Mil Mascaras Hunter Hearst Helmsley Owen Hart Goldust Cybernetico Marc Mero Latin Lover Faarooq Savio Vega Jesse Jammes Bret Hart Jerry Lawler Fake Diesel Terry Funk Rocky Maivia Mankind Flash Funk Vader Henry Godwinn Undertaker How sad is it that I can remember the entrance order for any Rumble from 1997 and up? Final Five: Bret Hart, Steve Austin, Fake Diesel, Vader, and Undertaker As referees try to separate a brawl between Mankind and Terry Funk, both of which are eliminated, Bret Hart launches a surprised Austin, who was in there over 50 minutes, over the top and to the floor. Austin realizes that the referees never saw him, so he sneaks in and tosses both Vader and Undertaker out as they fight near the ropes. Meanwhile, Bret throws Diesel over, not aware that Austin snuck back in. Immediately after eliminating Diesel, Bret is thrown out by Austin, who the referees quickly declare the winner. Bret gets in the referees' and Vince McMahon's face as Austin is quick to get out. Highlights - Up until about # 6, there being no timer due to technical difficulties - Fake Razor being tossed in mere seconds - Ahmed Johnson being an idiot and jumping to over the top and eliminating himself after seeing Faarooq in the aisle. - Austin eliminating Phineas, Bart Gunn, and Jake Roberts in succession - Owen Hart eliminating his bizarre tag team champion partner, Bulldog - Mil Mascaras being an idiot by diving off the top rope outside onto Cybernetico & Pierroth immediately after eliminating them - Austin simultaneously throwing Mero and Owen Hart over - Austin and Bret Hart's mini-match - Jerry Lawler entering from the commentary table and being hit out in seconds - Mankind and Terry Funk fighting - Austin sneaking back in to eliminate Vader, Undertaker, and Bret in a row to "win" the Rumble - Bret Hart going insane after being tossed by Austin - Steve Austin lasting from # 5 and winning Steve Austin IS the 1997 Royal Rumble. On a "Rumble Scale", this is about 5/10.

Isn't Iron Sheik incapable of going over the top rope though? I remember reading that after he won WM X7's gimmick battle royal.
