I think it'd be best to build to the match with Rourke just being himself, and then at WM, he comes out as The Ram.
-
I like to think that Edge, or just about any other credible heel for that matter, truly believes that he can beat their opponent, Jeff Hardy in this case, alone. Chavo would be their just in case help is needed.

I was thinking about ordering the webcast on WWE.com. Are they generally good quality, or would it be better to hope for a good stream?

I'd guess no. He didn't even do a crowd entrance at Survivor Series, which disappointed me when I was there.

I finally got to see this today. It's been said over and over again, but this was really good. At the same time, it was pretty depressing, to the point where I probably won't be watching this many times in the future. I will say that the first deli scene was awesome. Reading above that Rourke actually was serving real customers makes it even more entertaining. Weird/funny stuff in my theater: A couple actually brought their, maybe, 10-year old son. You could hear the mother's reactions throughout the movie due to the inappropriateness of so many scenes, particularly the "partying" with the fireman chick. I was fully expecting them to walk out at parts, but surprisingly, only an old couple did during the clips of the Necro Butcher match.

It had to have been a last second addition. I remember watching the show live and being surprised that it was added.

My first thought, as well. Not to mention "Highway to Hell" was the theme for Summerslam 98.

For Black Friday 2007, FYE was running a promo where after you bought Smackdown vs. Raw 2008, you got Unforgiven 2007 for free. So, in the ad, next to the picture of the video game, they put a smaller picture of Clint Eastwood's Unforgiven, with the FREE WITH PURCHASE graphic. That always made me laugh.

In real life, I think he's filming his part for Inglorious Bastards. Maybe it was just me, but I wasn't really feeling this episode. It was still good, but just not up to the usual standard. I'll say not hot as well, assuming hot is in a different league than attractive.

I've always found one specific part of the Goldust/Crush match in 1997 to be very amusing. D'Lo and Clarence Mason start going after Marlena outside, so Goldust intervenes. Meanwhile, Crush begins to approach Goldust from behind, unnoticed. With that, the little kids in the front row get really excited and start yelling "Goldust! Behind you!" several times. Finally, there's one last "BEHIND YOU, GOLDUST!", but unfortunately, it falls on deaf ears, as Crush attacks...

You could probably lump Kurt Angle in with the 2000 class since he really only started to do important stuff in 2000. In 99, all he did was face lower card guys and carry his undefeated streak.

Others might disagree, but I think there's definitely a lot of unpredictability as to who's winning the Rumble match. HHH is always a favorite when he's entered, but seriously, how many times does the #1 entrant have to win? It's a fun story to do once and a while, but we're at the point where it can wait several more years before being done again, hopefully. I've been picking Orton as the winner, but the McMahon story seems like it wouldn't need the Rumble win to go with it, so I'm a little unsure. But then again, who's to say that this is even leading to an Orton/McMahon match? I'm disappointed that I won't be able to order this since I'm away at school (the first Rumble I won't be ordering since 1997). I'll just hope for a good stream.

Well, last year was supposed to be break-free before the strike, so I'd assume the plan is the same for this one. When they made the decision to cut the seasons from 23 episodes down to 16, I think I remember reading that they would all go uninterrupted.
-
That would make a lot of sense since Desmond had a similar experience at the end of the first episode. In the flashback, he met Faraday at the hatch backdoor with instructions to go to Oxford, but it was actually a dream/memory.
-
Yes, that was definitely her.

I, too, was disappointed to see the man, the myth, the legend... FROGURT, dead. There is way too much crazy stuff going on at this point, that I don't even want to guess where it's going, since I wouldn't even be close. Two entertaining enough episodes, and I'm glad to see Locke back with the group, for now at least.

TSM Remembers: The Natural Born Thrillers
Aero replied to PILLS! PILLS! PILLS!'s topic in General Wrestling
That was O'Haire's phrase for the devil's advocate gimmick. -
I dunno...I kinda doubt El Dandy ever knocked anyone out with a punch... WCW announcers always did tout El Dandy’s punch as being one of the best in the sport. He never used it as a finisher (I believe he used a La Majistral style roll-up he called the Dandy Roll or something) but the announcers would always note when he hit his big punch. My favorite El Dandy moment was when Flair and Anderson were bribing him to lose to David Flair back in 99. Flair’s bribe was hilarious, saying something like, “steak every night, stay on this side of the border, permanently.” Then during the match, El Dandy got pissed at David for something and knocked the piss out of him which prompted AA to spinebuster him so that David could get a cheap win via the figure four. Hah, I'd kill to see that. AA splattering El Dandy all over the mat with a Spinebuster, and David getting a cheap win. Fun times! Because I don't know how to embed youtube videos Because El Dandy's picture had to be quoted again.

I would say Tony in season 5 says hello, but he's not dead anymore. But then again, Agent Walker probably won't die either.
-
One awesome thing about the season premiers is the usually weird/interesting openings. So far, we've had the inside of the hatch reveal, New Otherton reveal, and Oceanic Six reveal... so what opens the new season tonight? I'll guess it'll be something to do with Locke leading the Others. That's what I'm most interested in seeing tonight.

It was small, but it looked like Charlie probably could have squeezed out if he really tried.
-
Charlie was an idiot.. I would've just swam out the port-hole that Mikael blew up. That's what I originally thought, too, but after more viewings, I assume Charlie knew he had to die if he wanted Desmond's vision of Claire and the baby getting on the helicopter to actually happen. So he decided to drown for their benefit. Of course, that didn't happen, so I'm trying to figure out what would have caused that to not happen.
-
George Mason got a silent clock when he walked out of CTU in season 2 after giving up his command to Tony. Of course he was dying from radiation poison, but he didn't die until later when he crashed the plane with the nuke. I'd be really shocked if Walker is dead.
