Yeah, the atmosphere around the entire program needs to change. Go to a game at Ohio State or Tennessee, or Florida. The fans there are fucking awesome they cheer on their team. We had kids leaving the student section after Michigan scored to get within 7. The fans sit on their ass and don't make any noise while they sit around and blame the refs for bad playcalling and passing. I mean the University told students who got placed outside the student section they couldnt stand up during games because they alumni behind them couldnt see. As much as it pains me to say this, being Lloyd Carr is a legend in my town, but he needs to go or shake up his staff. The decisons they make in clutch situations are so bad. Why the fuck did they keep running sneaks with Henne. Put in Antonio Bass or Steve Breaston at QB and see what the defense does. Do something unexpected

exactly....Matt Guitierez is so much better than Chad Henne. It is just the guy basically lost his job because he blew out his shoulder. He's mobile, has exhibited poise and isn't the college version of present day Joey Harrington. The defense came to play, and Henne blew the game. He doesnt go through his reads, throws erratic balls, and does not have a Braylon Edwards to throw to this yr. If i was Carr, next week I give Gutierrez some real time to see what he can do

Just got back from the U of M game....Chad Henne can't complete a pass with any accuracy, and the playcalling on offense was the worst ive ever seen. 4th and 15 and you throw a four yard out to the tight end

i am totally torn on which of the nhl 93-97 games were better but I might have to say that 94 has the most sentimental value. Its been over 10 years but my brother still points out he beat me 1-0 when i had like 44 shots with Vancouver(best team on the game) and he had like 7 shots with the devils and fucking Chris Terreri shut me out

Northern Illinois has become one of the stronger MAC schools. They were the ones leading the "MAC Attack" in 2003 with wins over Maryland, Iowa State, and Alabama. Their biggest issue is that they never beat Toledo. As far as Delaware and the Atlantic 10, unless you are a student, alumni, or live right by the campus, most people just don't care. Not big time enough. And no, the only Division I-A conference I can conceivably see it better than is the Sun Belt, and that would be pushing it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Those Blue Hens sure are a solid team. Did they not win the national championship two years ago. As for NIU, I damn sure hope that they don't beat Toledo this year. My buddy Josh is a starting tight end for them this year

Holy shit, I say this as a Michigan student and lifelong fan, those boys are not a top 3 team right now. They should be behind Ohio State, Iowa and LSU right now at least. You could argue that Tennessee and Va.Tech are also better right now than Michigan. All the talking heads have been saying they looked impressive against Northern Illinois. Are the Huskies expected to contend for a MAC title because I thought "we" should have blown their doors off and won by at least 28 points

Yeah, I loved the first two albums, but I at least wanted to hear the album before buying it. Either way I'll probably be at the October 2 concert in Detroit

I agree to an extent...after being at the game Saturday this is a borderline top 10 team. Northern Illnois is a damn good football team so I am not taking anything away from them, but Michigan has looked just flat out terrible defensively the last 6 games going back into last season. how many times will a zone read run go for big yards on that defense. Will all that talent you would think these kids know how to wrap up and tackle. The staff doesn't use personel correctly. Pierre Woods, Lamar Woodley, and Gabriel Watson should be lined up on the same damn side. Prescott Burgess should not be covering slot recivers. Michigan's offense is going to be amazing but they will lose at least two of these four games: Notre Dame, Ohio State, Michigan State, Iowa. 10-2 would be a great year for this team especially if they can only lose one game in conference

Toronto is fuckin' gangsta apparently

Detroit had numbers like that before Martin Luther King Jr. Day -
DA, you sound like Dave Prazak.

Yeah poor Michael Hart. He had Freshman phenom written all over him as did Chad Henne but they came on the scene the same year as Adrian Peterson. Course I was looking at this college football message board and according to the Michigan fans there AD can't hold Hart's jock. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah but that's Michigan fans. Most of them make you look like a mild OU fan. MSU fans hate Michigan fans more than we hate Michigan. Especially considering that 90% of the UofM fans that I have met have never, and will never, be enrolled there. (man I used the word fans a lot there) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I actually am enrolled there, and I am nowhere near the level of a moron as some of the Michigan "fans" I have met. Some people actually thought had Michigan won the 2004 Rose Bowl that they should have been given a share of the national title, completely ignoring the Sugar Bowl. Half the students here are from out of state it seems, and half of them have probably been fans since they had to settle for Ann Arbor instead of Yale. If they were true fans they would know Michigan is good for one-two just horribly bad losses on the road where the coaching staff goes Eugene. By the way, as far as MSU goes, I don't hate the school as much as most people around here. I have family who went there, I almost went there, and I have had way too much fun. Plus, MSU is good for beating at least one time I do hate, Norte Dame or Ohio State, at least once every few years

I and a lot of other people think Roderick Strong is gonna be the guy they build up to beat Gibson.

Haha, are you serious you mean the Greyhound station that is across the street from a huge ass Michigan State Police building. And right up the street but not one but two federal buildings. That part of town is one of the safer parts of the downtown area with all the security around there. Go towards Dearborn on Michigan Ave. at about and you will see way scarier shit. And I will say this, pretty much about 90% of Downtown is no worse than any other city, its the neighborhoods within the city that actually scare the fuck out of me. Getting back to Mania 23, for all intents and purposes they can probably fit in 67,000+ seeing as people who havent watched in years will go just because of nostalgia. Older people who are 25+ are already talking about going if it is in Detroit, and these people honestly are the types who might watch Wrestlemania or if some old legend is on. Vince and CO. should not have any problems selling out Ford Field with halfway decent angles and enough nostalgic value but not too much where it overshadows the current product

So wait, everyone expected Michigan, a team with an even greater history of choking than Texas, to "squash " a team that had a legitimate gripe about not getting an at large bid no matter how annoying Mack Brown's campaigning was. Actually most people in Ann Arbor were scared shitless of Vincent Young and his talents and pretty much knew he would run around all day, it was just a matter of could our offensive balance counteract the one man show. Going back to the subject of Cal not having motivation, they pretty much just were not ready to play. Did Miami go out and get smashed by Florida, the year the the team they beat played OU for the title. No. Frankly, Cal showed that they might not have been a "Top 4" team like I thought they might have been all year. They lost to a mediocre team while Texas beat the Big 10 co-champions. And...the Holiday Bowl is Pac 10#2 vs Big XII #3, so since they didn't win the conference they went to the game that TRADITIONALLY, they would have went to

see except he didnt spend his money and he did albeit briefly go to college he just didnt finish.....so that takes away the funny in your comment

why can't they bring back McCarty at a lower price....I mean the guy is a local legend
-
Everyone knows Shelton interferes in the main event to give Cena the win which sets up Cena/Shelton vs Carlito/Jericho.....that or Carlito wins this week and next week for the belt..damn

You walked around that neighborhood? Your badge is in the mail Yeah, It was definitley up there with walking from Hamtramck to Mexicantown Detroit at 4am with just one other person as one of the more dangerous things I've ever done

Why exactly do you dislike the Pistons, the Bulls/Pistons rivalry was like 15 years ago, and honestly the Bulls became alot of people in Michigan's team during the Pistons dark ages from 1992-95. As for the city, firstly, the Pistons aren't don't play in Detroit, and what the hell does Detroit being a shithole have to do with liking the city's basketball team. I went to a Tigers game at Comiskey and after somehow walking around the surrounding area, I went "Wow, this part of Chicago is just as big of a shithole as the shitty parts of Detroit". But that doesn't stop me from rooting for the Bulls to actually become a good team again, which they have.
-
Well, if you consider the Pistons beating the defending two time conference champions, the team with the best record in the NBA, and a team with 4 future Hall of Fame players and proven clutch playoff role players, a fluke. Then they were a fluke. Like others have said, when you get two defensive minded teams like the Pistons and Pacers together, its going to be a half court defensive battle, which is sometimes just as entertaining as those 120-118 games where no one plays any defense at all. The Pistons have played some great games with San Antonio, Dallas, and Phoenix this year, with the scores in the high 90s. As for the Heat, who in the hell have they played in this playoffs. The Nets and that great inside presence, Nenad Kristic. The Wizards, who just let Dwayne Wade roll over them. Miami hasn't seen a team so far that can defend at all 5 positions. The key to this series will be if Damon Jones, Dooling, Haslem, etc can get off. Because if they don't, the Pistons will say hey Shaq take your 25 points and concentrate on shutting down Dwayne Wade. Pistons in 6 or 7 if they can finish off the Pacers.

Can we first at least make sure the Pistons put away the Pacers. Those guys will just not die.

Ok, I have a DVD player on my Gateway, and I used to always watch movies on it in the dorms last year before my computer crashed. So anyway when I sent my computer to get fixed, they wiped out my hard drive and I lost everything i didnt back up. Now when I go to watch DVD"s I can't since I need a decoder, and I havent found any free ones and I am too broke to buy one right now. Does anyone know where I can get one for free or for super cheap

Yeah- If going to Yale for undergrad and Harvard for grad makes you "straight fucking stupid"... There's a difference between being educated and being smart. I agree. People always throw out that Bush went to Havard and Yale for his college studies. How does that automatically make him not stupid. Going to an elite school means nothing when it is entirely possible that he got solely because of the power and money his father had. I'm pretty sure if my dad was worth 100 million dollars and I was an average student who wanted to go to Havard that it could be arranged.

I still say Real World: Detroit of course with them living in Royal Oak but working or something on the Eastside would be golden.

I would've felt bad about watching Vince Young do whatever he wants more than losing on a field goal. Oh, I fully expected Vince to torch us. Michigan can simply not stop running QB's.. Drew Stanton and Troy Smith tore them apart and well Vince Young is a better runner than both of those guys. It is just the disappointment that Michigan can never win the big game
