It was a gradual progression from 1997 to 2001, then when he came back in November 01 he was just a happy mugging fella.

Dare I say I'd rather have Lawler wrestle than commentate. If he just played an old-school heel, that might be entertaining. I liked the cocky jerk Jerry Lawler, not the "JR's buddy" Lawler we have now.

WWE Hires New "Talent" or "Host"
The Czech Republic replied to RavishingRickRudo's topic in The WWE Folder
I heard the "bigger and better things" and was wondering if that meant maybe he was going to start "wrestling" on Smackdown. It's funny/sad that after all this time, a higher-up finally figured out that Miller is terrible. (many months later) Suit 1: "What the fuck? This guy is awful! Who hired him? How long has he been on here?" Suit 2: "You did. He's been here for at least eight, nine months..>" -
Well if we're talking baseball of course it's Bonds. Griffey would've been if he didn't fall apart. And Gretzky > Jordan.

So we're in a different era than Wayne Gretzky's.

Over on CBS they're showing The Way You Know They're Rained Out, Jimmy Connors's match from 1991. Thought I'd let you guys know.

Darken his skin and subsequently bleach it back?

WWE Hires New "Talent" or "Host"
The Czech Republic replied to RavishingRickRudo's topic in The WWE Folder
Is Miller out of the WWE completely? Or is he moving into a wrestling role? Either way, he was shit on commentary. I sort of liked Chris Leary. -
Anybody watched I Love The 70s on VH1 yet? (BTW that new logo redefines crappy) For me, it's just not as cool as I Love The 80s, because it's the same format, and I think at this point we're oversaturated with 1970s nostalgia. Part of this may be that I was born in the 80s and can relate to most of this stuff from my early childhood, but still, I'm not enjoying this new series as much. We've got That 70s Show and all, and 70s retro has been around for a while now, with Brady Bunch enjoying a resurgence a few years back, and bellbottoms coming back to some degree. Even though ILT70s still has Mo Rocca and Hal Sparks, AND David Foley and Kevin McDonald, it's not as good as the 80s series, which hopefully will be back on the air soon (I still need to tape these, and missed them until just this July.)

Nice to meet you, New Best Friend. 11 Alive was on independent stations that because PAX stations later on. It was hyped as being a hot new show, and just ended up being Shotgun with different announcers, yes, and when they'd do promotional consderations and cut to a static shot of the Titantron, the side curtains were a different color. It sucked, lasted maybe one, two months? I think the last few episodes were just recaps before 11 Alive died.

So, in your opinion, what was Goldberg's "best match ever"? DDP at Halloween Havoc 98

We're doing things a little more differently: pick your favorite character of those that appear, but aren't of the main twelve. My contribution(s): Thomas or Lethal Word Man from TGS, natch.

What is your favorite WWE PPV theme of 2002?
The Czech Republic replied to Lil' Bitch's topic in General Wrestling
All the PPV themes suck. They've got hell to pay if they don't use the old WM theme for XX. -
Actually, the year was 1999.

Yeah and "You can get a finger caught in there." Back when Ross was better than Cole...

What about that Goblin? And what the hell is an Ungurait? -
Either before or after Lesnar became champion by defeating The Rock, he had a match with Bob Holly on Smackdown where the two of them didn't cooperate. Apparently, Holly was trying to rough up the rookie, and Brock was all like "OH NO YOU DIDN'T", and tossed Holly on his head with a powerbomb. Holly hasn't been seen since. Karmic retribution for Holly to just fade out of the scene after an injury.

Consider it to be done. Since I never finished 1890s Raw, I'll try TSM Raw.
