It was. My mom had most of the Doors albums, so I still got to listen to it at the time. Actually yeah, most of the classic rock I listen to came from my parents. Lost Boys, by the way, is one of three film soundtracks I own. The others are Batman and Lost Highway.

I always thought Dinosaurs was bullshit, except for Sherman Helmsley.

As an aside, I first noticed the Doors due to the use of "People Are Strange" in the Lost Boys. I said I liked it (I was 5 or 6 at the time) and my mom pointed out the huge picture of Jim Morrsion looming over the scene of them drinking blood and partying in the cave. She told me a little about him and the band, and like most kids, I wanted to be him when I grew up.

You know, I don't think Michelle's amnesia was really a special episode (I mean, they're supposed to teach you something, and how many people get amnesia?). Being the series finale, I think they just wanted a big, emotional storyline.

The beer reviewers describe Triple Bock as "syrupy" and marketed to "yuppie wine jerks". I'd try it out of curiosity, but it doesn't sound very good.
-
By the way, I had that Moosehead. It was pretty good, but I liked the Amber Bock better. I was looking at this website that rates beer. Sam Adams makes some pretty fucked up varieties.

It tastes vaguely chocolatey.

You read that before hearing the band at all, or before actively listening to them? If it's the former that's interesting. I got into many, many bands from this christian video called Hells Bells. I don't want to call it anti-rock because that makes it sound sensationalist, and it was very well done and extremely well researched. It was clearly meant for people already heavily into music, but as an impressionable youngster I was staggered by so many great bands presented at once. It got me into everything from Prince and the Cure to Foetus and Diamanda Galas, which should be an indication of how thorough it was. It remains to this day the root of most of what I listen to. I first enjoyed rap because of the Fresh Prince tv show, particularly the use of "Girls Ain't Nothing But Trouble" in one episode. I was exposed to a lot more when I was living in south central. I saw the Richard D. James Album in the store and said "That guy looks whacked. I gotta hear this." That started my foray into electronic, and in turn, more experimental forms of music. I've picked up a lot of fag indie shit and metal from this board, actually.

You're too sensitive.

I once attempted to do a concept album about Eminem being a robot from space which wound up becoming a cross-pollination of Chant with Jesus Jones and the Mortal Kombat soundtrack. True story.

I think he wants to sample it in a band.

I just now saw this Eric Prydz "Call On Me" video. The video creepily reminded me of Fatboy Slim's "Praise You", but the song is one of the most astonishingly simple I've ever heard. I bet it took him five minutes to make. I should be in that guy's place if all it takes is putting some chicks in a video over a song you pulled out of your ass. I can do that.

I didn't like it much. I didn't like his first album either, but I'm a big fan of Beg For Mercy. I don't particularly like the other G Unit guys (though I did get Young Buck's last for the cover), so I don't know what the problem is. I suppose he's just better suited for a group. That's one to own on vinyl right there.

Let's be sincere and non-self-referential

Oh, I have this step sister who I have romantic feelings for. Not my crazy cosplaying sister, this is a different one. She's about 16, and has feelings for me as well. It's a good thing I don't see her that often or I'd pretty much guarantee lines would be crossed. Also, I threw up all over somebody's bathroom last night and didn't even attempt to clean it up. -
I bet some wouldn't care, though it wouldn't be hard to do surreptitiously. In the height of it's popularity they used to do it on the radio.

I remember a Different World episode about racism as well. I didn't watch that show but I remember liking it. Had to do with "Nigger" being spray painted on somebody's car. I liked it because they had each party tell their side of the story, which were comically biased.

See? I'm a complete asshole. I can't help myself. -

There's a difference between being sincere and whimpering self pity. Go listen to some NIN records. -
They had a Fresh Prince like that too. That was a good one, Will got thugged out for the tv interview and he's like "YEAH, WE DONE IT! Yo, word to Big Bird..." There was more. Word to Big Bird was the important part, though.

Kinda looks like an action figure. Not bad, though.
-
I will probably give that a try. Oh hey, I got that Sneetches album. They're not bad. They sound like the Zombies, but not enough to where you may as well just listen to the Zombies.

I think I killed it by saying I was only joking after that Bible thread. I didn't mean it that way, though.

Weren't like 80% of Full House episodes "very special" episodes? I remember episodes about alcohol, crash dieting, drugs, and a LOT of them were about peer pressure. They usually had a message, but it was a soft message. Like not eating too much junk food, or staying out past curfew. Occasionally you'd see something which would be very special on another show, but it was par for the course for FH. That was just the way the show was. They had a few true special episodes. Drunk driving, death in the family (besides Pam), so forth.

I would hang out with Kotzy. I like hanging out with insecure people because I often feel like I have to be the center of attention. I'm narcissistic (maybe even vaguely megalomaniacal), but I can be extremely generous and compassionate, though when that side of me shows up is utterly random. -
Hey, I was just thinking about asking for any opinions on that LCD Soundsystem.
