There's not really anything surprising about them, they were intended to get the reaction you're giving them. Draw you in with a "How could they do that?" and then you read to see, well, how they could do that. Most of them even make some bizarre form of sense, with one exception.

I like Hardcore Discussion more than No Holds Barred, but that's all I have to say.

I couldn't have told you before, but now that you mention it, it was.

On "Mama Said Knock You Out" (the song) LL sounds like Sir Mix-A-Lot doing an impression of Chuck D.

I'll never forgive you.

This isn't a very good question, but it does allow for an anecdote so I'll let it pass. When I was about nine, I was a baseball game with some friends. The Montreal Expos were playing. After the usual rendition of the national anthem, some asked why I didn't put my hand over my heart for the singing. I said I didn't really feel like it. Then someone else came out to sing what I presumed to be the Canadian national anthem, which sounded pretty terrible. I said "I suppose I'd better put my hand over my ass for this one." One of the biggest laughs I've ever gotten... it was from third graders, though. They're not hard to impress. In retrospect, however, I know the Canadian national anthem, and that wasn't what they sang. I don't know what song that was.

That's disgusting.

No. On the rare occasions Banky and I have conversed away from an audience, he's been a regular, frankly amiable guy. The Banky persona, in it's own way, isn't that different from an Incandenza or even an IDrinkRatsMilk in that it's a combination of id, disrespect and invulnerability. However, through some mixture of oversaturation, staleness and sheer longevity, he's allowed Banky the poster to feed off of it's own hype and I think it can now operate under it's own will. So, Banky is Frankenstein, but when he steps away from the computer he's regular old Jeff again. In the old days you could see him crack and his real personality come through occasionally.

Hey, that's a good one. I like it the best even though it varies in style quite a bit from his other two, which I loved. I got the anniversary edition of Nas' Illmatic, LL Cool J's Mama Said Knock You Out and Planet Funk's Non Zero Sumness today. I had MSKYO years ago (might have been the first rap album I ever bought, actually) but lost track of it. It's as good as I remember.

I win the thread.

What about Japanese porn where they blur out penetration?

I think the definition of porn is something you're supposed to jerk off to.

Matt Young reminds me of Prince Paul.

Someone told me I look like David Blaine once. I've shown pictures here before, you know it's a lie.

Yeah, that's what I said.

I like to keep a good rotation. Here's her website though. There is a picture of Marilyn Manson licking a strap on right off the bat, however.

It was originally an aol name, years ago. There's usually some difficulty finding a name which hasn't been taken there, without adding numbers to it or some such foolishness. The Simpsons was on, and the mafia was using rat's milk for school lunches in a cost cutting measure. Rat's milk inspired IDrinkRatsMilk, which got a good reaction and I've used it several places since. I wouldn't use a Simpsons reference these days, but few enough people pick up on it that I don't mind. The St. part came from when I was doing my theology thread. I used IDrinkRatsMilk the Baptist for a while there. After finishing the thread and doing well with it, I had completed my spiritual wandering in the wilderness and achieved sainthood.

I'll probably love this in a terrible way.

I would have found the last panels pretty stupid had the overall quality (and attention to detail) not been so high. As is, I think enough of Alan Moore to see that as an intentional nod/send up of the comic bookness he was twisting around throughout. Consistency is what I admire the most about his writing.

They've recently been general lampoons of teen culture, inspired by a movie I watched. My current one, I found fully formed from someone who actually meant it to be cool, except it said "Gabba Power". I said, "They may as well be saying 'Disco Power'". A slight modification of my original thought and there you are. My signatures have traditionally followed one of three patterns: parody, non sequitur or fairly straight forward, which I hope works as kitsch if nothing else.

I'm not sure what to make of Leviathan. It's pretty good but it was hyped so much I feel like I should dislike it on principle. I don't like it enough to get the special edition they put out.

Now in a couple weeks... or hours, I don't know, I'll do one.

I went to a sex party last night.

Real Sex is the worst. -
So now we're going to have all these used as signatures, apparently.
