Annoying "Smark" critisisms that can be explained
Nighthawk replied to Steve J. Rogers's topic in General Wrestling
I think they've leaned more toward simulated television than simulated sporting event in that regard. The "Now that we're alone, here's my secret plan." with a cameraman in their face thing, I think we're just supposed to realize it's a fictional show. The ones complaining about that are a buncha marks. -
Not the best example, you know. If anything, he was technically proficient, but his stuff didn't "breath" properly, whatever that means. He was better at landscapes and still lifes than figure studies and portraits. See, that's pretty good.

You could say charm is just another another way of saying charisma, which he definitely did have. Yeah, I called that one. He wasn't a bad artist either. His artistic talent gets bashed as well. Because he's Hitler!

First review of the Chyna/X-Pac sex tape

Just a guy's asshole? Have a look. If you've seen that in the mirror a dozen times, I want you to pm me your phone number. -
I own Ricci's Pieces which is an IDM/Drill n Bass tribute to Christina Ricci. It makes less sense than it sounds like it would. But I like it.

I agree with this.

Watch Triumph of the Will sometime. It won't make you a Nazi... but you'll understand. We do get the revisionist version of Nazi Germany, most assuredly. It was a utopia in many ways.

You know this Jason's just having some fun with you, but there's some interesting stuff here too. Yeah. And? I don't see why that's a problem. It's not really a crime to WANT to do something; it's only a crime once you physically do something in order to make that something happen. Yeah, but we weren't talking about whether he was a criminal, we were talking about whether he was evil. If you equate evil with the physical, tangible commisions of evil behavior, it sets a standard I don't think you'd agree with if carried out. For example, is Charles Cullen more evil than, say, Albert Fish, or Larry Bittaker? If you don't know who I'm talking about, they're three serial killers, suffice it to say the first guy killed more people, but the latter two in a much more brutal, sadistic way. So now you're bringing into question the nature of evil, whether it's a quantitative or qualitative thing, and I think it's clearly qualitative. If not, Hitler becomes more evil simply because he had better organizational skills and the command of an army. So charisma, efficiency, and good timing = evil? I don't think so. Ishii was the Japanese general in charge of the "expiriments" in Manchuria, was he not? Correct. He committed far worse crimes against humanity than anything the Nazis were doing, and unlike the Holocaust, nobody escaped alive. Now, because he wasn't a well known figure like Hitler, he was able to be treated a bit differently after the war. He was captured by the Americans, and his punishment was to do research for America during the Korean war. Comes off as a bit of a double standard what will the way Hitler is called the Devil himself. This demonstrates how much of what we consider evil, and morality is just PR. That's largely what I meant about Hitler losing a war. Not that he's only evil cause the winners write the books, but the way he's the poster boy for evil. Look at this thread... you wouldn't see this kind of exchange is someone had asked if Stalin was really as bad as they say. I think we should get the emotion away from the issues of Hitler and Nazi Germany. Yeah, he attempted genocide. So did a lot of other people. Americans even. Why is he worse than them? He lost a war. Was he evil? Pretty much... study this kind of stuff long enough and you will start to question whether it really exists, though. But he wasn't as evil as he's made to appear. I'm certain of that.

As is the String Tribute to Queens of the Stone Age. As is the String Tribute to OK Computer Wrong on all counts.

If you want to say this isn't the greatest mix, what do you think is? I'm not listening to this mix, for personal reasons.

I love all those songs!

You know, I don't really like a lot of rock music from the 60s. I like a lot of pop, and there was some good soul and stuff going on. Sly & the Family Stone were putting out killer albums. My favorite stuff of theirs was from the 70s, but still. I suppose I'll go along with all rock music that matters starting with the Velvet Underground, but most of the scene, I guess you just had to be there.

Ah, here's a subject of some interest to me. I'm unsure of the climate for discussion, but there is a point can be made here. That being, Hitler is on the receiving end of knee jerk reactions. Hitler wasn't so much evil as he was... successful. What kind of standard are you judging evil by? Accomplishment? If one man kills millions, and another man would, but is incapable, is the first man more evil? That would, by extension, relate evil to opportunity and capability. Hitler did some bad things, but he isn't the most evil man ever, or a monster. I think you'd agree that the torture and experimention was a more evil element of the holocaust than the forced labor and gassing, which was something Hitler had little interest or knowledge of. Wouldn't that therefore make those perpetrators more evil than Hitler? The way he's presented has as much to do with the fact that he lost a war as his being more or less evil than someone like Stalin, Pol Pot, or even Andrew Jackson. Study up on a guy called Shiro Ishii. It will give you some food for thought regarding these issues. And, I'm curious, who here has actually read Mein Kampf?

And who cares what you think? This is a message board where we express our views and opinions and disagree or agree with each other. Get a life. I don't want one.

I haven't listened to an album of his since possibly Tha Doggfather.

I'm tired of people acting like Leo Dicaprio is constantly being bashed as an actor. The only people defending him for no reason are the same ones who bashed him for no reason. So, tell me the stupid ending to Darkness. I won't see it after hearing it was terrible, so I'm curious.

Applegate was good when she was underage. It happens sometimes.

I just don't like the Who and none of their songs sound good to me. Because I don't like them. So you won a bronze metal in the british invasion, big deal. I don't care for the Stones either, but Goat's Head Soup is the exception.
